Yuan Xiao, Yuan Tian Ju’s disciple, stared at Xiao Yun with narrowed eyes. He was a Pill Refiner, and had studied under Yuan Tian Ju for 10 years. He naturally knew what would happen after an Antidote Pill was used, so he was completely shocked after entering the room.

Xiao Yun stood with his arms crossed, looking extremely calm, disregarding everyone else’s reactions.

At this moment, the Eldest Patriarch also rushed in, and seeing this, he felt incredibly shocked.

The Eldest Patriarch asked, “How’s Ting’Er?”

“Ting’Er’s poison has been stabilised,” Yuan Tian Ju replied. “And without an Antidote Pill as well.”

Everyone else relaxed. After hearing this, even the Essence Core realm Eldest Patriarch’s body trembled. He felt incredibly shocked and said, “He stabilised the poison without using an Antidote Pill? How is this possible?”

The Yuan family’s people knew just how terrifying this Moon Demon Poison was. Over the years, they had spent quite a bit of effort in dealing with this matter!

A few of the youths asked in surprise, “Fourth Uncle, are you sure that’s truly the case?”

“How could I be wrong?” Yuan Tian Ju’s gaze burned into that youth as he asked in a strict tone.

The youths all shrank back, looking fearful, and did not dare to say anything else. This was their Yuan family’s most powerful Pill Refiner – if they enraged him, they would not be receiving any more medicinal pills in future!

“Is this true?” The Eldest Patriarch was delighted, looking at the youth beside him in pa.s.sion. The youth remained calm and only slightly shrugged his shoulders as he nodded.

The Yuan family’s elders deeply breathed in, their gazes towards the youth becoming much more respectful. It seemed that this youth was quite unfathomable!

“How did you do it?” Yuan Tian Ju looked at Xiao Yun excitedly. As a Pill Refiner, he was quite familiar with some illnesses and poisons, but he had been completely at his wit’s end against this Moon Demon Poison. Without an Antidote Pill, it was incredibly difficult to extract this poison, so he simply couldn’t comprehend how this youth had done it.

“Apologies, but it’s not convenient for me to reveal this,” Xiao Yun said as he smiled. Naturally, he would not tell others about how mystical his Martial Spirit was.

Yuan Tian Ju looked quite disappointed, but he quickly recovered, indicating that he understood. This sort of secret art was as precious as a pill recipe – how could it be so casually divulged?

The Third Patriarch asked in antic.i.p.ation, “Young sir Xiao, will you be able to completely eliminate Ting’Er’s poison?” He was feeling extremely excited, and had long since heard of how talented Xiao Yun was. Now that he saw this for himself, he felt as if he could see the day that his daughter was fully healed.

“Miss Yuan’s poison is too deep, to the point that it is within her blood vessels. Without a Sun Essence Fruit to refine a medicinal pill that can perfectly counter the poison, it will be quite difficult,” Xiao Yun replied. Even though he had a plan, he did not dare to talk big without certainty of success; he needed to leave a way out for himself.

“Even you don’t have a way?” The Third Patriarch felt incredibly disappointed, but his words were still quite respectful.

“Don’t worry, I’ll do my best,” Xiao Yun replied.

“Oh?” The Third Patriarch’s eyes lit up as he asked, “Do you need anything?”

“Bring all of the medicinal ingredients that you were going to refine with the Sun Essence Fruit, and I’ll try to refine a medicinal pill,” Xiao Yun said. “Whether or not Miss Yuan can be fully healed will depend on this pill. Otherwise, I’ll be unable to do anything else either.”

The Third Patriarch asked, “You want to refine a Sun Antidote Pill? But we don’t have a Sun Essence Fruit.”

“That’s right!” Yuan Tian Ju also said with an expression of confusion, “I’ve long since tried using other medicinal ingredients as a subst.i.tute for the Sun Essence Fruit, but none of them have been able to fuse with the other medicinal ingredients. Wanting to change the pill recipe that the people before us created is very difficult!”

All of the medicinal ingredients in pill recipes had been tested countless times, generation after generation, by their predecessors in order to create these pill recipes. Casually changing even 1 medicinal ingredient could result in the pill refining failing. In fact, sometimes even the age of the medicinal ingredient could affect the creation of the pill – what about completely changing a medicinal ingredient?

“Don’t worry about this, I have my methods,” Xiao Yun said as he smiled. “Just bring the medicinal ingredients, as well as the subst.i.tutes for the Sun Essence Fruit, and I’ll try to find a solution.”

“Find a solution?” Yuan Tian Ju stared with wide eyes. Even if their family’s old ancestor had said this, he would still feel doubtful. Only a Pill Master could do such a thing. This youth in front of him was only 16-years-old or so – how could he have such capabilities?

It was not just Yuan Tian Ju who felt as if he had heard incorrectly, but even the Third Patriarch and the others.

“Mm.” As everyone stared at him in confusion, Xiao Yun could only smile and nod.

He had refined even a Mysterious Congealing Pill; why wouldn’t he be able to refine a Sun Antidote Pill? It was just that Xiao Yun could not guarantee the medicinal effects of the pill, because he had never refined such a pill before.

“Alright, since young sir Xiao has such confidence, I’ll immediately bring the medicinal ingredients over.” Yuan Tian Ju observed the youth’s face, as if he was trying to glean some information. However, since Xiao Yun looked very calm, as if he had full confidence, he could only say, “However, I’ve already finished using the subst.i.tutes for the Sun Essence Fruit, and will need about 2 days to gather some more, so you’ll have to wait for a while.”

