Agartha: Quest For The Legacy

Chapter 45

"Hehe, Kid, what do you think you were doing?" Brad heard an evil laughter, as they took him near a truck, before pushing him in. Brad obediently went inside, as he wanted to get to the bottom of the matter.

The kidnappers chatted among themselves about how their boss would be happy for the fact that they finished their tasks.

Olympia was fuming inside the s.p.a.ce. "Why are you stopping me Master? Let me out. I will definitely kill them." She walked in circles and shouted.

"You are making me dizzy. Stop it Olympia, and let me focus." Brad chided her in his mind before focussing on the matter at hand.

Olympia"s already gloomy face became darker as she humphed, and turned around to sit in one corner of her allocated s.p.a.ce.

"Aww, come on. Don"t sulk." Brad tried to pacify her anger but Olympia harrumphed, so Brad let her be. Brad was going to say something, when he heard a movement. He noticed something which increased his vigilance. The truck was going at its full speed, there was no motion inside the truck. Everything was still.

"How could this be?" Brad thought to himself, his brows furrowed in concentration.

"What happened? Why are you frowning?" One of the kidnappers asked.

Brad signalled them that he needed water.

One of them removed the gag from his mouth, and forced a bottle to his lips, and said in an irritated tone, "Drink fast."

Brad nodded his head before drinking it. He slowly fell into a slumber, and dreamt of his parents, his friends, his companions, Olympia, and Deablo being slaughtered. Soon, the scene changed into a person standing with a longsword in his hand over a pile of dead bodies.

He looked carefully at the person, only to realize that it was him all along. He was so shocked that he shivered. He felt cold. Too cold. Was it the AC? But he remembered that he was sitting in a truck. How can there be an AC inside a truck? He realized that he was sweating too much. His shirt was now fully wet from his sweat.

Where is this place?" Brad wondered.

The vehicle didn"t seem to stop, and he felt it was the longest time. Brad was never the one who could take things slow. He was always on the move. Sitting in the vehicle bored him a lot. He wanted to do something, but the lack of sights did not allow him.

Suddenly, Brad thought. We are in New York City, and travelling by truck means it won"t take much longer to move from one place to another. Suddenly, Brad had this lightbulb moment where he understood that the kidnappers must be roaming in circles, in order not to leave any trails.

Brad wished that they would make it faster. He was losing his patience. He sighed in his heart. He had to go to the East Village too. He was tempted to call Olympia and let her end these people, but resisted the temptation.

"Why do you think Boss asked us to kidnap this kid?" What they didn"t know was Brad hated being called a kid.

Brad was now fuming with extreme anger. "They dared to call me a kid. Just you wait, Imma show you what a kid can do."

After what it seemed another hour or two, the truck stopped. Brad thought to himself, "At long last it stopped. Any more and I would have been too frustrated and called Olympia. Thank G.o.d they didn"t test my patience limit."

As Brad was thinking these, he was forcefully pulled out of the truck before being dragged to somewhere else.

Brad extended his senses to feel the surrounding vastness. He couldn"t feel anything other than the wind brushing past him. There was a faint sound of the same wind blowing against a metallic structure.

"It is definitely a warehouse. But why did they bring me here?" Brad"s blindfold was removed, but it didn"t affect his vision as it was nighttime, and there was no light in the vast field. When he looked ahead, he saw a warehouse.

He turned to look at the kidnappers, who were unlike the jovial self, were now walking straight and stiff. He was amused at their change, but his smile froze as he saw something from the corner of his eye.
