Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 200

The final stop, according to Kazuya, was the annual carnival. It was roughly 3:00 PM; they had around four hours before the festival would close, and before they would have to head back. Lyn still felt awkward after what happened at the tower and remained quiet the entire time. That was until Kazuya told her their destination, and she made some light talk. He seemed bothered that she had somebody else before. Her gaze softened, even though her previous relations.h.i.+p wasn"t real, it was still a relations.h.i.+p.

Kazuya though, didn"t make any side remarks after she finished her tale earlier. All he did was hold her tightly and introduce himself. If it were Rhys or somebody else, they wouldn"t react so calmly. Lyn paused, "Why is she even thinking of Rhys, anyway? That jerk can go die for all she cares," Lyn thought. The last time they spoke properly, he was trying to take advantage of her.

"I"ll make sure you have a lovely time," Kazuya tugged her hand and drew closer. Lyn leaned in.

"Un," Lyn trailed off. But she is already very happy, Kazuya has done so much for her and this entire day has been perfect.

"Any time I spend with you is one of my most memorable times." He spoke softly.

"Oh, you. That deserves a kiss," Lyn pressed her lips towards his cheek.

The annual carnival consisted of various rides that could be built and taken apart within a few days, therefore they were somewhat smaller than the rides at official parks.

The golden-orange colors of the sunset blended into the scenery. It"s already this time of day, even though it"s only 3:00 PM. Lyn had to admit that she was surprised; she thought the Snow Kingdom constantly had grey skies. In the few days she stayed over at the castle, she saw nothing like this. The small food stands on both sides sent a delicious smell in the air. Kazuya seemed familiar with the sites, and yet Lyn was staring at everything with wide eyes.

"So what do you want to do first?" Kazuya asked.

"I don"t know... There"s just so much!" Lyn exclaimed as she scanned the booths set up around the perimeter of the park. This is the first time she has seen things like this, but Lyn was not unfamiliar with it. At least she saw things in books that person brought over.

Lyn could remember how every time she went to see him, she saw and learned about many things. He always had different books and had many stories to share with her.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

"How about something simple?" Kazuya pointed to a booth.

"Sure!"

Kazuya paid for one round of ping pong b.a.l.l.s and loaded the first into the toy gun they gave him. The prizes consisted of stuffed animals from different sizes, from plus.h.i.+e-sized to keychains. Lyn was curious about the game; she heard that new forms of entertainment are gradually getting introduced. However, she looked at the toy gun - isn"t that the modern weaponry going around? To make a toy out of it seems unusual. But maybe she"s over-a.n.a.lyzing it, Kazuya picked it up quickly.

The game set up so that getting a large prize was impossible. Lyn immediately realized this when she saw the prizes. Considering how ma.s.sive the toy gun was and the weight of the b.a.l.l.s. What"s the point in a game if the customers can"t even win? Before Lyn could voice that thought out though, Kazuya stopped her.

"Shh, leave it to me."

"But," isn"t it impossible? Lyn, however, saw something she wanted and shyly tugged on Kazuya"s sleeves, "I want that one," she pointed to the teddy bear, and Kazuya laughed.

"Of course, it"s perfect for my cute and adorable Lyn."

Is he implying that she is like a kid? But, no matter.

Kazuya aimed at the large toy and fired the first ball at the base of the toy, causing it to slide back toward the edge of the shelf. Wow, he can do it. Still, she looked at the toy gun. She"s quite curious before Lyn knew it she already picked it up. When Kazuya"s next shot grazed the bear"s ear, which pushed it back slightly edging towards the edge. Lyn was searching for a target.

She eventually found one, three small key chains. It should be okay; the gun was heavy but not as heavy as she thought it would be.

"Congratulations," the owner of the booth said. Ah Kazuya won too, right at that moment she fired hers, and in one hit she knocked off the keychains. Kazuya was about to congratulate the other person when he saw her, he laughed.

"It was you?"

"Yep! I paid for my own round while you were busy focusing." She stuck her tongue out a little, knowing how he hated when she paid for herself when he was around.

Kazuya didn"t seem bothered this time though and smiled, he gently kissed her forehead, "As expected from my wife."

Lyn blushed, "I—I"m not your," what is this wife nonsense? Since when did he get this confident?

The owner of the booth laughed, "You have a cute wife sir."

"Indeed, but she has a mean hook."

"To keep you in line, sir."

"Che, why would I cheat when I have her? Besides, I"m a man of morals."

Lyn tugged on his arm, "Quit being embarra.s.sing already," she mumbled. But Kazuya seemed very happy.

...

"Wahh, look there are musicians!" Lyn exclaimed. She could hear music from afar, but she tried not to show her excitement and waited until they were in the area.

Kazuya smiled, "Come to think of it. I haven"t heard you sing in a while. Why don"t you perform?"

Lyn pouted, "Do you think I"m falling for that last time you were trying to make fun of me."

"But since then you"ve graced me with your lovely voice, sing for me?"

Lyn looked him up and down when she saw his sincere expression; she made her way over to the musicians. It was still difficult for her to take to others, but she was getting used to it. Lyn whispered in the female musician"s ear, and the woman smiled. "Can you memorize a song quickly, little girl?"

"Yes!" Lyn had great confidence in her memorizing.

"Okay, take this. Hey you lot, same song as usual. But this girl will sing."

The woman"s team members nodded, and Lyn looked at them with wonder. They don"t mind? She supposes people in the Snow Kingdom aren"t completely cold-hearted after all.

After a few minutes, Lyn was ready.

"You"re in my life

Every day you stand by me

And embrace who I really am

And who I want to be

In this world and..."

Kazuya has always accepted her, always accepted the current her and supported her dreams.

"Now, hand in hand

We"re unbreakable, unstoppable

Full of hope, full of joy

For what it means with you by my side

I"ll never hide

Now, I"m not afraid anymore

Stronger than I was before, yeah

This is magic what you"ve given me

No matter what steps we take

There"s a bond you cannot break..." Lyn sang.

Ah, this song - it reminds her so much of her feelings for Kazuya.
