Chapter 2798 Thousand-Li Charred Land

“Heh, such audacity, you guys are truly shameless. Do you guys still remember the words you said and actions you made when Fu Di was in danger? What are you expecting from Fu Di? To think you guys would shamelessly ask Fu Di to beg for you, this is hilarious, hahaha. Is this the dignity of the so-called prodigies? Shameless, disgraceful!” Jiang Chen said coldly and disdainfully.

“Jiang Chen, everything is our fault, please give us a chance. The Tian Men House did save you once before, Fu Di saved you too, are you going to forget all of that?” Liu Yunsheng said quietly as he lost his confidence.

“Very well! To say that I am forgetting my grat.i.tude! I would’ve killed you all if Fu Di wasn’t here. I owe Fu Di a favour, yes. But what is that to do with the lot of you? You guys are truly the lowest-of-the-low. If you were hesitant or even have a shred of humanity left earlier, perhaps I would’ve let you go. But you silently watched as Fu Di was getting killed and b.u.t.tered-up by those crocodiles. How much do you think you’re worth? Or… you think others are foolish and you’re the only smart guys here?” Jiang Chen said.

At this moment, Liu Yunsheng became speechless and flushed from being embarra.s.sed as it was all his due karma.

“I’m wrong, it is utterly my fault, please, I beg you, Jiang Chen. Forgive me, think about Fu Di, just think of me as an insignificant being, please, I beg of you.”

Liu Yunsheng knelt before Jiang Chen and Fu Di. Fu Di’s eyes showed hesitance.

Fu Di wanted to say something but was stopped by Jiang Chen.

“Don’t interfere, all of them do not deserve to live!” Jiang Chen said coldly.

“Jiang Chen! My w.a.n.g Clan will not let you go if you kill me.”

“My Heavenly Snake Residence will make sure you die a painful death!”

Yang Chenyuan and w.a.n.g Ce shouted in despair.

“Fine, I am ready for your sect to come look for me. I, Jiang Chen, am not afraid of any authority nor power.” Jiang Chen then waved his arm and a flame burst forth.

The four of them were engulfed by the Five Elemental Trigram Fire Formation, utterly vanquished, their souls weren’t spared too. At this moment, Fu Di felt somewhat guilty. However, he also felt happy that Jiang Chen was fine, as he would’ve died here if it wasn’t for Jiang Chen.

The five men were instantly vanquished. Fu Di silently sighed, Jiang Chen’s strength had once again shocked him. Who amongst the Divine Kings could face him?

“These cunning foxes must die, there’s no need to be merciful against guys like them. Your kindness is wasted on them and you will easily be manipulated by them. Blood for blood, I will make sure they pay ten-fold what they did upon you.” Jiang Chen looked at Fu Di with a fiery gaze.

“I’ve learnt a lesson today, Brother Jiang.” Fu Di nodded with a heavy expression as a wave of emotion hit his heart.

He would never be swayed by his kindness in the future thanks to Jiang Chen’s advice.

Jiang Chen killed five prodigies from the Long Gu Boundary without hesitation, those five were just clowns in his point of view.

“Brother Fu, these are ten replenis.h.i.+ng pills, keep it. I cannot move with you, because I may bring trouble to you.” Jiang Chen said without a pause.

Fu Di felt slightly bitter from Jiang Chen’s kindness.

Jiang Chen had made too many enemies, eight out of the ten great sects from the Qi Lian Boundary were his enemies. The rumours that he had murdered the disciples of those sects and left them within the Thunder Rush Sea spread far and wide.

Of course, perhaps his name would’ve slowly vanished within the society if he didn’t come back. Since only the Young City Lord, the disciples of Eastern Emperor Sect and Nine Dragon Palace managed to make it back alive. Jiang Chen was framed and those sects viewed him as their number-one enemy. They will surely not let him go, therefore, Fu Di would be in great danger if he followed Jiang Chen as he could not protect him if he was thrown in a life-and-death battle.

“Brother Fu, let us meet again if fate allows us. I hope we can join forces when we enter the Profound Connection Divine Palace together.” Jiang Chen smiled.

Fu Di silently nodded, wiping away all the negative thoughts.

Jiang Chen left and Fu Di was wearing a heavy expression. The same old Jiang Chen from the Divine Tomb, powerful and always spear-heading the way, one that looks like he’s within his league but towers them all. n.o.body else was able to overpower him back in the Divine Tomb, that decisiveness and vigour he displayed was one-of-a-kind. He swept through the Divine Tomb with his strength alone and brought those prodigies that came from the Immortal World to this world.

However, the difference between him Jiang Chen was akin to the sky and earth.

“Jiang Chen, one day, I shall catch up to you. Fu Di the prodigy is not just for show!” The current Fu Di could only look up towards Jiang Chen.

He viewed him as his life-and-death brother, the compet.i.tive flame within his heart could not be quenched, the heart that strives to become the strongest!

In that vast mountain range, one that pierced up towards the clouds, a charred terrain could be seen, it was a thousand-li radius black area, all floras were burnt to ashes, the stones and pebbles were grey, shattering into ashes upon the lightest of touch.

No living being could be seen around the area, only some tiny gra.s.s could be occasionally seen. Some tiny green spots in the grey-charred land.

“Wildfire destroys everything and a new life grows during the wind of spring. Hahaha.” A white-robed man said with a big laugh as he fanned his folding-fan, exerting an extraordinary peerless vibe. His eyes were sharp as he looked through the surrounding area.

“Mo Fangzhou, why do you think this whole piece of land is charred?”A topless dark man asked, his face was rough, emitting the same powerful aura.

There was an elegant-looking young man beside those two, his expression was heavy; he was filled with questions after seeing this charred land. Even stones were turned into dust as if the whole land had become a pile of sand.
