Chapter 17

In the luxurious world of money and power, human nature was completely exposed; full of all kinds of allures that intoxicated people like poison, making them addicted. A moment of carelessness could easily cause people to become corrupted.

In this materialistic world, only people with a resilient character could keep a sober and calm rationality while enjoying themselves at the same time. Those who were unable to withstand the temptation resembled drug addicts, unable to free themselves.

The corner of Zhong Zhen Dong’s mouth lifted slightly, his expression seemed lazy but his gaze hid a perceptive look. The beautiful, naked women in front of him were trying their best to win his favor by fawning over him; a golden haired beauty poured high grade wine for him, a lovely multiracial beauty ma.s.saged his shoulders, and a Russian beauty ma.s.saged his legs.

Zhong Zhen Dong received their services. They were charming and each of them were a rarity. So long as he desired it, he could immediately push one of them down and enjoy their body. However, his mind was preoccupied with images of another exquisite, beautiful woman.

It was Tang Xin Lian, busy and sweating with her hair tied up, holding tools to fix various things, cooking food for him, and taking care of him while he was sick. After only being away for one week, he was already beginning to miss her.

Not knowing what she’s doing now, he couldn’t help but pick up his cell phone to make an international call to Taiwan.

“h.e.l.lo?”

When the phone call connected, what he heard was a male voice.

Zhong Zhen Dong was stupefied for a second as he lifted his cell phone to check the number. The number was right, but how come the person who answered the phone had an unfamiliar, male voice?

“h.e.l.lo? h.e.l.lo?? Is someone there?” The sound came from the cell phone.

Zhong Zhen Dong was silent for a moment and then courteously responded, “I’m looking for Tang Xin Lian.”

“Sorry, Tang Tang is showering. May I ask who you are?”

Tang Tang? What an intimate form of address, coming from an unfamiliar man’s mouth. It was 8:30 PM in Taiwan and there was a stranger in Tang Xin Lian’s house.

Zhong Zhen Dong’s carefree expression disappeared, replaced with one of caution and harshness, resembling a cheetah when it found people invading its territory.

An unknown male suddenly appeared at the house, calling the woman by a nickname, while the woman was taking a shower and the man answered the phone. This relations.h.i.+p was definitely not normal, and Zhong Zhen Dong’s nerves became sensitive and sharp.

His dangerous eyes narrowed as he said, “I am her husband, who are you?”

The line went silent and after a moment, there was a response.

“Oh, so you are Mr. Zhong, Tang Tang told me about you. She said she hired you to be her fake husband.”

From the other side’s light and laughing tone, Zhong Zhen Dong received another piece of news; Since Tang Xin Lian told this man about their fake marriage, then to a certain degree, this man and Tang Xin Lian were considerably intimate.

A dangerous gleam flashed through his eyes, but his tone was still as stable as before. “Nice to meet you, may I ask who you are?”

“I’m Tang Tang’s senior from college.”

Senior? That was a way to reminisce about the school days, and after entering society, the status of a “senior” was the best excuse to continue a relations.h.i.+p with women. Moreover, appearing in the woman’s house on a Sat.u.r.day night and answering her home phone. All of these evidences ill.u.s.trated that this man came to hunt.

“Can I trouble you to let my son answer the phone?”

“Your son? Oh, you’re talking about Cheng Cheng. Unfortunately my younger sister just took him out to go play.”

The little child was sent off, he definitely wanted to try to get the girl.

After only saying a few words, Zhong Zhen Dong deduced every situation and the mentality of men. Don’t underestimate the few questions he asked; although it sounded common, every question had a purpose, and the manner, time, place, and tone were all clues to his inference. His intelligence wasn’t just for show.

This man was either 27 or 28 years old, had a medium build, and was a white-collar office worker from an ordinary company. He just finished eating dinner with Xin Lian and sent her home. He found an excuse to go upstairs, and used his senior status to get close to her, and due to some reason, she had no choice but to take a shower at this moment.

Zhong Zhen Dong’s eyes became sharper, but his voice was still steady as he said, “Is that so? Then after Xin Lian finishes her shower, tell her to return my call.”

“I heard you went on a business trip out of the country, wouldn’t an international call be too expensive? How about I pa.s.s on what you tell me to Tang Tang?”

This was a kind of way of speaking to another man, to not allow the other to make any decisions.

“No need, I’ll call her again later, thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

Beep! The signal cut off.

Zhong Zhen Dong had a cold expression and emitted an indifferent aura as he stood up. It was about 3:30 PM in Instanbul and his naked, st.u.r.dy body glistened under the sunlight.

(… I can not refrain from commenting … Edward Cullen from Twilight (movie) anyone?)

He left the women that surrounded him, and wrapped a big towel around the lower half of his body.

“Where are you going?” Ge Fu asked.

“I need to borrow your satellite signal.” With that said, Zhong Zhen Dong ignored the beauties and went to the control room.

After Han Lun Yao hung up, Tang Xin Lian also just so happened to come out from the bathroom.
