Princess Lyn: Fleeting Dreams

Chapter 407

*UNEDITED*

Using his words as a guide post became something common for her. Whenever Lyn thought of doing anything reckless, she would think back to the words Kazuya said to her. Unfortunately, that doesn"t stop her from getting herself involved in such careless situations. "Gabrielle will get angry." If her friend finds out this happened right after they parted ways, then she would surely blame herself.

Lyn didn"t intend to sneak out this time. However, she saw strange people lurking on the castle grounds. So, before she knew it - she followed them. Their destination was an area not too far from the castle grounds.

This is really unbelievable, no matter how much Lyn cuts down even more regenerate; and she"s sure that the others have noticed it too. No matter how much they cut down it won"t end. Rather when did it start snowing? Indeed the mountains that were clear just moments ago were now filled with fresh pure snow. Fighting in this weather isn"t ideal but it"s not like they have much of a choice right now.

Rhys told her not to use it but in this stage just cutting them down normally won"t work. Lyn lifted her hand and a familiar blade appears. With the sword in hand, she stabbed it in the center of the ground causing a stream of magiv to appear. The large impact lifted her up in to the air; and she"s well aware that the other three despite being surrounded by themselves were rus.h.i.+ng over to reach her. Even if it"s them they can"t catch her from this height;but instead of hitting the ground with a large thud. She feels a familiar warmth and looked up,

"Kazuya?"

Indeed despite her dazed state Lyn made out bright brunette hair, those stupid eyes and grin. However, something about his usual look seemed colder.

"Lyn, that"s what you get," Kazuya tried to sound intimidating. But, it failed. Kazuya couldn"t mask his concern for her. Yet, that failed to register in her eyes. Why? Why is he such a fool?

"Why? Why did you come?" Lyn shouted, as she sat up. She struggled however and lost her balance several times, until Kazuya reached out to help her. She slapped his hand away, "What"s the point of everything I"ve done up until now?! Why have I been --"

What was the use of sacrificing everything? If he"s going to end up fighting alongside her like this? Exposing himself to danger..

"Shut up," he interjects." "Live." Huh? You want me to live like a normal person now? When did I ever say that"s what I wanted?! When did I ever ask for that?"

His sudden outburst surprised her. Kazuya is always smiling in front of her and acts like an idiot. Yet, Lyn knew this side of him very well. It surprised her, but Lyn immediately counter argued. "You"re being unpleasant. So very unpleasant," Lyn said hitting his chest, yet he grabbed hold of her wrist.

"I think you"re being unpleasant. I refuse to accept this. I don"t want to live if it means living without you. A future without you. ..means nothing at all to me," Kazuya snapped.

Lyn was about to shout at him when she felt his hands tremble even more than before. The colours around him turned blue like he was frozen. Her eyes widened and she immediately touched his hands. He was absolutely freezing. She didn"t have to ask why he was this cold.

"There is still a role for you here. After all I"m still here aren"t I?"

At this comment Kazuya lifts his head up and brushed his lips against her neck. The sensation of his lips there made her shudder.

"Really, really that"s not fair Lyn. What can I do? I want to monopolise you. I want to hold you and ensure that you don"t run of to a reckless place and get hurt. I want to stay beside you. Yet even doing that has become difficult. Your the kind of person who really does care about everyone. That once you start caring about another person you"ll even risk your life. Being a good friend is fine but doing that much. Doing that much isn"t right. You don"t have to sacrifice yourself so much for others. You should only want me and your mind should only be filled with thoughts of me, only want me."

Her eyes widened.

"In return. I"ll do the same for you. That"s why don"t leave me."

So that"s it. No wonder Lyn felt as though she"s heard that sentence before. Kazuya must of overheard her and Rhys that time. What a foolish guy. Truly they are all foolish. Lyn interwinded their hands together, " You know...I probably won"t mind being monopolised by you."

Right now these are her honest feelings. If it"s Kazuya, she doesn"t mind. Rhys, see how cruel she is? It"s difficult to give other people a chance to enter her heart. Difficult to accept another person"s love.

Kazuya laughs lightly, "Saying those words easily is like you. But be careful I"ll take them too seriously."

"Aha, then if you do I"d be in trouble, "she trails of, her gaze softens. "Kazuya, you understand it full well. Better then anyone else and maybe even better then myself. The thing that I have left to do is no longer just for the sake of the failure of back then. I"ve met so many people since that time after all. So so many people. They"ve all helped me taught me new things, I"ve experienced so much for every encounter. Whether its pain, sadness, despair loneliness. Happiness, tears of joy, anger, frustration. There"s a emotion in all of them. Yet I don"t regret it at all."

Kazuya pulled away then, his hands made its way onto her hair, " Really...you are unbelievable always...So unbelievable, "he muttered.

Lyn was about to say something but she then hears a familiar monstrous growl. "Stupid, were in the middle of a fight."

What was she doing getting caught in the moment like that?
