Chapter 67: Spiritual Energy Level Rises Again
The changes in China significantly increased the pressure on w.a.n.g Hu.
When China obstinately did things their way and insisted on officially granting cultivators special privileges, the humans in the rest of the world were the first to feel the great impact the move brought.
They continuously argued and kicked up huge fusses in the open while various undercurrents surged fiercely in the shadows.
Regardless, however, the cultivation trend in the whole world had indeed more or less become stronger, and it was also intensifying further and further.
The humans’ affairs were out of w.a.n.g Hu’s hands, and neither did he want to bother himself with it. He merely watched quietly from the sidelines lest it affected his family.
Three months later…
w.a.n.g Hu, who now stood at a shoulder height of roughly 7.8 meters and measured a body length of roughly 13.7 meters, entered the dinosaur world once more.
He came out with four fearful tigers behind him. Their shoulder heights had all reached three meters tall.
The four were Old Second, Old Third, and two of the ten tigers from back then. All four of them had reached peak-level Mortal Realm.
Among them, Old Third and one of the two tigers had reached their current level over two months ago, whereas Old Second and the fourth tiger were a little slower.
If one wished to break through after reaching peak-level Mortal Realm, doing it on Earth was ultimately still a little easier.
After a moment’s thought, he communicated a simplified idea of breakthroughs and Blood Qi to them via telepathy, and then he got them to disperse into the mountains in the north.
They could only count on themselves to break through to the Transformation Realm now.
When they successfully broke through, gained human intelligence, and thought back to all of his actions; they would naturally realize his intention to groom them so they would then obediently return to ask for the Transformation Realm’s cultivation method.
When that happened, he would truly have his own subordinates and become a bona fide Tiger King.
Unlike Su Ling—that cowardly tool of a fox, these were real subordinates. Su Ling could only be considered a servant at best.
He would probably need to wait for another one to two years at the minimum before this would happen though. Breaking through to the Transformation Realm wasn’t that easy, not to mention that not everyone was like him and could successfully break through in one night.
Apart from Silly Girl and himself, as of this time, w.a.n.g Hu could almost be sure that—apart from the humans—those from other animal species that had broken through to the Transformation Realm were all ent.i.ties that had awakened their bloodlines.
Until the potential in their bloodline reached its limit, they had no such thing as a bottleneck. They needed only to cultivate and grow up. Breaking through to the Transformation Realm was naturally not something difficult for them.
On the other hand, no one among Old Second, Old Third, and the others had awakened their bloodline.
To be honest, by this time, w.a.n.g Hu actually wished he could see tigers with awakened bloodlines in the clan. It wasn’t really anything positive if the gap between them became too big.
However, as of now, no one among the several hundred tigers that he’d seen had awakened their bloodline yet.
The current state didn’t completely represent how things would be in the future, however. Silly Girl had once unwittingly mentioned that every breakthrough to a major cultivation realm was a metamorphosis process. No one knew whether an individual would awaken their bloodline during the process or not.
w.a.n.g Hu went back home after he got all these done.
Everything was as always. Big Treasure and Little Treasure were watching cartoons while Silly Girl, as well as Su Ling the tool-fox, were cultivating.
Three months had given Silly Girl a shoulder height of roughly 7.7 meters and a body length of roughly 13.5 meters.
Su Ling the tool-fox’s shoulder height had also increased by 40-odd centimeters. This was undoubtedly a very fast cultivation speed.
One would know just by looking at her occasional t.i.ttering and secretly delighted expression.
For now, the dinosaur meat was what was helping her the most.
Even if she wasn’t cultivating at the same duration as before, her progress had actually significantly improved.
“Baijun, I’ve released Old Second, Old Third, and the others from the dinosaur world. There are a total of four of them. Three more tigers can also be released in another four months,” said w.a.n.g Hu in Tiger Language as he walked over to Silly Girl.
During the last three-odd months—ever since Silly Girl imparted Tiger Language to him, she had preferred to speak in Tiger Language whenever she talked to him.
He could roughly hazard a guess at the reason for this—she didn’t want Su Ling to know what they were talking about—so w.a.n.g Hu decided to fulfill her wishes.
Di Baijun didn’t pause in her cultivation. In fact, as if she hadn’t heard him at all, she didn’t even move. Only an exceedingly soft grunt of acknowledgment could be heard coming from her nose.
w.a.n.g Hu had long since gotten used to this. As though he was talking to himself, he walked over and said, “Baijun, who among them do you think can reach the Transformation Realm the fastest? And how long will it take?”
Di Baijun, who was in the midst of cultivating, couldn’t help but become resigned, and she rolled her eyes disdainfully at the jerk.
He was always doing that. If he wanted to talk to her, he would simply do it no matter the occasion. Even if she ignored him, he would still prattle on and on by himself next to her, unbothered by her aloofness in the least.
She chastised him huffily, “Step aside.”
“Okay,” replied w.a.n.g Hu right away, upon which he walked from one side of Silly Girl to the other.
Di Baijun’s breathing paused for a moment, and she immediately glared at him. Hmph!
w.a.n.g Hu chuckled softly and said, “I’ve already gone to the side, Baijun.”
“Get lost,” barked a huffy Di Baijun.
“Su Ling, Big Treasure, and Little Treasure are here. I’ll roll about[1] for you again when they aren’t here,” replied a cheeky w.a.n.g Hu.
Di Baijun subconsciously cast a glance at Su Ling, Big Treasure, and Little Treasure again before she glared fiercely at him.
That jerk—rascal! He’s becoming more and more shameless.
Unfortunately, that white fox was here, as were Big Treasure and Little Treasure. Unable to smack him with her paw, there was really nothing else she could do.
“Hmph, two to three years at the earliest, I guess.”
