Chapter 659: Hunting in the Deep Ocean

Chapter 659: Hunting in the Deep Ocean

Of course, Qin Feng did not want to waste time to retrieve these corpses. It was just throwing away 100 power credits. It was no biggie.

“Full speed ahead!”

Qin Feng did not bother to answer He Jia—because she already got her answer after seeing that Deep-sea Feng Li was able to activate its accelerator with no problems. In under a minute, the vessel had formed a layer of bubble around it before speeding forward.

Splash~!!

After a few rounds of attacks, Deep-sea Feng Li was able to breach through several areas, killing waves after waves of ultra beasts. Everywhere it went, the ultra beast hordes had all been cleaned up to lesser numbers.

The other deep-sea vessels, on the other hand, had activated their cloaking device to avoid the fishes and ultra beasts on their way to the Abyssal Ocean.

“Our vessel has a different kind of coating. So, what do we do now? Do we still kill our way into the Abyssal Ocean like earlier?”

“If we do that, it’s going to be too wasteful!”

“Yeah!”

The gunners knew that Deep-sea Feng Li was different—its power was on a whole different level compared to others. However, killing everything that came their way just to reach their destination would be a lot of work.

Suddenly, the silver coating changed its color into deep blue—the same color as the deep blue ocean.

It felt as though the vessel had merged together with the ocean itself!

“What? What’s this?”

“Look! The ultra beasts don’t seem to notice us at all!”

“How could this be? Sir, I don’t understand…”

The gunners were dumbfounded at their situation at hand.

Qin Feng felt that he owed them an explanation. “This is a water-type coating. It has water-type runes fused in it and disguised as the ocean water. Not only that, it would send some forceful tides across the seabed, influencing the ultra beasts to stay clear of our path.”

This was just the natural technological evolution that Qin Feng remembered from the time before he was reborn. In the later days when he was an A-tier back then, most deep-sea vessels had already forgone dark-type coating and had adapted to using water-type coating.

Doing this not only made it easier for the vessels to travel under the sea but also increased their travelling speed.

After giving them the explanation, Qin Feng raised the speed again.

Due to every single vessel in the ocean here that was from the Human Alliance and also how dangerous the place was, everyone had the best scanner installed on their vessels—so that they could locate and rescue their allies when they were in danger. Still, despite how advanced their scanners were, the furthest that they could scan was just around twenty km away.

Thus, when Qin Feng raised his speed, the other vessels behind too were able to detect it. And to their surprise, Deep-sea Feng Li was moving at an insane speed!

“Is Qin Feng trying to show off his speed?”

“Heh, maybe. Maybe he’s just pus.h.i.+ng his engine’s limit. This would eat up a lot of energy from his tank!”

“Well, if he wants a race, it’s fine by me!”

The B-tiers too increased their vessels’ speed.

Yet, their vessels’ speed was no match to Deep-sea Feng Li. The thing was too fast! No matter how much they accelerated, Deep-sea Feng Li was still always moving in front. A moment later, it had zoomed twenty km away from them, resulting in them losing sight of it!

These people were speechless when they saw this. Their machines were not able to handle this speed for a long time and were ringing warnings for energy conservation. Thus, they all slowed down.

After all, moving at this speed was usually done when they were trying to escape from powerful ultra beasts. Not only that, if they kept on going at this speed, it would cost them their whole wallet when they got back.

There was only one man who knew where Qin Feng was heading to—Bai Wei.

“Sure, the Ocean Phantom is powerful… but it isn’t this powerful. Has this thing really been remodeled by him?” Bai Wei’s eyes lit up as he urged his men to keep up the pace.

“Remember to stay cloaked! I don’t want them to know that we’re following them!”

“Yes, Sir!”

It was quite normal for a vessel to remain cloaked even when there were other humans around because there were people other than the ones from the Human Alliance at sea too. Travelling openly without any stealth would expose them to potential predators from the Dark Coalition. And when they were detected by these human filths, there was very little chance of surviving.

To die in the depths of the ocean was one of the worse because it was close to impossible for anyone to be able to locate your bodies in the sea.

Qin Feng’s Deep-sea Feng Li spent three hours to finally arrive at the Abyssal Ocean.

The place was pitch black. They could see nothing but a huge veil of nothingness.

Yet, this was enough to make everyone in the vessel feeling unnerved.

They could not know just how huge the ultra beast that was going to show up was. They could not know where they would attack from.

There was just too much uncertainty.

Some of the D-tier ultra beasts here seemed to emit a presence that was much stronger than the ones on land.

Sun Tianyuan finally could not hold it in anymore.

He knew where he was going. He knew how dangerous it was. If he did not do anything, it would not just be Qin Feng that died… he could die too!

Thus, Sun Tianyuan asked in a shaky voice, “Boss… I’ve been to this area before. This… this place… it has some really fearsome sea beasts. Perhaps we should head to some other place… somewhere much safer than this?”

Qin Feng took a glance at the man and saw that he was not lying.

The guy was scared stiff.

Qin Feng’s conscious energy was very keen. As such, he knew that Sun Tianyuan was Bai Wei’s underling. He did not mind him coming along because he believed Sun Tianyuan would not dare to do anything to sabotage this trip.

Still, he did not expect him to be such a coward.

“What kind of sea beasts are they?”

“They’re… De… Devil Sharks!”

Everyone in the vessel cried out in surprise!

The Devil Sharks were C8-tier! Each one of these was beast general cla.s.s.

Even the B-tiers dared not to touch these things. The reason being that these sharks tended to hunt together in a pack. When they detect blood, they would go into a berserk, escalating their attacks!

One mere deep-sea vessel was not enough to handle a whole pack of Devil Sharks.

Yet, this seemed to have piqued Qin Feng’s interest. “Devil Sharks, you say? Oh, this is great. We could harvest their beast general crystal cores and earn big money from this!”

The creatures in the Abyssal Ocean were all enormous. Their flesh and blood were worth a lot of money; but in order to take these back to port, one would need equipment that had pocket dimensions.

Qin Feng did not bring Bai Li with him this time but he did bring some dimensional rune equipment. Still, he was worried that this was not enough to bring all the loot back!

However, if it was Devil Sharks’ cores… these would make it easier for him.

After seeing that Qin Feng seemed to be underestimating the sharks, the gunners started to get worried.

It was then…

Beep Beep Beep!!

The scanner started to beep out loud. It was an alarm for detecting strong presence!

The gunners quickly focused all their conscious energy to scan the area.

He Jia was terrified to say the least as she stared at the monitor.

And there it was. They saw it! An enormous silhouette flashed before their eyes!

“It’s them!”

“The Devil Sharks!”

“They’re here! They’re really here!”

“What should we do?!”

They could see just how enormous the Devil Shark was just by looking at the huge black dot on the monitor.

This thing was eight meters in length.

Although Deep-sea Feng Li was two hundred meters long and much bigger than the shark, they knew they were not facing just one of these things. There were a dozen more behind this one shark!

This felt as though a little, juicy lamb had fallen into a wolves’ den!

Yet, Qin Feng was calm.

“What should we do? We attack it, of course!”

In a pinch of conscious energy, Qin Feng had pulled the trigger!
