Jiang Yi was having a hard time controlling himself in Undying Tribe. The peaceful East Imperial Continent had not been so peaceful recently. The secret mastermind acted once again.

This time, more than ten continents north of Sin Sea were attacked. These continents broke into war all of a sudden. They split into three armies and attacked one another, mindlessly killing civilians in the process. By the time the East Imperial Continent caught wind of this, more than hundreds of billions of people had already died.

In the past, the Yi Clan had always been in charge of things happening in the north-west. However, the Buddha Thearch and Buddha Emperor were missing; and the Yi Clan had been seriously injured after thirty-six clans joined forces against them. Thus, the Battle Thearch could only send a message to the North Thearch, Sword Thearch, Beast Thearch, Tang Shenji, and the others to discuss a new strategy. At last, the few clans decided to join forces to control the situation.

Too many people have died recently. They could not afford for this to go on. The various clans wanted to look into it, too; was Ao Lu the mastermind behind this breakout as well? If so, they would find Jiang Yi and get him to keep to his word by going to the Endless Deep Sea to settle the score himself.

In the end…

After more than ten DemiG.o.ds were sent to those small continents, they did not come back. All of them were killed in battle in Fire Beacon Continent. This made the Battle Thearch, North Thearch, and the others very astonished. They discussed once again and decided to go down personally. Once they confirmed that Ao Lu was behind all of this, they would work together to form an army once again and send them to the Endless Deep Sea.

The Battle Thearch and North Thearch gathered many people this time. Apart from the formidable martial artists who had been watching over the region, they also managed to gather a few DemiG.o.ds. All in all, there were tens of thousands of peak-stage Heaven Monarchs as well. All of them were teleported over to Yin Thearch City. From there, they set off toward the ten or so continents in the north-east.

As news spread, the East Imperial Continent flew into a frenzy.

The civilians of the continents thought that another big war was going to take place once again. The previous war resulted in them losing tens of millions of formidable martial artists already. If they attacked the Endless Deep Sea, more than seventy percent of their greatest warriors would be gone. This was a great catastrophe for the entire continent.

What if Jiang Yi—that b.a.s.t.a.r.d—worked together with Ao Lu to defeat them again? The civilians of the East Imperial Continent were worried about the North Thearch’s and Battle Thearch’s safety.

“The Mystic Divine Palace would appear, a calamity would befall, and the human race would peris.h.!.+”

The Mystic Thearch’s prediction spread across the entire continent. Many people began to see Jiang Yi as the cause of the calamity. Otherwise, why would there have been a calamity shortly after the Mystic Divine Palace appeared? Why would the human race perish?

Just as rumors were flying around, the people panicked. However, time continued to pa.s.s.

Jiang Yi had already stayed in Undying Tribe for a month and a half. The envoy, a priest, from Saint Emperor City finally arrived. He was to stay in the tribe for three days. After checking everything, he would then prepare to head back to Saint Emperor City.

“Did you get the spot?”

When Chui Ye came back to report back to Jiang Yi, Jiang Yi got to his feet in excitement. As long as he could enter Saint Emperor City, he would be able to blend in and stay there. Then, he would gather more information and look for the Buddha Thearch and company. He had to ascertain if they were dead or alive.

If the Buddha Thearch and company were dead, Jiang Yi would think of a way to teleport out of here without any hesitation. Thus, no matter what, he had to make a trip to Saint Emperor City. Chui Ye had been selected by the Chieftain of the Undying Tribe to be a team leader. When the time came, he would lead a team of a hundred Brave Warriors to protect the priest on the journey back. Jiang Yi could tag along easily.

After the priest arrived in Undying Tribe, he remained in the Chieftain’s fort. Jiang Yi did not dare to leave his own fort for fear that he would miss any updates. In this one month, he drank the bone soup every single day. His strength had increased by more than five times, and so had his speed. If he tried hard enough, he believed he would be able to keep up with Chui Ye and the others. However, he remained unsure about his defense powers because he had not yet gotten the chance to try them out.

“Lord, we can set off.”

Three days later, Chui Ye pulled aside the curtain of Jiang Yi’s fort and entered. Jiang Yi got to his feet and followed Chui Ye out. He rode on his own battle tiger, following closely behind Chui Ye. There were a total of a hundred people going on the journey this time. Among them, Mei Ru already had control of more than ten people.

