Overlord In Cultivation

Chapter 144

“Hahaha…you’re all going to die. I’d like to see how you will survive this!” Seeing that ten masters from Zu Palace survived the attack, Zu Yankui shouted in excitement, “All your lives will be sacrificed to revenge the four perished talents of our race.”

The Great Formation of Starry Sky was now enveloped in billowy divine energy that must have been transported by the surviving ten masters to stabilize the formation. And in less than three days they would reach earth.

“What can we do? Is there really nothing we can do to stop them and just wait for the end?” Xia Ze and others clenched their hands tight in despair, their face livid out of rage. Though they had managed to kill four enemies, there were still ten powerful of them approaching earth through the formation.

“Don’t panic,” Tie Baocai gasped heavily for air and said in a malicious voice, “We can all wait here. And we must be quick to attack at the very moment they arrive because their cultivation will be suppressed by the Rules on earth. We still stand a chance when the enemies are not in their prime state.”

What Tie Baocai meant was to seize the only chance; however, once they failed, all masters with profound cultivation would perish, and if that happened, the earth would fall completely into enemies’ hands with no remaining masters to protect it.

“If Warlord Su Yan is here, can we stand a better chance?” some ventured to ask.

Tie Baocai shook his head as he believed that, though Su Yan was in the Toughest Trial, it was still impossible for Su Yan to open Sacred Door in such a short time, which usually required one or two years of cultivation and acc.u.mulation.

Now for all people on earth, every day pa.s.sed was tormenting.

The next day in the innermost depth of Toughest Trial, the whole Holy Territory was shaking violently as if it was going to shatter with some unfathomable breath.

“What a great opportunity!” exclaimed Su Yan in surprise. He had consumed countless resources to open his Destiny Spring, now to open Sacred Door, he wasn’t sure if the Essence Stones he had prepared would be sufficient for his breakthrough.

That worry aside, the whole Holy Territory was ablaze because of the rules Su Yan had comprehended.

Boom!

Ma.s.sive energy of Rules cascaded down into Su Yan’s body, then further into his Destiny Spring, which immediately boomed with horrifying aura. The Rules he had comprehended interacted with those in the Holy Territory because they were completely the same. And as the Rules interacted and merged, Su Yan’s Destiny Spring gave out terrifying aura like an ancient holy territory.

“He did it!” Old Taoist was shocked by Su Yan’s success in such a short time.

Su Yan’s Destiny Spring changed, turning into a holy territory of Rules, which, when reviving to its prime state, released countless streaks of formidable power that could even penetrate the sky.

“Sacred Door, Open!” roared Su Yan as all Essence Stones in the tripod melted into energy of essence that nourished his Destiny Spring to such an extent that it nearly exploded.

Boom!

Inside his body resounded the vast sounds of chanting while the power of Rules and the energy of his Destiny Spring combined to attack the ancient door that still looked vague. Along with that came thundering sounds of divinity, indicating that Su Yan was going through the strongest breakthrough as he had already touched upon the way to open Sacred Door.

Every time Su Yan tried to break off the shackle, he felt some vague power rippling from the Taoist Door that seemingly tended to shatter him into pieces.

Buzz!

Su Yan fully mobilized the energy of his body and by the time his body united with his life implement, he turned into a vague primordial planet to endure the shattering power from the Taoist Door.

Every minute of the breakthrough would consume countless vitality of essence in his body. But for the mightiness of his Destiny Spring, the exuberant energy it acc.u.mulated and the numerous Essence Stones he had prepared, he would probably fail.

The ma.s.sive Rules interweaved in his Life Tripod, which played an essential part in opening Sacred Door.

Su Yan’s Life Tripod, suffused with terrifying power that would even shake the heavens, kept bombarding the Taoist Door.

However, the Old Taoist, who was watching Su, wore a serious look as he didn’t expect the process to be so long and difficult. Based on Su Yan’s rich resources and his cultivation, he should have make it in half an hour, plus he had quite an understanding of the Rules. Yet after a whole day, Su Yan still didn’t succeed in opening his Sacred Doo. Was it because of his special body const.i.tution?

“Senior, I’m running out of resources!”

Hearing that, the Old Taoist smiled, “Just focus, the trial place will make sure that you open the first Taoist Door.”

With that, ma.s.sive essence of vitality emerged in the fourth level of the trial and went straight into Su Yan’s body. The next moment, his previous weak breath boomed, his body thrived, and his Life Tripod flamed!

