Chapter 1765 - A Demonic Roar

“Yuanji? What kind of name is that? An Exceptional Genius? Let me tell you, I’m just…”

Xiu Shenliang paused briefly. His tone switched all of a sudden, “It might be a strange name, but my respect for Master Yuanji is boundless like the magnificent sky. Words couldn’t describe it all!”

Qin Nan’s crew, Immortal Emperor Jiangjue, and the others reacted as if they had just seen a ghost upon hearing the words.

Didn’t the guy have a bad mouth ever since he was born? Wasn’t he unable to control his words and would mock everyone he sees?

Why was he complimenting Yuanji now?

Had he been putting up an act all along?

As soon as the thought crossed their mind, the eyes of Qin Nan, the Eight Brilliance Demon Emperor, Immortal Emperor Jiangjue, and the others flickered murderously.

They would not mind if the guy was mocking them subconsciously. It was still understandable to them, but if he was only putting up an act, they would not tolerate it any further.

“What just happened? Why would I say things like that?”

Xiu Shenliang began to panic too.

Mocking others had always been his bad habit. He always wanted to fix it, yet when he actually acted otherwise, he was having a hard time accepting it.

“Hehe, you’re so honest, not bad, not bad, come with me, I’ll look after you from now onward!”

Yuanji patted Xiu Shenliang on the shoulder with satisfaction.

“It’s him?”

Qin Nan and his crew, Immortal Emperor Jiangjue, and the others soon realized something did not seem right. They all placed their attention on Yuanji.

“Interesting.”

Qin Nan slightly squinted.

He was only less than two zhang away from Yuanji, yet the monk could still alter Xiu Shenliang’s nature without him knowing. It was no ordinary trick indeed.

“Yuanji, enough with the nonsense, come over here!”

The old monk in a gray outfit surprisingly snapped with a dark expression.

Jiu Jie and the disciples of the Ancient Bodhi Temple clenched their teeth too. Their gaze toward Yuanji had no sign of respect but anger instead.

“Cough cough, cultivator, there are so many people here, can’t you go easy on me?” Yuanji said awkwardly.

“You’re calling me a cultivator too? How did I teach you? You should call people master!”

Blue veins surfaced on the old monk’s forehead. He dashed forward and grabbed Yuanji before beating the c.r.a.p out of him in front of the crowd.

Yuanji immediately fled without caring about his image. He would beg for mercy or curse at times. He even cried out in agony like a pig being slaughtered.

The crowd’s face stiffened upon seeing this.

Was he really an Exceptional Genius?

Were they really the monks they knew?

They were clearly just two little rascals!

“d.a.m.n it, that Yuanji was trying to set me up. I took a quick look just then. It seems like he has some special tricks that can make a person to act in contradiction…” Xiu Shenliang said angrily.

“Act in contradiction?”

Qin Nan frowned.

What kind of trick was that?

“Oh Xiao Liang (Xiu Shenliang), Yuanji’s ability is quite impressive. If you follow him, won’t you have a chance to fix the bad habit of yours?” the Eight Brilliance Demon Emperor whispered.

He was actually quite worried about Xiu Shenliang. The man’s bad mouth was surely going to stir some great trouble eventually.

However, since he needed Xiu Shenliang’s help when he first came to the Fourth Small Immortal Realm, he had no choice but to bring him around.

“It does seem that way.”

Xiu Shenliang’s eyes glittered.

His bad habit of mocking people had stirred up lots of troubles for him. It had even placed his life in danger several times.

It was one of the main reasons he was expelled from the Illusionary Immortal Dao Gate too.

“But, I’m quite addicted to it, I don’t feel like fixing it now…” Xiu Shengliang said softly.

He shrugged after giving it some thought.

The Eight Brilliance Demon Emperor almost vomited blood upon hearing it.

“Cultivators, now that everyone is here, let’s work together and open the entrance.”

Immortal Emperor Zhugang of the Nongyan Tribe added after finis.h.i.+ng the sentence, “Master, that includes you too.”

The old monk in a gray outfit finally came to a stop. He flung his sleeves and harrumphed coldly before moving to the other side. He was still wearing a displeased look.

“Sure!”

Immortal Emperor Jiangjue, Immortal Emperor Guqing, Immortal Emperor Qingli, and the others flew toward the glazed entrance, followed by the remaining cultivators.

Qin Nan and his crew followed too, but they did not go too close. They stayed a few hundred zhang away.

If there was any kind of danger when the entrance was opened, the others would have more than thirty Peerless Rulers protecting them, but they were completely on their own.

“Do it!”

Immortal Emperor Zhugang gave the command after calming his thoughts. Following it, the Peerless Rulers unleashed their auras and Dao Glows. Strong Dao Intents burst out of their bodies, causing the entire place to shake vigorously.

BANG!

It felt as if a heavenly sword was slas.h.i.+ng forward.

An unimaginably terrifying force landed on the entrance of the palace. The Glaze Ancient Palace began to tremble as cracks surfaced on the entrance.

A few moments later, the giant door broke into pieces after a loud explosion.

“It’s open!”

The cultivators were startled.

Qin Nan and his crew were staring ahead too.

Inside the hall was an indescribable darkness. Even with a powerful eye-technique, they could mostly see the doorstep that was made of red wood. They were unable to see the inside.

Immortal Emperor Zhugang, Immortal Emperor Jiangjue, and the rest of the Peerless Rulers did not rush in straight away. They exchanged glances with one another and discussed among themselves. After a while, they curled their fingers and flicked wisps of Dao Glows into the hall.

A few moments later, there was no response from the palace.

“Let’s head inside together,” Immortal Emperor Zhugang said and entered the palace, followed by the rest of the Immortal Emperors.

However, the whole place began to tremble all of a sudden. A strong howling wind came from the north.

“Mm?”

Qin Nan suddenly felt something. He glanced at the top of the Glaze Ancient Palace.

ROAR!

It felt as if a terrifying demon whose existence was forbidden by the Heavens and Earth was awakened from a deep slumber. It had just uttered a furious roar.

The eyes of the Peerless Rulers widened.

The Heaven Immortals were startled. Apart from Qin Nan, Yuanji, Xiao Yiyu, Zhu Zihuang, and a few others, the rest groaned as if they had just received a tremendous blow.

The Human Immortals’ faces turned pale white. Blood was flowing out of their orifices.

They had already suffered serious injuries before they knew what happened.