“Go!”

Chui Ye waved his wooden spear as he shouted at the hundred people to head toward the big gate in the south. Once they left the tribe, Jiang Yi realized that close to a thousand people were already waiting outside. They were each mounted on a battle tiger, looking formidable and unfazed.

Under Chui Ye’s lead, the hundred people got into formation and waited. Jiang Yi looked young and was obviously not as strong as the others. Thus, he attracted the attention of several people. Thankfully, however, none of them asked any questions. There were young people in the other formations as well. It was normal for the younger generation of the various clans to gain some experience.

Jiang Yi followed behind Chui Ye in silence. He waited curiously. The priest was an envoy from Saint Emperor City. He was probably of higher status than even the Chieftain of the Undying Tribe. His powers must be quite frightening, right?

Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!

Five minutes later, they saw a group of battle tigers. It was obvious they were being sent to make a pa.s.sageway. Jiang Yi immediately tried to look between the soldiers in front of him. A few seconds later, he caught sight of a fiery red liger. There was a man seated atop the liger, who was surrounded by a group of other savages. He was probably the priest.

“Uh?”

The moment Jiang Yi saw the priest, he jumped. He immediately hid behind Chui Ye, facing down, not daring to look. The priest was a woman. She was a beautiful, young woman dressed in a white dress!

This Death G.o.d Continent was so behind in times. They did not even have metal equipment and furniture, nor did they have fancy decorations. All the people were dressed in beast skin. Even Chui Li, one of Chui Ye’s Clan Head’s daughters, was dressed in beast’s skin. Yet, this priestess was dressed in such an exquisite, long dress?

What surprised Jiang Yi most was this woman’s skin color!

All the people in the tribe had yellowish skin that was tanned to the point of looking bronze. Yet, this priestess’ skin looked white as snow and smooth as jade as well. She looked just like a prestigious young lady from the great family clans of the East Imperial Continent.

This was so extraordinary and weird!

Thus, the moment Jiang Yi saw her, he guessed that there was a big problem. He thought about the mastermind, who gave the Buddha Thearch’s weapons to the Zi Clan. This woman in the white dress was probably highly honored. She was very likely one of the mastermind’s subordinates.

“How troublesome…”

Jiang Yi was not in the least bit happy even though he guessed who this person was. Instead, his heart felt heavy. The priestess was an envoy of Saint Emperor City. This meant that she had a high position in the city. This also meant that the Saint Emperor was likely the mastermind.

“Go!”

The priestess’ team finally set off. The tribe’s team followed behind. The guards split up. Chui Ye called out to Jiang Yi, breaking his reverie. They looked in front and could faintly see the back of the woman mounted on the huge liger. He had no choice but to follow in silence. As he walked, he tried to think of a plan.

There was a long way to go to Saint Emperor City. It would take at least two weeks for them to reach Saint Emperor City from where they were. The entire group was not moving very quickly either. Chui Ye’s team was right behind. They were in charge of keeping an eye on the situation five kilometers behind the priestess. They were to guard her against any surprise attacks.

The Undying Tribe sent more than a thousand Brave Warrior and more than ten Fierce Warriors. This priestess had two hundred other guards around her. There were strong protections all around. Even after a day of following her, Jiang Yi and the others did not find anyone plotting a surprise attack against her.

In just one day, Jiang Yi thought of a lot of things.

At last, he realized that there was no good solution. The priestess’ powers were akin to that of the Chieftain of the tribe according to Chui Ye. She could easily kill thousands of their Brave Warrior. What’s more, there were a thousand Brave Warriors present. Even if Jiang Yi got Chui Ye and the people under his control to spring an attack, they would not even be able to get to the priestess.

Looking at the bigger picture, so what if he managed to capture the priestess? Who knew how many priests there were in Saint Emperor City? If he alerted the Saint Emperor and if he came out to kill him personally, he would surely die.

Who the h.e.l.l is the mastermind? Who has such great power? How can they even control the Death G.o.d’s Dense Sea?

From afar, Jiang Yi gazed at the woman’s back. His gaze turned increasingly cold, and his heart became even more uneasy. He heaved a long sigh and muttered under his breath, “I have to think of a way to control her. If I can get Mei Ru to control her spirit without alerting anyone, then the odds would change!”
