Chapter 1563: A Crowd Of Sorrowful Men

After killing Mortal’s Path, w.a.n.g Yu made use of the momentum to burst forward while Tulip and the others’ attack landed in front of w.a.n.g Yu.

Besides Mountain Chief, Hidden Ghost and the two others who died, the remaining six of them were all long-range players.

Three Archers and three Magicians.

Archers had a long range and the speed of their arrows was fast. In order to finish off w.a.n.g Yu with one arrow, all three of them used [Ambush Kill] which was the fastest and most powerful skill.

“Swis.h.!.+”

The sound of arrows piercing through the air could be heard as the arrows arrived in front of w.a.n.g Yu.

Players were never as mobile when they were in mid-air and w.a.n.g Yu was no exception. Even if w.a.n.g Yu could fly, his agility and flexibility could never be compared to when he was on the ground.

Before the incoming arrows, w.a.n.g Yu did not attempt to dodge as he squinted his eyes before clapping his hands.

“Pah!”

A clear sound could be heard as the three arrows were trapped between w.a.n.g Yu’s palms. One of the arrows was golden in colour and that was clearly Tulip’s Golden Arrow.

“Tsk!!”

Upon witnessing how their [Ambush Kill] arrows were received by w.a.n.g Yu, the three of them couldn’t help but take in a deep breath of cold air.

In a game, everyone would usually be more confident in themselves. Earlier when w.a.n.g Yu killed Horizon and Mortal’s Path, they could still use w.a.n.g Yu’s superior equipment as an excuse. Now that w.a.n.g Yu managed to catch their [Ambush Kill] arrows from such a short distance away, nothing made sense anymore.

While Tulip and the two others were in shock, w.a.n.g Yu casually threw the three arrows in his left hand.

“Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!”

The three arrows struck accurately on the incoming icicles.

Even though [Icicle] was a low-level skill, it only took 0.5 seconds to condense. Moreover, it possessed incredible speed and the speed reduction effect was as high as 80%. Therefore, it was always the favourite starting move of Magicians.

However, this plaything would explode the moment it touched something. Even though the arrows in w.a.n.g Yu’s hand wouldn’t have dealt any damage or judgement, they were still more than capable of disrupting the icicles and turning them into blue mist.

In the blink of an eye, all six of their skills were completely disrupted by w.a.n.g Yu.

“You can even do things like this?”

Tulip and her men were in shock and before they could retreat, w.a.n.g Yu had already descended in front of them.

After landing, w.a.n.g Yu immediately took one step to the right. At this moment, the air was slightly distorted as Hidden Ghost appeared with a dagger.

“Pah!”

Concurrently, w.a.n.g Yu’s left hand extended abruptly and struck firmly on Hidden Ghost’s neck.

Hidden Ghost did not even manage to grunt as he was instantly turned into white light by w.a.n.g Yu.

When everyone saw that, they were beyond shocked.

Comparatively, players in a game like that were not that afraid of death.

But looking at how ruthless w.a.n.g Yu was, Tulip and the rest started to feel the s.h.i.+vers down their spine.

In just a few seconds, the ten-man squad was only left with seven of them. It didn’t matter whether the opponent was a tank, a.s.sa.s.sin or Magician as they were all killed within one move. This was simply unheard of.

Presently, the only frontline player was Mountain Chief but after he was knocked to the ground by w.a.n.g Yu, he certainly did not intend to get up again. It seemed highly likely that he was wasted so with all the long-range players left against this ruthless close combat master, the outcome was clear.

Both casting a spell and placing an arrow on the bow required time but once a close-combat player came near you, there was simply nothing else to do except to run away.

Everyone had personally witnessed the speed at which w.a.n.g Yu moved. Even if Tulip and her men were agile Archers, there was no way they could outrun w.a.n.g Yu without having all their points in agility.

In the face of an opponent like that, everyone could only await death.

“Swish swish swish swis.h.!.+”

Just when everyone thought that they were about to be killed by w.a.n.g Yu, air-piercing sounds could be heard from the back.

A row of arrows flew from the back of Tulip and her men, past their ears and towards w.a.n.g Yu.

w.a.n.g Yu had detected this as he executed consecutive [Flash] to get away from Tulip and his men. This allowed Tulip and her men to retrieve their lives.

Tulip quickly turned her head to see over ten familiar-looking players standing behind him.

The person standing in front was muscular as he held onto a ma.s.sive s.h.i.+eld. The others were also staring solemnly at w.a.n.g Yu with their weapons in front of them.

“Blossoming Moon? Why are you here?”

Tulip saw that muscular man with a huge s.h.i.+eld as he asked out of surprise.

“If I’m not here, wouldn’t you be dead by now?” Blossoming Moon smiled, “Alright, you must count your blessing since you didn’t die. Now get out of here and let me deal with this person.”

“You guys?” Tulip sneered coldly, “I know that you, the mighty Blossoming Moon, are a professional expert but just the few of you are not going to be enough to capture him. Why don’t we help you guys?”

Anyone capable of becoming a leader wouldn’t be dumb.

Tulip knew how impressive w.a.n.g Yu was but since they lived in the same city, he knew about Blossoming Moon’s reputation. With a professional squad around, Tulip naturally felt more confident than before.

However, Blossoming Moon had no intentions to work together with Tulip and even wanted her to leave the scene. But why would Tulip give up on an opportunity like this? After all, the rules of the game state that the BOSS shall belong to whoever spots it first.

“There is no need!” Blossoming Moon chuckled, “We have more than enough men with us.”

Right after Blossoming Moon said that, players from all four directions appeared surrounding w.a.n.g Yu firmly.

“Boss Blossoming, do you have to go overboard like that?”

Looking at the number of players here, Tulip furrowed her brows so hard. Just what was Blossoming Moon thinking when he chose to bring so many players just to deal with one player?

“Nah!”

Blossoming Moon smiled, “Preparedness averts peril. With a little more men, we will not need your help anymore.”

“Tsk!”

Tulip grunted coldly when she heard what Blossoming Moon said.

At this point, Blossoming Moon clasped his fist and said, “Brother Iron Bull, long time no see!”

“?”

w.a.n.g Yu was extremely confused when he saw Blossoming Moon clasping his fists towards him.

Golden Sun Blossom helped to translate but in the end, w.a.n.g Yu’s reply almost caused Blossoming Moon to die from embarra.s.sment.

“Who are you guys? Why do you look so familiar?” w.a.n.g Yu asked.

“I…”

Blossoming Moon’s body was trembling, “We just met at Dragon Island?”

This was the ultimate meaning of sorrow. What was that? Sorrow is when someone kills you and still doesn’t know you…

Evidently, Blossoming Moon and his men were a crowd of sorrowful men. They had just been slaughtered by w.a.n.g Yu not too long ago yet he didn’t even recognise them.

“Oh, it’s you guys!”

w.a.n.g Yu suddenly remembered them when he heard Blossoming Moon’s words. He smiled as he looked around, “You brought so many men to welcome me here at Starry Sky City? Aren’t you being a little too polite?”
