Chapter 1322: I’m Not Married. Are You Happy?
Yan Su was so furious she couldn’t stop shaking.
After seeing Mo Liuxi again, she almost forgot how mean he was and how much they disliked each other. Now that they had broken things off, it was even harder for them to be in the same room together, much less behave civilly toward each other.
At first, she slightly regretted pus.h.i.+ng him into the water.
But now, she didn’t regret it at all.
“Mo Liuxi, we’ve broken up. Why have you been giving me such me a hard time? What’s the point in this?”
“When did I give you a hard time?” Mo Liuxi asked blandly. “Did I trip you? Did I say bad things about you behind your back? This morning, you told everybody you’d already had breakfast so you could avoid meeting the others from the crew, but you didn’t have breakfast. Am I wrong? Tell me, is any of that untrue?”
Yan Su pressed her lips together and said, “Yes, you’re right. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have lied to. Is that okay?”
“Now you admit you were lying.” Mo Liuxi bent over, narrowed his eyes and said, “You and s.h.i.+ Xiang even had a child together. Is it necessary for you two to act as if you haven’t seen each other for a long time? Or doesn’t he know you were pregnant?”
Seeing his aggressiveness, Yan Su raised her head, looked at him straight in the eye, and said, “I told you a long time ago. s.h.i.+ Xiang isn’t the father.”
“And you expect me to believe that? Look how close you two were. You still love each other.” Mo Liuxi wore a grim look. “I’m just curious. Are you married?”
Yan Su’s chest heaved quickly. She felt really uncomfortable. “That’s none of your business, okay!?”
Mo Liuxi chuckled and curved his gorgeous lips in a faint smile and said, “If people found out you weren’t studying in the United States but were hiding somewhere having a baby, what would they think? What would the media say?”
“Are you threatening me?” Yan Su felt so sad. How did things between her and Mo Liuxi ever reach this point?
“Answer my question,” Mo Liuxi demanded. “Are you married?”
“No, I’m not married. There! You happy?” Yan Su was incensed. “You want to laugh at me, don’t you? Yes, I had a baby, but the father doesn’t want to marry me.”
“You’re right. Yan Su, I’m happy to see you like this. You see, you care so much about s.h.i.+ Xiang, but he still doesn’t want to marry you.” Mo Liuxi burst into laughter and sounded like a hyena. “You deserve this,” he sputtered.
After saying that, he walked away supremely satisfied with himself.
Yan Su looked at his back, wanting to kick him.
She took a few deep breaths and told herself that she probably owed it to him in her previous life.
Back in her room, she poured her heart out to Jiaojiao about what happened.
Jiaojiao nearly cried. “There are at least a hundred Chinese reporters in Venice now. I can’t possibly stop this from becoming news. Ms. Xiang will kill me. The sponsor didn’t give you that pretty dress so you could go swimming in a ca.n.a.l.”
“I’ll tell her about it first, so she’s prepared,” said Yan Su with embarra.s.sment.
“Oh, no! No one saw your underpants when you were in the water, right?” Jiaojiao looked at her legs nervously.
“N-no. Mo Liuxi took off his s.h.i.+rt and covered me with it,” Yan Su said shaking her head.
Phew! Jiaojiao sighed with relief. Then she added, “He’s reliable in a crunch. I’ll say that for him.”
“I’m getting changed.” Yan Su turned and went to her closet.
While putting on another outfit, she was lost in thought and distracted for a while. When she went back into the room, Jiaojiao had to remind her that she had her s.h.i.+rt b.u.t.toned up wrong.
