Ms. Doctor Divine

Chapter 889: Troublesome

Chapter 889: Troublesome

Sword One dashed off directly when hearing the order. She was worried too, but she had no idea what she should do with Elder Miss looking like that. So she got down to doing this work subconsciously.

Hearing that a doctor was fetched, Gu Chaoyan frowned. She was reminded of what Mr. Zhao said to her. “You are a woman without a pulse. Don’t let any other doctor check you up. Not every doctor has morals.”

She was about to stop this from happening, however, Sword One already went to get the doctor.

Gu Chaoyan had to stop herself instead.

She was feeling very unwell right now, probably seasick. It was not a big deal, but the process could cause misery. She believed that it would just take a few days before she fully recovered, just a few days. Therefore, she was not that anxious.

She had thought about what to do the night before, and she even tried some magical water and made some medicine for herself, but nothing worked.

She found the whole thing ridiculous. She could make medicine that saved the dying, but she could not cure herself from sea-sickness. Gu Chaoyan just could not take care of herself well.

She had puked for a long time when she woke up, but since she had a little to eat, she did not even have anything to puke. It made her so dizzy.

Zhou Huaiyu came to her when he heard the news, the moment he woke up.

He came with the doctor.

Zhou Huaijin pulled the doctor to his side and said, “Check up on her, please.”

The doctor was startled and s.h.i.+vered.

He went up to feel her pulse, but Gu Chaoyan refused to show him her hand.

“Please, Miss, I need to see your pulse,” the doctor said,

Gu Chaoyan was still not willing to show her hands. She shook her head and said, “I am fine, just prescribe some medicine for me, that will be enough.”

“Well…” The doctor had an embarra.s.sed expression on his face.

He had to feel the pulse first before knowing what he could do. How would he prescribe medicine without checking her pulse first.

He turned to Zhou Huaijin for help.

He could not force Chaoyan to get her pulse checked, so he said, “Then you can just prescribe the medicine.”

The doctor wiped away the sweat from his forehead.

What was going on? How could he prescribe medicine without checking the patient?

However, instead of saying anything more, he went to prescribe medicine, feeling regretful. He should not have joined the crew just because he had been offered a lot of money.

Zhou Huaiyu looked at Gu Chaoyan in helplessness and anxiety – what a spoiled woman! She did not even want to get her pulse checked! What was wrong with her!

However, he could not do anything about it -she was his Eighth Brother’s Princess Consort so he could not possibly blame her for anything. Yet he felt very uncomfortable staying here. So he snapped. “I will tell the kitchen to prepare some mild-tasted food.”

Zhou Huaijin nodded and added. “Find the nearest bank. We are giving up traveling by boat, since it is making Chaoyan unwell.”

Zhou Huaiyu agreed. He nodded and pa.s.sed on the message to the boatman.

He left the room with Wuhen and complained anxiously, when they were outside. “This woman is so troublesome. She doesn’t want to have her pulse checked! But she doesn’t look like some traditional and old-fas.h.i.+oned person either!”