“I don’t have much to do right now anyways, so just come and find me when you’ve gathered everything,” Xiao Yun said. “I’m going to rest now.”

“Haha, this way please, young sir Xiao.” The Third Patriarch warmly smiled, then said, “Come, take young sir Xiao to rest.”

After this, Xiao Yun was brought to an elegant room to rest. The Yuan family’s elders all sent him off together, filled with hope.

The Eldest Patriarch said as he narrowed his eyes, “This youth is not simple at all!” Stabilising the Moon Demon Poison without an Antidote Pill was not something that anyone could do.

“Mm.” Yuan Tian Ju also nodded as he said, “This Xiao Yun is accomplished, though young; he’s quite talented.”

“I wonder how his accomplishments are in the way of pill refining,” everyone discussed, feeling incredibly curious about Xiao Yun. This youth was becoming more and more mysterious to them.

“I hope that he’ll be able to give us a pleasant surprise,” Yuan Tian Ju said as he immediately went to prepare the medicinal ingredients.

Seeing this turn of events, the other youths felt quite bitter, but did not dare to say anything. Xiao Yun had singlehandedly stabilised the poison, proving his abilities – who would still dare to doubt him?

Xiao Yun carried Yiyi in his arms as he walked with a beautiful serving lady to an elegant room.

This was an exquisite-looking courtyard: not only did it have a small bridge and flowing water, it also had a small lake with lush gra.s.s growing around it. There were flowers of all colours, bringing a fragrance when the wind blew. Looking around, it was indeed a beautiful residence.

Xiao Yun first went to take a bath, then started to rest. Even though he had not been affected much by the Moon Demon Poison, Xiao Yun was still quite tired after extracting poison for an entire night.

After resting for half a day, he had fully recovered.

“Yiya!”

Seeing Xiao Yun open his eyes, the snow-white little beast Yiyi jumped on to his shoulder and started to play with his hair.

“You must be hungry again, right?” Xiao Yun took Yiyi off and placed her on a couch as he smiled.

The snow-white little beast blinked, her eyes narrowing into slits as it looked at Xiao Yun. Her gemstone-like eyes sparkled, filled with expectation.  Of course, she was even more gluttonous, and had been thinking about her reward the entire time.

Xiao Yun shook his head and smiled at how cute she was.

This little fellow was quite intelligent and thoughtful – she did not continuously demand rewards, and only asked once he had finished everything that needed to be done.

Xiao Yun sent his mind into his sea of consciousness, and frowned.

There were now 2 red leaves on the Fire Essence Qi sub-branch, but there was only a mist hovering around them with no dewdrops. This was because Xiao Yun had not absorbed any Fire Essence Qi over the past few days.

The Martial Spirit seemed to be like a plant – it would only bear fruit if it was given water and nutrients.

“Yiyi, can you give big brother some Fire vital essence to big brother?” Xiao Yun asked as he stroked the little fellow’s fur.

“Yiya!”

Yiyi was very obedient and immediately took out the little cauldron and handed it to Xiao Yun. The little cauldron’s aura had been hidden – Xiao Yun was worried that experts would find out how extraordinary this little cauldron was, so he asked the little beast to conceal its aura.

Xiao Yun took the cauldron and drank a few mouthfuls of Fire essence liquid. His Martial Spirit flashed and the Fire Essence Qi sub-branch became incredibly resplendent. The mist became incredibly dense, and started to slowly condense on the leaves.

As such, Xiao Yun continued to drink that Fire essence liquid. Only when a fiery dewdrop appeared on each of the leaves did Xiao Yun stop.

“Alright.” Xiao Yun returned the little cauldron to Yiyi, and a dewdrop appeared in the air.

“Here you go,” Xiao Yun said as he handed it to Yiyi.

“Yiya!”

Looking at the dewdrop that gave off the aura of life, the little fellow was incredibly happy, and hurriedly took the dewdrop into her paws. However, seeing that Xiao Yun was smiling and looking at her, she immediately handed out the little cauldron again.

“It’s alright,” Xiao Yun said. “Big brother needs to rest for a while. Otherwise, I won’t be able to condense those dewdrops even if I drink more.” After experimenting a few times, Xiao Yun found out that the dewdrops took about a week to condense. Even if he had enough Fire Essence Qi, he would not be able to continuously produce them – there needed to be at least a few days between producing each one.

The little fellow seemed to understand this, and did not insist. She waved her little paw, and the cauldron turned into a pendant that hung around her neck, looking like a piece of jewellery. Following this, the fiery dewdrop entered her mouth.

After consuming the fire dewdrop, the little fellow narrowed her eyes, looking intoxicated, and her fur became even more glossy. This dewdrop brought her great benefits, and was not something that the Fire essence liquid could bring. Xiao Yun was also quite curious about these dewdrops’ effects.

Xiao Yun then walked out of the room and started to train.

Bang!

A fiery light exploded out, as if it was a berserk lion which gave off wild shockwaves. Xiao Yun started to control it with his hands, as if there was a lion in front of him.

“Training in this Flaming Lion Seal not only requires powerful Fire energy, but also requires one to understand the characteristics of a lion,” Xiao Yun muttered to himself. After trying it out a few times, he felt that it was missing something, leading to it not having much power.

“The characteristics of a lion? Perhaps a berserk lion?” Xiao Yun thought to himself, pondering this Martial Skill’s essence.
