Isekai With An Ero-RPG System

Chapter 5

After having collected all the bodies, Neo looked for a proper place to send them off. He was hesitating between burying them, and burning them. He wanted them to have a proper grave, but it would take too much time to dig so many graves.

He decided to burn them, but not in the same manner. He put the bandit corpses in a pile, to be burned like trash. For the villagers, he dug small beds in the ground instead of graves, properly aligned, placed a magical fire array at the bottom, all linked to an external trigger, and filled them with flammable materials. It took him the following day to do it. On the third day since his rebirth, he placed a body on top of each bed, arms crossed on their chest. Once the preparations were completed, he activated the arrays.

His max level in alchemy included enchanting, and part of the enchanting process used runes and runic arrays. The arrays placed at the bottoms of the beds produced a high amount of heat, which instantly put the whole beds on fire, and would keep the heat high. This way, each of the villagers got their own funeral pyre.

He ignored the smell of burning flesh, and after paying his respect, burned the pile of bandit corpses. He went to sleep with both his body and mind tired from the activities of the day.

The following 3 days were spent in peace. He took 2 hours to make the smithy more homely. He used his automatic broom to clean the place, and replaced the old furnitures with some of his Kamidori items, such as the splendid bed and the crafting tools. The building had become his temporary base.

From the scavenging he did, he aquired books, a few notebooks, and a few usable maps. The language was of course foreign to him, but some of the letters were quite similar to those of the latin and greek alphabets. He was thus able to recognise some words, but he couldn"t be sure their meaning was the same as in his old world.

From what he could tell, he was in a country called Rojanor, with 4 main cities aside from the capital, Danar. It was surrounded by 4 others countries he though were named Heizenburg, Caprinor, Omegan and Falirean. He didn"t know how big those countries were, and no other informations about the continent and the rest of the world, but most of its frontier was with Heizenburg and Omegan.

The village was in a wild region near the common border with Caprinor, Omegan and Falirean. The closest town went further inside the country, and away from Caprinor and Falirean, and one of the major city was near the border with Omegan. He wanted to know more about the culture of the country, he was unerved by the fact that all attackers were humans and the defenders were non-humans.

He didn"t know if the country was led by humans, or non-humans. If one of the group was from a racial majority in the country, or immigrant/refugees from another country. His Isekai Novels Reading Experience told him that the non-humans were discriminated. At least in the area of the world he was in.

"At least, I"m not likely to have visit within the next 2 days. I don"t think this world, at least this country, has any fast means of communication or travel. What I"ve found so far in the rest of the village doesn"t hint to it. If there is, then it must be limited to major settlements."

Aside from trying to get informations from the various left-over items, he worked on his hammer skills and making his travelling gear.

He made a 2 persons tent. Waterproof, blade resistant, enchanted to be fire and ice resistant, with sight, sound and smell dampening. He made a dark grey traveling hooded cloak with the same characteristics. He made himself a leather armor reinforced with metallic wires and plates. With his CADD desk, clothes enhancing products, automatic sewer, special stones and crafting mastery, it was quite easy to make.

As for his combat skills, he didn"t know much about fighting with a hammer. He knew that hammers bruised flesh and broke bones, and that it was effective agains armors and sh.e.l.ls. But he didn"t know any techniques to use it. He settled for performing basic moves repeatedly: vertical upward swing, vertical downward swing, diagonal upward swing, diagonal downward swing, horizontal swing, horizontal backswing, straight strike. The second day he increased the difficulty by placing a hastly made target at various distances and heights within his reach. Like that, he increased his Hammer mastery to level 3.

He had a weapon that he can use with basic proficiency, some good protective gear and some traveling equipment. All that was left was a loyal traveling companion to protect him. He lied on his bed, thinking about what to do.

"I had though of making homunculus, but that would require some research, and there is something else I could use earlier. In Kamidori, Will was able to summon a spirit, Aht, to do just that. I have the magical knowledge to do the same. I already know that Kamidori"s magic works here with the funeral pyres and the gear I enchanted, so I shouldn"t have any problem. I also need a good catalysis for that."

It has been a week since Neo"s arrival in that new world. When he decided to summon a spirit, he had to think about what kind of role it would have. It could be a tank, an attacker, a a.s.sa.s.sin, a ranger, a nuker or a support. Or a combination of 2 of them. There was also the amount of mana necessary for the summon to take into account.

He took the rest of the day to make the first part of his preparations, and make some adjustment to the ritual. The second part of his preparations would have to be made the following day. And the day after, he would proceed to summon his first underling.
