Chapter 2639: Talent Skill Divide! A Trade With The Sunlight Slug! (5)
Editor: Henyee Translations
Was this really released by the Sunlight Slug?
He didn’t look like one at all.
Why was a Universe Behemoth complaining weakly like a child?
“Bad guy!”
Just when w.a.n.g Teng was in deep suspicion, the voice was heard again. This time, he finally heard it clearly. The voice didn’t sound like a child’s, and he couldn’t tell if it was male or female. It sounded like a neutral voice with a hint of grievance, as if w.a.n.g Teng had done something heinous.
w.a.n.g Teng felt extremely awkward. He couldn’t help but feel embarra.s.sed.
He just took some Cloud Immortal Milk.
Why did this beast have to be so bitter? It was as if he had abandoned it.
“Are you the Sunlight Slug?” w.a.n.g Teng blinked and coughed awkwardly.
“Bad guy.”
w.a.n.g Teng was speechless. “Can you speak properly? If you can’t, I’ll continue burning.”
The Holy Flame in his hand expanded again as he spoke. It burned the sticky liquid around him. There wasn’t much liquid left. The Sunlight Slug knew that it was useless so it stopped secreting.
“You, stop!” The Sunlight Slug sounded a little angry.
“Let me out and I won’t burn you,” w.a.n.g Teng fiddled with the flames in his hand and said calmly.
“Give me back my treasure,” the Sunlight Slug said.
“That’s mine,” w.a.n.g Teng replied.
“Mine,” the Sunlight Slug retorted angrily.
“Did you write your name?” w.a.n.g Teng asked.
“…Shameless!” The Sunlight Slug was silent for a moment before it said angrily.
“Let me out quickly. If not, don’t blame me for being merciless.” The Holy Flame in w.a.n.g Teng’s hand burned furiously, giving off a scorching heat.
“Your flame is special!” The Sunlight Slug suddenly changed its tone.
“It’s alright. Have you heard of the Holy Flame?” w.a.n.g Teng was stunned for a moment. Then, he said proudly, “This is a light element divine flame. Be careful not to turn you into a dried slug.”
“You!” The Sunlight Slug was infuriated by w.a.n.g Teng again. It couldn’t speak.
“What about me? Let me out quickly.” w.a.n.g Teng blinked and said firmly, “This is the Herb Garden Planet, the headquarters of the Secondary Career Alliance. They must have discovered the appearance of a Universe Behemoth here. Be careful not to get killed by powerful martial warriors.”
The Sunlight Slug turned silent. “I am only a split body. My main body isn’t here.”
“Oh?” w.a.n.g Teng’s eyes lit up. He was right. He asked, “How did you enter the herb garden planet?”
“Why… do I have to tell you?” The Sunlight Slug almost told him how he entered the cave, but he changed his words at the last moment.
“It’s alright if you don’t want to tell me.” w.a.n.g Teng pretended that he didn’t care. “However, if you get discovered by the powerful martial warriors here, you won’t get anything. They might even discover where your main body is. At that time, you will be dead.”
“No one can discover where my true form is.” The Sunlight Slug sounded confident.
“Really?” w.a.n.g Teng was surprised. This Sunlight Slug wasn’t so easy to fool. He thought for a moment and asked directly, “What do I have to do before you let me out?”
“Lend me your Holy Flame. I won’t pursue the matter of you s.n.a.t.c.hing my treasure,” the Sunlight Slug contemplated for a moment before saying.
“You want to borrow my holy flame?” w.a.n.g Teng was stunned. He didn’t expect this request.
“Yes!” The Sunlight Slug replied.
“Why are you borrowing it?” w.a.n.g Teng blinked and asked curiously.
He was honestly curious. This Sunlight Slug wanted to borrow the Holy Flame from him. Wasn’t it afraid of fire?
Why did it need the fire?
Was it tired of living and wanted to barbecue itself?
“Are you going to lend it to me?” The Sunlight Slug had learned its lesson. It didn’t answer w.a.n.g Teng’s question and asked him directly.
“What if I don’t?” w.a.n.g Teng asked.
“If you don’t, we won’t stop until one of us dies.” The Sunlight Slug said, “Even if my clone dies, my main body, my countless clones, will take revenge on you.”
“…Do you have to be so ruthless?” w.a.n.g Teng paused and asked, “What if I lend it to you?”
“I have stored many spiritual herbs on this planet. If you want them, I can give them all to you,” the Sunlight Slug said.
Good riddance, a carrot after a stick.
“Why are you suddenly so generous?” w.a.n.g Teng hesitated before asking in surprise.
“I can’t bring them anyway,” the Sunlight Slug said.
“Erm… you make sense.” w.a.n.g Teng believed him surprisingly. He asked again, “Just borrow? You’re not s.n.a.t.c.hing, right?”
“Why will I s.n.a.t.c.h it? Do you think I can subdue a divine flame with my special ability?” The Sunlight Slug asked.
“Oh, you’re right.” w.a.n.g Teng nodded in deep thought. “In that case… Alright, I agree.”
“Just in case, you need to sign a spiritual contract with me,” the Sunlight Slug said.
“Sure.” w.a.n.g Teng was a little surprised. He didn’t expect the Sunlight Slugs to understand it so well. But he was relieved.
“Someone’s here!” The Sunlight Slug’s voice suddenly turned anxious. Its huge body suddenly shrunk at an astonis.h.i.+ng speed. Amidst a flash of white light, it turned into a palm-sized slug and landed on w.a.n.g Teng’s shoulder. “You take care of it.”
w.a.n.g Teng was stunned. Before he could react, he realized that the Sunlight Slugs had shrunk and a figure was stepping out of s.p.a.ce.
