Devil's Rise

Chapter 62

I was a bit upset the halflings had hidden that little tidbit from me about ghosts living in Bloodfang Hill. Since Alura knew about it, it seemed to be common knowledge around these parts. My trust in the local halflings had reached an all-time low.

If they weren"t backed by a n.o.ble devil I would wash this place in blood. I needed to keep a low profile, however. Right now I was Soulless, the wandering devil. Not James Hudson, the n.o.ble devil.

If I offended a n.o.ble devil clan, I would have to go running back home. Run home and be under Mikael"s thumb? Not a chance in the Abyss! I held back my rage.

I will get them to pay for this tenfold. However, now was not the time. Playing tricks with this young lord? Those halflings will pay!

I marked the entire town as dead. When I leave this place, Bloodfang Hill won"t be the only place with ghosts!

That night I prepared for my expedition into the wolpertinger infested lands. I ain"t afraid of no ghost.

The night was dark and eerie. Fog had covered the once clear lands of Bloodfang Hill. A slight chill was in the air as I entered the haunted grounds.

I brought Lokkar to the ready. I used my u003cSoul Eyesu003e, but they could not pierce the fog… I grew much more cautious, this place was more than meets the eye.

I entered the abandoned farmhouse to investigate. It was pitch black inside the farmhouse. I created a ball of Fire Essence within my hands and roamed about the house slowly. Nothing was out of the order when I first walked in, but slowly things began to change.

As I walked into the first room, I heard the flapping of shutters.

"Must be the wind?" I thought.

I continued to explore the old abandoned farmhouse. The floors creaked as I looked around the room.

I then heard a howl outside. Wolpertingers howl? That"s not right, this is out of the ordinary. This ghost must be trying to scare this young devil lord.

"Whoooo…"

I heard a soft moan outside. This ghost wants to compete with me? Ill show him who"s boss.

"Back off ghost, I"m a chef!" I said.

My skin crawled. The place was getting creepy now. This young devil lord didn"t want to die to a ghost. I needed to take a p.i.s.s, so I headed to the restroom.

Even though the place was abandoned this young devil lord wasn"t a savage.

I started taking a leak as I heard chains rattling outside.

"There you go," I said as I relieved myself. Ah, this place may be scary, but a young devil lord has needs.

I heard more howling at the door.

"I"m busy right now ghost, I"m working with a monster," I said as I finished my leak.

The door was broken down and in came a muscular ghost dressed in a black and white prison suit with a bald head and a ball chained to his leg.

"YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS NEW BOOTY!" said the ghost as he broke through the door.

"New booty?" I said.

"BOYS ARE MY FAVORITE," said the ghost as he grabbed towards my b.u.t.t with his long claws.

No, it seemed this ghost was a pervert. This young devil lord"s virginity must be protected. I dropped all thoughts of combat and ran away at top speed.

"I LIKES YA AND I WANTS YA!" said the ghost as he chased me around the farmhouse.

I could live and die, but I could not be violated.

"I"m a man… A MAN!" I said to the ghost as I fled.

"ILL MAKE YOU A REAL MAN!" said the ghost.

"DON"T FIGHT THIS, JUST LET IT HAPPEN."

The ghost flexed his muscles, ripping off his prison s.h.i.+rt.

"Fight what? Let what happened. This isn"t funny ghost!" I said.

A dark fog descended as the perverted ghost came closer. Fear gripped my heart, and I pa.s.sed out. His bare hairy chest was terrifying!

Soon I woke back up to icy water drowning my face as the ghost hung over me.

"WAKE UP BOY!" said the ghost.

"I LIKE MY PREY WET AND SQUIRMING."

"I thought I was dreaming. You almost drowned me ghost?" I said.

"ITS A WET DREAM," said the ghost.

"Wet dream? Wait a minute, I"m straight ghost!" I said.

The ghost was breathing hard as he towered over me, coming closer.

"Is this how it all ends? Violated by a ghost," I said.

"Sybil? Jurrath? Young Devil Lord Down!"

The Aspects couldn"t be contacted!

The ghost came closer and closer as my heart beat faster.

Just as he came close and attempted to deprive me of my most precious a.s.set… I grabbed his ball u0026 chain!

"You were just going to violate me ghost?" I said as I circulated all my essence around the ball u0026 chain.

"AHHHH." The ghost said as he shrieked.

"PLEASE SIR I WAS JUST PLAYING. IM A NICE GHOST IF YOU GET TO KNOW ME."

"I am a male! You are not in prison anymore, ghost!"

The ball and chain had a binding power on the ghost. It had followed him into the afterlife, so it held a special purpose to the ghost.

"You thought I was some puny halfling you could just violate?" I said.

"NO SIR, I RESPECT YOU, DEVIL," said the ghost.

"Chains that bind, shackle this ghost!"

u003cBinding Curseu003e

I cursed the ghosts to be bound by the ball and chain as my Curse qi circulated around them. Now his life and death were in my hands.

"Now ghost, I have cursed you to be bound by your chains," I said.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT DEVIL?" said the ghost.

"I am a young devil lord, all creatures that fall under my eyes serve me. Since you have offended me, you will serve me henceforth ghost!" I said.

This ghost may be a pervert, but he was powerful. He was at the Baron realm. A Baron realm ghost would serve this young devil lord well.

"THIS GHOST IS FREE! I WILL NOT BE SHACKLED AGAIN!" said the ghost as he fought my binding curse with all his might.

"Stupid ghost, those chains bound you in life. With my curse, they will bind you in the afterlife to do my bidding."

[Quest complete "Investigate the Ghost in Bloodfang Hill"]

[Reward issued: "Auxiliary Art: Ghost Taming"]

This art will be perfect to get this ghost under control. Though my curse works now there"s no telling what could happen if he escaped my curse.

"Are there any other ghosts in this house?" I said.

"NO, THIS IS MINE!" said the ghost.

"What is your name?" I said.

"I AM JAX," said the ghost.

"Watch over me Jax, and ensure no wolpertingers interrupt my devilry," I said.

"THOSE PESTS AVOID ME!" said Jax.

"Good, start cleaning up this farmhouse. You have left it in shambles," I said.
