Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 325

Lyn wakes up startled in the middle of the night. She wakes up feeling a heavyweight on her body when Lyn opened her eyes; she saw a shocking sight. It was Rhys, of course, but something was different, he had her hands pinned upwards.

"Huh, you woke up?" Rhys mumbled.

She slowly nodded her head and realized that Rhys didn"t intend to let her ho.

"Rhys, what is this supposed to be?"

"Hm? What does it look like? I"m thinking of ways to tie you up," Rhys took something out that looked like a blindfold and rope.

"Dummy, I can see that, but I"m asking for the reason why," she questioned. Her tone filled with uncertainty. What is he up to now? He seemed just fine right before she fell asleep.

"You"re supposed to be on prohibition unless you know. Although your actions moved everyone, not even they can bend the rules too much," Rhys trails off, "Besides, this is a lenient punishment. The worst-case scenario would be them sealing away your voice. But since this happened after the older geezers deflected. Prince Andrew bent a few rules for your sake."

He makes a point there. But Rhys knew about her prohibition? Not even Kazuya knew about it. Then again, that shouldn"t be a surprise to her already. How many things does Rhys know about her that Kazuya doesn"t.

"Why do you have to tie me up?"

"Mm, I wonder why."

"Rhys, if you"re doing this because of your strange fetish. Even you"d get in trouble."

"Lyn…"

Is he going to touch her? Even if it"s through these means, she won"t mind. Lyn shook her head, what ridiculous things is she thinking?

Oh he"s close now. Feeling his gentle touch across her cheek, a sigh of content escapes his her lips. He"s always been so very silly. "Well, there"s a reason for this other than my fetish. I went on a bit of a killing spree recently."

" . . . . . "

So that"s why his beautiful flames are shackled.

"It seems like you are no longer surprised. Say, do you know why I"m telling you this?" Rhys places his hand on her cheek. His cool hands

"I want to know how you feel. These hands that you"re starting to like are much are more filthy than you think. Can you bear these hands to touch you every day?"

Lyn immediately understood where he was coming from. He"s trying to say he is filthy. The look in his eyes seems so cold; his gaze seems so dark. But, even then Lyn didn"t look away from him once. With a determined look on her face, she kept her eyes on him.

Sure enough, Rhys suddenly pulled back from her and sighed. "You really are making this difficult for me. I thought I could persuade you to go back."

"Why are you so against this?" Rhys may be worried about her. But he usually doesn"t express such unusual concern.

"The direction we"re heading in is where the next case will take place. I was worried that you"re not recovered enough to fight." Rhys admitted.

Ah, Lyn"s gaze softened, and she buried her face in his back. "Well, I understand now. But I still want to go. There are things I can do now that my existence is slowly out in the open. I won"t miss my opportunity. I do understand what your thinking. These days it feels like this body is no longer my own. When that happens, I become afraid."

"Lyn…"

"But you know Rhys, that"s fine with me. I have you and so many other people to support me now."

The reason why she"s able to come out of her sh.e.l.l now is because of the people who care about her.

"Long carriages are strange. I thought it was horse-powered, but there are only a few horses at the front," Lyn mumbled as she looked outside the window. It was still the middle of the night, so naturally, all she could see was darkness. But even then, it was so stunning in her eyes.

"Yeah, why do you keep looking away from me?"

For the past few minutes, Lyn made sure to look away from him. Rhys was sat beside her, his hands on hers. He insisted on holding her hand since it would supposedly calm him down. But that didn"t make it better; Lyn felt her heart speeding at an incredible rate.

"Your imagining things. I just want to look outside."

"I see, it"s too bad."

"...Rhys, um, how long until we get there?"

Rhys peered over, "Huh, at this speed, probably in a few hours…"

"Then, I"ll go back to sleep."

"Are you nervous? You don"t have to be, I"m sober now. I won"t do anything."

"..."

That doesn"t stop her from feeling self-conscious. Then again, maybe she is just freaking out for no reason. Lyn took a deep breath and looked outside again. How mysterious. Since Kazuya and everybody came, she"s experienced so much.

While she had more or less been running amok for a while now. Before Kazuya came, she actually stayed put at home for a good half a year. At that time, s.h.i.+oka, though, gathered the information she needed and made the necessary preparations. Now things are ready.

Even if Kazuya didn"t come here, Lyn would have found a pretext to convince her brother to go out. It just so happened that things turned out differently.

"And what of yourself?"

Lyn looked at him blankly.

"Your house arrest."

Lyn looked at him, surprised. It is so natural for her to have him by her side that it slipped her mind. What a strange feeling this is, then again, she seems to always get this way around the man named Rhys.

"They appear to be letting you go for just a day, should you not be more suspicious of that?" Rhys asked. He did not mask his concern.

"I am suspicious. My brother even said, "Come back before the time limit. There is something interesting I ought to let you in on.""

"That"s a warning that he will keep you locked up with no escape next time."

At that comment, Lyn almost drops her water, but with the wave of his finger, it gently floats it back into her hands. Lyn"s gaze brightened. "You can use magic like that too?"

Rhys magic has always interested her. Maybe because, unlike other people, he uses the ancient arts.

Lyn murmurs a quick thank you before going on to say, "Is that not the part that you ought to be wary off? What if it"s a trap of some kind? Did you not think of asking for some help from your companions while your able to roam freely?"

Judging from the pause and Rhys sudden discomfort on his face. Lyn knew she hit the nail on the head. What a hopeless person, then again is she any better than him? The answer is no.

"Even if I hold such knowledge. I don"t want to get any more of my companions caught up in any dangers of such magnitude."Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

Lyn smiled, "That"s more like you."

"Do you not understand the dangers involved in this case?"
