After speaking, Huo Siqian coughed and blood seeped out of the corner of his mouth…

“President Huo…” The security guard jumped up to help him.

“Leave…” Huo Siqian spat icily, closing himself up to the rest of the world. He raised his hand and gently pressed on his chest as a helpless smile appeared on his face. “This girl was sure merciless… ouch.”

Huo Mian disregarded her own life, smas.h.i.+ng both of their expensive cars into putty and leaving him and herself with internal injuries.

Although Huo Siqian avoided death by jumping out of his car, the first two crashes were really hard. If Huo Mian wasn’t the one who smashed into him, he would’ve returned the favor and cut that person up into pieces.

However, he was willing to tolerate everything she did. He was even willing to one day die in her hands.

Before Huo Mian came into his life, Huo Siqian used to think he was born to endure all the pain in this world.

No one knew that Huo Mian was the only ray of suns.h.i.+ne in his dark world. He was even willing to become a good man for her. But… would he ever get a chance to turn into a good person?

Huo Siqian covered his chest and quietly went up to his office.

“Mian… I’ll never blame you, no matter what you do,” he muttered ever so gently. His voice was as soft as a feather as if he was the only one in the world who could hear how much he loved her.

After Huo Mian left the hospital, she said goodbye to Su Yu and took a cab to Mo Xue’er’s mansion.

To her surprise, Jiang Ye was the one who came to the door, wearing nothing but a bathrobe…

It seemed like the rumors of Mo Xue’er going back and forth between Huo Siqian and Jiang Ye was true. More accurately, she loved Huo Siqian, but she slept with Jiang Ye when she felt lonely.

Jiang Ye was a bit surprised to see Huo Mian, but the latter said calmly, “I’m here to see Mo Xue’er.”

“Come in first.” Jiang Ye opened the door and let Huo Mian in.

Today, she was wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and short booties. She still looked like a teenager, but her outfit today proved that she was in a bad mood.

“Xue’er… someone’s here for you,” Jiang Ye yelled towards the top of the stairs, and Mo Xue’er walked downstairs wearing a white bathrobe.

Her hair was dripping wet, it seemed like she just had a shower. Upon seeing Huo Mian, Mo Xue’er snickered, “Well, if it isn’t Mrs. Qin… Oh, wait, I can’t call you that anymore. President Qin announced to the world that you’re divorced.”

“Let’s talk.” Huo Mian’s gaze calmly grazed Mo Xue’er’s face, but the latter replied arrogantly, “What’s there to talk about? Isn’t our relations.h.i.+p clear? I thought we were enemies.”

She no longer needed to suck up to Huo Mian like she used to and showed all her hatred towards this woman on her face.

“I think you might be interested in what’s in my hand,” Huo Mian said as she threw a file pouch onto her coffee table.

Mo Xue’er glanced at her and then at Jiang Ye. “Sweetie, go upstairs, I’m going to talk to her.”

“Sure, take your time,” Jiang Ye said as he turned around. When he pa.s.sed Huo Mian, he smiled. “Baby, would you like some tea?’

“No,” Huo Mian replied; she didn’t like him very much and thought he played around with his words too much.

“Okay then, I’ll be leaving…” Then, Jiang Ye went upstairs.

Mo Xue’er walked up to Huo Mian and sat down on her couch, subsequently lighting up a cigarette. “What do you want?”

“You should take a look at this,” Huo Mian pointed at the file pouch.
