Chapter 2634: Donations II

Chapter 2634: Donations II

I spent little more than an hour with my family till it was time to drop rose at school, which my parents did, while I walked toward the project.

Buzz!

"You would not believe the s.h.i.+t that had happened since we posted that video eight hours ago," Mary said; I kind of regret being a little friendly with as now, as now she did not have to be polite to me; I couldn"t help but pity the old man standing behind her.

Mary is a peak Master, and since she had become the official spokesperson of the project and the incidents happening around, the council had given her the bodyguard, a Grandmaster. Whom she had turned into her a.s.sistant.

He may be a bodyguard, but he is mostly to intimidate others; like my family, Mary also had the cover, and she had it for decades. Her teacher is the best alchemist of humans, and when she says to provide cover for her student, the Pyramid listens.

"Are we getting trolled heavily; you should have turned off comments as I had asked you to," I said to her. The reaction to the project is too intense, and with it comes trolling; most of all known people of the project have turned off the comments on their account, including me.

"No, not comments; though I have turned them off ten minutes after posting the video," she said, waving her hand, "I am talking about this," she said, pointing to a couple of video streams and screen; feeling curious, I appeared beside her and looked what is trying to show me.

A couple of seconds later, my expression changed, and my eyes went wide with shock or something beyond that.

"f.u.c.k!"

I cursed, looking at the number and video footage, and while I watching, another screen popped up. "Warehouse 1064," Mary said as a new screen popped in.

I took a deep breath and decided to take it all in calmly.

The donation campaign is not new; there are hundreds of them going on, belonging to Pyramid and various organizations for war efforts.

It was mary"s idea, and she had suggested it a week ago after our frustration with the donor gala. I was a little uncomfortable with the idea; I wanted the working of the project as secret as possible and not to mention donations open it to other dangers.

I sat on the idea for days, and the frustration grew each day as member organizations kept screaming quota for resource, the quota for resources.

Yesterday night, I officially made mary the spokesperson for the projects and started the donor campaign. I did not have much high hope, considering the number of donor campaigns there are and how much the donations are receiving.

I was only hoping that within six months, I would get about a month of resources, adding that with the resources we have collected from the organizations, we wouldn"t be able to worry about the resources for three months, but it seemed like I could safely a.s.sume that I already collected the resources for a month within a day and isn"t over it.

"How are the sorting and the logistic," I asked.

We had not prepared but not for such a scale, and since we are receiving such benefits, I want everything to go smoothly as possible.

"I had sent more scholars to sort and grade resources and asked the Pyramid to keep the three thousand warehouses on standby." She said. "Over 95% of these resources have come from those staying at Pyramid; while we have received huge donations from outside, it will take some time."

"I am working on a clear logistical line right now; I want everything we received from every corner of the world to be at warehouses within six hours of receiving," she added. "Do that," I said.

I know logistics can be a nightmare; it is already a wonder she had achieved such things at this speed. It seemed like I had far underestimated her abilities.

Buzz!

"Give me the list of resources we got," I said; she swiped on the screen, and a sync file appeared on my holowatch; every second, a new resource or its units would add to the list as scholars sort and categorized them.

I looked at the list, and it is long, filled with the name of tens of thousands of resources. I am happy to see the scholars are doing their job well; the resources are well categorized in level and types. The plants, crystals and ores, and others are written down systematically.

My eyes lit up brighter and brighter as I looked at the list; there are not only a huge amount of resources, but many of them are high leveled, reaching Grandmaster and High Grandmaster cla.s.ses.

"Ask the council for more scholars and create a triple-checking mechanism, send our few our alchemists to warehouses to keep an eye on things, and send the unknown things, the methods to me; I will look at them myself," I said, surprising her little.

It is not resources we are accepting; we are accepting everything from artifacts to practice methods to formulas of alchemy and others; before uploading the video, we have created a site where we uploaded our requirements, which is nearly everything.

We could not use everything that came to use; less than 5% will be useful to us. We will sell them or exchange them for the things we meet. A huge war is happening, and there is a market for everything; we could sell or exchange things within a day.

"We have gotten good responses and some results from the emails we have sent," said Mary, "The Grandmasters have said they will talk to their organization about the resources, and some even sent the resources belonging to the organizations," she said and hearing that a smile couldn"t help but appear on my face.

The donation of supremes could be better, but it could be barely satisfactory; it is a lower organization that disappointed us and which I don"t like.

The project did not ask for resources from its members, while we took them graciously if they offered on their own, as we are always in dire need of them.

This time, we had expected a lot of help from the organizations, but they disappointed us by giving us just a token. So, we have sent the mails to all the Grandmasters we have produced, aside from those belonging to supremes, and as expected, the response is very good.

Even in supremes, the Grandmasters are very rare, while most organizations below supremes did not even have a Grandmasters.

So, when one becomes a Grandmaster, their clout increases instantly; they directly become lords of their organization. While every organization has a council, this world is built on power, and the Grandmaster has that power, and power gives them the support of the ma.s.ses.

More than ten Grandmasters have already sent loads of resources and thrice the number of the pledge; while some could not be contacted, I am sure we will get support from them.

Let those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds at organizations play their little politics; I will just make their members Grandmasters and will get the resources that they aren"t willing to give.