“Open!” roared Su Yan as he aimed dozens of attacks at the vague door, which cracked with formidable waves of energy from the starry sky penetrating through.

“It’s nearly done!” Old Taoist gasped in shock, his eyes wide open. The process had lasted for two days and two nights.

Su Yan didn’t stop and hit the Taoist door with all his might, his Life Tripod getting increasingly horrifying with more power of starry sky acc.u.mulating.

The Taoist Door became clearer and was at the brink of being opened. Finally, under the numerous attack from Su Yan, the door opened, releasing sky shattering power as if some faint Ocean of Chaos was rolling as well as countless lightning of Chaos in it.

An extremely terrifying anomaly as if a new universe of chaos was hidden in it.

Boom!

All power of Essence Stones was infused into the vague Taoist Door. Now Su Yan looked unfathomable as he created his own world in the door with his Life Tripod. Gradually, his Taoist Door became more magnificent and formidable as if some ancient sage was chanting, the dazzling gleam of which even eclipsed the sun.

Horrifying, magnificent, yet with thousands of anomalies manifesting such as the vague planet, looming sun, golden lotus enveloped in air of chaos, and a figure in chaos…

These were anomalies and illusions, not what really happened…however, by the time when Su Yan’s Taoist door became formidable enough, these might actually evolve into the reality.

Su Yan’s body thrived the moment the Taoist door opened, his Soul booming, and his breath skyrocketing.

Su Yan now looked like a deity who just split the chaos, exuding unparalleled breath that shone over the world.

“I did it!”

Su Yan laughed as he felt the billowy divine power inside his body and his fight capability soared due to the Sacred Door.

Su Yan was now a different man who could now easily crush Zu Yan.

“You’re amazing. I didn’t expect you to open the Sacred Door in such a short time.” Old Taoist exclaimed, “By the time you open nine Taoist doors, you will be invincible.”

“Senior, I don’t have much time for the talk.” Su Yan asked as he came over to the Old Taoist, “I want to claim the reward for pa.s.sing the fourth trial.”

“No worries.” With that, Old Taoist waved his sleeve, bringing something extremely cold down from the emptiness. It was a jade bed of snow white enveloped in the freezing mist of frost as if it was carved out of ice. A visible divine aura surrounded the bed, making it holy and pure.

“What is it, Senior?” Su Yan asked out of surprise as he just sensed the breath of divine material. This Ice Jade Bed must have been carved out of something divine and precious.

“This Ice Jade Bed can help to stabilize the tossing qi in her.” Old Taoist continued after a while of ponderation, “I’ll be honest with you. The cure for her is by no means ordinary. You can find it in this place of trial, but it is extremely horrifying.”

“Senior, how long can the bed buy for her?”

“Three years,” replied the Old Taoist. “This Ice Jade Bed is a special treasure that can help with her cultivation. During the time she stays on it, the bed will nourish her special body and bring her great s.p.a.ce for future improvement.”

“Three years?” Su Yan’s breath became heavier upon the answer, “Is it possible for me to find the cure in three years?”

“No,” the Old Taoist shook his head, “Do you ever think about it. Three years is but a short span, but don’t lost hope. You must find a sacred soul herb to save her. And such a herb is way too precious. The thing is it won’t take a complete sacred soul herb to save her as he soul isn’t too powerful. Only a small part of that should be able to cure her.”

“Then I’ll find one in three years!” Su Yan clenched his fist and with a thought, he moved Yin Yisi out from the phoenix hairpin and put her on the Ice Jade Bed, which immediately glowed and released something divine that enveloped Yin Yisi. That divine glow was so freezing that it immediately turned into ice wrapping around her body. Surprisingly, the divine glow was nouris.h.i.+ng her body and even her soul, but was still too weak to repair her seriously wounded soul.

“If the divine power of the Ice Jade Bed is depleted in three years, will it help to keep her alive if I find another Ice Jade Bed?”

The Old Taoist shook his head, “No, everything has its fate. She should have perished already but for the Ice Jade Bed. Buying her three years is already against the natural law.”

“Three years is all I have then,” said Su Yan as he put the Ice Jade Bed and Yin Yisi back to his phoenix hairpin. He then took a deep breath, “Senior, I’ve got a lot to attend to outside. So please.”

Hearing that, the Old Taoist gave a wave of his sleeve and sent Su Yan out.

However, the minute Su Yan got out, he was shocked by the devastating air in the wilderness region. It seemed the heaven was weeping and bleeding.