Resigned, she could only resentfully reply to that rascal-jerk’s question.
w.a.n.g Hu secretly laughed at her response. He also felt that his level of shamelessness had greatly improved during the last three months.
Of course, this was also because he had discovered something—Silly Girl never outright got into huge disputes with him whenever Su Ling was around. Thus, he naturally pushed his luck.
One could tell that, from this aspect alone, the tool-fox was indeed very useful.
“Two to three years?” w.a.n.g Hu frowned. “Isn’t that a little slow?”
He clearly remembered that Silly Girl’s evaluation of the amount of time he would need to break through had been about a year back then.
A slightly impatient Di Baijun replied, “Hmph, you want it to be faster? Sure, just wait until the spiritual energy density level reaches a level that can support the Divine Body Realm.”
w.a.n.g Hu shut up. As expected, not everyone was like him.
Ah, well, if two to three years were how long they needed, then so be it. Speaking of which, the maximum duration of four years meant that they still had slightly over two years. Perhaps a few tigers would have broken through by then.
As he pondered about this, he couldn’t help but ask the question that he had been holding back for a very long time. He asked, “Baijun, how big do you think my size has to be before I can be considered peak-level Transformation Realm? There are still slightly over two years before it reaches the maximum duration of four years that you mentioned. I wonder if I can get there by then.”
Di Baijun replied coldly, “You’ll reach the peak level of Transformation Realm when you grow ten meters tall.”
Then, she turned away and continued to cultivate.
Joy came over w.a.n.g Hu. He finally knew what peak-level Transformation Realm was like. As long as he knew what the goal to work towards was, he would feel a lot more relaxed and resolute when advancing toward it.
A height of ten meters… in other words, a shoulder height of ten meters.
At his current cultivation speed, a period of slightly over two years probably wasn’t going to be enough.
After all, in cultivation, the further into it one reached, the harder and slower it would become.
Even so, it couldn’t possibly take any longer than that though… because his cultivation speed would increase a little again when the spiritual energy density level reached Third-Realm level.
It would only take a few months more at the maximum for him to reach peak-level Transformation Realm.
He cast a mental glance at the 8.95 number and secretly looked forward to it.
When that happened, it would be time for him to break through to the Divine Body Realm.
Now that he had a clear and concrete understanding, the pressure on w.a.n.g Hu had greatly reduced.
He would definitely be able to break through to the Divine Body Realm in less than three years.
When that happened…
w.a.n.g Hu exhaled lightly. He stopped teasing Silly Girl and went off to a nearby spot and started to cultivate with even more motivation.
Over the following half a month, he had already made a series of plans with regard to what he should do before he broke through to the Divine Body Realm, what he should do after that, as well as how he should handle certain sudden accidents should they happen.
Unfortunately, changes would always be a step ahead of plans.
A few days later…
Di Baijun, who was in the midst of cultivating, suddenly woke up with a start. Her gaze flicked to the direction of the south, and a hint of alarm and unease welled up in her.
A mere few seconds later, w.a.n.g Hu also became astonished. He could sense that the spiritual energy in the air was currently increasing incredibly rapidly. The rapid increase was as though a fierce, surging tidal wave, and it was completely unlike the usual gradual and steady increase.
In the blink of an eye, it had immeasurably increased. All of a sudden—as though it had shattered a limit, it reached a whole new level at a certain point.
On top of that, it continued to increase rapidly as though there was no end to it.
However, w.a.n.g Hu no longer had the leisure to pay any attention to the increase in spiritual energy at this point. Instead, the astonished w.a.n.g Hu’s attention was all on how all the spiritual energy around him was automatically rus.h.i.+ng into his body and strengthening it.
Spiritual energy nourishment!
There was no mistake about it. Having experienced it once, he was very sure about it. This was spiritual energy nourishment.
However, why was spiritual energy nourishment happening again?
Was it because of the spiritual energy increase just now?
His alarmed and unsure gaze flicked toward Silly Girl the next moment—only to see that her expression was also filled with alarm, uncertainty, contemplation, gravity, and restraining fear.
w.a.n.g Hu ran over to Silly Girl and asked gravely, “What’s going on, Baijun?”
Di Baijun shook her head. A hint of hesitation flashed past her face, and she glanced at the jerk. After a moment’s thought, however, she couldn’t help but reply nevertheless, “The spiritual energy density level has reached a point that’ll allow Divine Body Realm cultivators to appear.”
w.a.n.g Hu nodded. He had guessed as much.
Additionally, judging from how it was still rapidly increasing, it definitely wouldn’t stop at just a point barely past the start of the Third Realm.
“Although it’s rare for awakenings of spiritual energy to occur, it does happen in other worlds in the universe. Spiritual energy nourishment at this point is likely something that’ll only happen in a few such cases.
“I’ve never heard of a second round of spiritual energy nourishment happening when the spiritual energy density level reaches the Third-Realm level,” said Di Baijun in a rare moment of sternness.
w.a.n.g Hu frowned. Silly Girl was actually adopting such a stern att.i.tude.
“Also, when world pa.s.sages connect two worlds, the strong will now be able to enter low-grade worlds. At best, they would only be unable to utilize their full strength after they entered,” added Di Baijun.
Her words shocked w.a.n.g Hu. As it turned out, the world pa.s.sage on Earth wasn’t a normal one!
What the heck! There must be a big secret in this!
Putting all of these together, it was no wonder that Silly Girl had become so stern.
Suddenly, even he felt a wave of pressure a.s.sailing him.
As expected, the more one knew, the worse they felt—because they would end up thinking more about it.
This was an intelligent lifeform’s instinct.
[1] The term Di Baijun used when she told him to ‘get lost’ literally translates to ‘roll egg’.
