Chapter 202: Xiao Le’s Scream

Yu Jinzhou struggled to keep awake, but he followed a daily routine. He waited until 2:30 am, but there was still no movement. Lying down, he didn’t know when he fell asleep.

He slept lightly and was only half-asleep; he startled every time there was movement.

At 3:30 am, Xiao Le screamed in the middle of the night. His voice was shrill and ghastly. Yu Jinzhou immediately woke up, thinking that Xiao Le was being murdered.

He immediately rolled over, climbed down, and turned on the light, only to see Xiao Le standing at the door as he stared at Yang Mingwei, who was digging out Tang Zhaoming’s internal organs and chewing on them. Xiao Le was so scared that his face drained of color, his teeth chattered, his legs trembled, and he p.i.s.sed himself. Yellow liquid trickled down his pants, and he looked like he was going to faint.

Yu Jinzhou followed Xiao Le’s gaze.

By then, Yang Mingwei was no longer Yang Mingwei. A section of his skin had been torn off, revealing a b.l.o.o.d.y, mangled face. His body was covered in rotten flesh, with squirming bugs crawling all over his body. Beside him was a freshly peeled human skin.

Even though Yu Jinzhou was mentally prepared, Yang Mingwei’s monstrous appearance scared him so much that his vision turned black. He choked back the gasp that had just escaped his throat, and his whole body trembled.

Because of Xiao Le’s scream and Yu Jinzhou turning on the lights, Lu Yunfeng and Chen Yang were jolted awake. Lu Yunfeng was originally a bit impatient. “Why are you guys arguing so late at night?”

Lu Yunfeng’s words didn’t stop Xiao Le from screaming, especially when he saw the monster swallow Tang Zhaoming’s limbs in pieces. The monster even gave Xiao Le a strange, sinister smile, stood up, and was about to pounce on Xiao Le.

Xiao Le was scared out of his wits when he saw the monster lunge at him. He was so scared that he wet himself again and his face was pale. His legs were clearly as soft as dough, yet it was as if they were filled with lead, and he couldn’t move. His voice was mournful and desperate.

It was as mournful as it could be.

Seeing that Xiao Le was about to die, Yu Jinzhou subconsciously took out a talisman and threw it out. The talisman glowed brightly when it hit the monster.

The monster was caught off-guard and staggered back with a howl.

Taking advantage of this moment, Yu Jinzhou immediately pulled Xiao Le over, while Lu Yunfeng and Chen Yang, who were originally asleep, were so scared by this scene that they almost cried for their parents.

Lu Yunfeng didn’t even bother putting on his pants and immediately got out of bed. He gasped and asked with red eyes, “What the h.e.l.l is going on?” His eyes suddenly fell on the residual ground meat on the floor which Yang Mingwei had chewed on. His lips trembled in disbelief as he asked, “Is… Is that Tang Zhaoming?”

Lu Yunfeng suddenly thought of Lu Chengfu’s words and his face turned deathly pale, probably because he couldn’t accept that the minced meat on the ground was Tang Zhaoming, as well as this man-eating monster in front of him.

This scene simply subverted his worldview.

Lu Yunfeng was a bit braver. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to live if he didn’t calm down.

Chen Yang was so scared by the scene of this monster, Yang Mingwei, eating Tang Zhaoming that his legs turned to jelly and he cried for his parents. He even wet himself.

Especially when he thought about how he had been with this monster all day and almost slept in the same bed with it. If he hadn’t suddenly changed beds because of Yang Mingwei’s stinky feet, he might be the one dismembered on the floor and chewed up.

Thinking this, Chen Yang’s face turned slack and he threw up in fright as he muttered to himself, “How can this be? How can this be? Help! Help!”
