Chapter 914: Su, Come and Try Liuxi’s Noodle
“You both work in music, and he’s currently focusing on his career in China. You’ll see each other sooner or later.” Luosang sighed. “Did he contact you after breaking up?”
“Occasionally.” Yan Su was upset. “I became a singer because of him, but in the end, we went our separate ways. I feel sad when I see him.”
“Don’t you like singing at all?” Luosang asked her. “Don’t you feel happy when your songs are heard from every street and alley?”
Yan Su paused. Luosang was right.
She liked singing, but never thought she’d be living on singing alone. It didn’t feel bad though.
…
They chatted until midnight.
The next morning, the makeup artist arrived at seven for Luosang and Yan Su.
Yan Su’s makeup wasn’t as complicated as the bride’s, so she was done quickly. As she came out of the room, Mo Jin turned to the kitchen and said, “Liuxi, Si is up too. Get her some noodles.”
“Aunty Mo, there’s no need to…” Yan Su gave a start. She didn’t want the noodles that Mo Liuxi made.
“Your Uncle Xu was going to make breakfast, but we found that we don’t have enough red envelopes, so he went shopping for some,” said Mo Jin. “Liuxi’s noodles are great. I am sure that once you tasted them, you’ll want more.”
Yan Su was afraid Mo Liuxi might put poison in her food.
Ten minutes later, Mo Liuxi came out of the kitchen with four bowls of noodles.
Mo Jin fervidly pushed one bowl of noodles to Yan Su and said, “Su, come and try Liuxi’s noodles.”
Under Mo Liuxi’s cold glare, Yan Su took over the noodles, stirred them and then tried some. It tasted good. It was dressed with minced meat; as good as any restaurant.
“It’s good, isn’t it?” Mo Jin looked at her smilingly. “Liuxi could heat food by himself by four-years-old and learned how to cook at six. He also washed my clothes…”
“Mom, can you please focus on the food?” Mo Liuxi interrupted coldly.
Mo Jin rolled her eyes, then moved closer to Yan Su and said, “Su, maybe you can introduce him to some young girls from your department; if you know any. He always stays at home, and it makes me worry…”
Yan Su was eating the noodles. Seeing Mo Liuxi’s face turn darker and darker, she laughed. “Aunty Mo. You don’t need to worry. Liuxi is the most popular boy in our school now. Even Chi Shengxu isn’t as popular as he is. Besides, an adorable girl from the acting department is going after him. She is so nice to him that she often brings him food.”
“Yan Su, stop making up stories.”
Before Mo Liuxi finished his warning, Mo Jin knocked his head with chopsticks and said, “So rude. Call her sister.”
“She’s not my sister,” Mo Liuxi said through clenched teeth.
“She is. She is three years older than you, and she is your biological sister’s best friend,” Mo Jin said to him. “Have you heard what I said?”
“I’m done.” Mo Liuxi stood up and left. He would never call her sister.
“He is short-tempered,” Mo Jin said to Yan Su smilingly. “Su, please don’t mind. Oh. How does that girl look? How old is she?”
“Aunty Mo, I think she’ll be here today. She’s An Lan’s sister,” Yan Su said.
After finis.h.i.+ng the noodles, Yan Su brought her bowl into the kitchen. Suddenly, a frosty voice was heard from behind her, “Who told you to gossip with my Mom?”
Hearing his voice, Yan Su hurriedly turned around. He was moving forward at that moment, and as a result, her bowl b.u.mped into his waist. The soup spilled all over him.
