Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 370

It"s so selfish her; Lyn understood it better than anyone. Kazuya deserves to be with another person. He doesn"t deserve to be dragged into the conflict of the Mist Kingdom. Even if the Sound Kingdom is against them now. She is positive that if her Mother extended the treaty towards them, even they would comply. The reason why she can say this for sure is because of the words Kazuya gave her. He made it clear to her that the main reason for the Sound Kingdom elder"s revenge plan is Mother.

Since Mother complies with the wishes of the Mist Kingdom elders, complies with the outdated views that Grandmother wrote. If Mother changed her ways, there wouldn"t be a problem. However, if Mother did, that and Kazuya returned to the Sound Kingdom. Lyn wouldn"t know what to do.

He deserves better than her, but she is still unwilling to let him go.

"Before I get into some speech about my feelings for Kazuya, maybe you should interrupt me, s.h.i.+oka?"

For a while now, s.h.i.+oka had ceased talking and seemed to be lost in thought before he said. "So that"s what it was. I probably didn"t understand as much as I thought. I was under the impression that you merely not accustomed to being around friendly people like me. At some point, I thought of us as similar, even though I went with that a.s.sumption/explanation for your actions. Apart of me understood that there was something wrong. "

Something huh?

s.h.i.+oka continued, after a pause. "Something different. But I never bothered finding out what that difference was. Maybe because I wanted to continue on thinking we were similar, that I could share a connection with you. Relations.h.i.+ps with people than to me were very important. I didn"t want to be alone anymore. I wanted someone to hold me tight and not let me go. We were both so very different."

Lyn shook her head, "No, I understand those feelings very well. But, I realized that it isn"t healthy latching yourself onto just any person."

s.h.i.+oka looked down, "You"re making me feel like I did something before I even do."

"I"m just erasing the thought from your mind. I do appreciate your help s.h.i.+oka. If it weren"t for you, I really would have remained a clueless Princess."

"So, what"s our next move?"

"I was thinking, we just use your powers and make them submit. You can just enslave them with that mind control magic of yours."

At that comment, Lyn landed a punch on his stomach. To think he would suggest something so unreasonable. Then again, she doesn"t even want to have a conversation with this person on life and death.

Lyn sighed, "Besides, even if I did that, it"s not like I"ll get in trouble. I wouldn"t be surprised if eldest brother Andrew praised me for it. Brother Zepher would even reward me," she trailed off, thinking of the reactions of the others. "Why are the people around me so weird?"

"That"s because you"re weird too."

"Did you come here to insult me?"

"I was thinking, are you still taking the medicine Rhys gave you? If you aren"t, you should switch to other means already. I"ve already offered my blood to you, but you still don"t take it."

The medication s.h.i.+oka is referring to is the ones Rhys has been making for her since they came back from the Snow Kingdom. Ever since they met, he"s asked more questions about her condition. Since he has a legit medical license, Lyn didn"t bother questioning his intentions before. These medications vary from liquid to tablets. The tablets are more convenient to carry around, so she takes those ones the most.

The tablets are mixed with various ingredients, one of them being blood.

"Are you sure?" s.h.i.+oka continued. "I mean, I don"t mind. I"m not a Knight or anything. So even if I die from blood loss, it wouldn"t matter."

"Honestly, why are you so eager to die? Don"t you know how many innocent people are being forced into suicide right now? Quit offering yourself."

"You know I don"t mean it that way. Well, I can see how stressed out this makes you. That"s why I didn"t say anything for a while," s.h.i.+oka trailed off and placed some files on her lap. With those words said, he swiftly left.

Lyn didn"t say a word and put the files on the table. She wanted to think for a bit. The air is getting chillier and chillier by the day.

Her thoughts broke off when she felt Kazuya"s arms wrap around her. "Are you done with your conversation?"

"Are you done eavesdropping?"

Kazuya chuckled, "I didn"t mean to, but you guys didn"t exactly choose a private location."

"Mmm," she turned around and snuggled into his embrace. "I wouldn"t hide it from you anyway. Can you believe him? He keeps talking about being a blood bank. He"s very insensitive."

Lyn didn"t know as she spoke, Kazuya wasn"t listening. Instead, he seemed to be s.p.a.cing out. It was only when she looked up, did she notice his expression. "Kazuya?" Lyn called out.

"Just now, I thought if you really need that blood thing for your medicine. Why don"t you take it from me?"

Lyn is horrified at Kazuya"s suggestion, and she shook her head. "Don"t you value your life either? Why would you even suggest such a thing?"

At that comment, Kazuya kissed her lips, "Because Lyn, your mine."

Ah? She looked at Kazuya, dumbfounded. What kind of reasoning is that? However, Kazuya wore such a serious expression on his face, so it was hard to refute him. It"s not like she didn"t understand his view. It would be normal if her significant other donated his blood for this cause. Rhys brought up the topic plenty of times, but Lyn couldn"t agree to it. It"s too risky, but then again, the current medication is made using Rhys blood.

He isn"t acting jealous again, is he? No, this isn"t jealousy.

However, judging from the look on his face, Kazuya was serious about this. So, he"s thought about it that much? Even though it bothered her. Lyn wouldn"t turn down somebody who is determined. More like if Kazuya asks her anything, she"s always had this bad habit of agreeing.

"Alright, talk to Rhys about it," she mumbled. Lyn wasn"t happy at all, but she can"t stop him from doing these careless things for her sake.

Kazuya placed a long trail of kisses on her cheeks and squeezed her hands. "Don"t worry, nothing bad will happen."

She wonders how many times she has heard him say those words. Nothing bad will happen, huh? Sure enough, Kazuya proved that to her on more than one occasion. But, there were plenty where that statement was false.
