Chapter 165: Trial of Ascension
"Hmm? Food..." The old Grantoiran man thought for a moment before nodding his head. "On the first floor, there should be food stored using magic. No matter how much time has pa.s.sed, it will never go bad. But before you go, let me finish explaining things."
Hearing there was food, Kana was ready to bolt, but since the old Grantorian asked her to stay, she had no choice. "Please continue."
"Ahem… The first test was the stairs that you climbed in order to enter this building. The doors can not be opened unless you have stepped foot on every step leading to it. The stronger your power, the stronger the effects of the magic circle embedded into the stairs will get. The reasoning behind this test was to test your ability to endure and preserve to reach the goals you have laid out for yourself. The graveyard in front of the tower is the ones who have died trying to climb these stairs. But I am sure after all this time, they have already been turned into undead monsters. This test was needed to make sure the one who received the reward for the first trial could ender the process of breaking the system inside you to allow you to be able to use other elements. What elements you will be able to use is up to your own apt.i.tude. To explain more clearly, it could be said that someone who can wield fire magic only but still have the apt.i.tude to use earth magic, once the binds on the system are broken, they will be able to finally tap into that hidden talent. They will then be able to use earth skills.
"For someone like you who has the ability to use all elements but can only do so when your activate that element, you will be able to use those elements without needing to change your element. Your other forms will only serve to boost the power of that forms element." The old Grantorian explained.
Kana stared wide eyes at the old Grantorian man, confused as to how he knew what elements she was able to use and how her system worked since she knew hers was different from others. "How…?"
"There is nothing the system can hide from me. No matter who stood before me, I would be able to see their system and their stats without issue. You are one lucky girl who has been blessed by two G.o.ddesses. But the strange thing is your system. But I can see why. You evolved into a Baby Moon Fire Dragon. Your path to G.o.dhood or should I say G.o.ddesshood is already set in stone as long as you are able to survive." The old Grantoiran man was truly impressed by Kana"s stats.
"Can you tell me why a moon fire dragon is so special?" Kana asked. She had no knowledge of her own kind, and that was just general dragons, never mind a moon fire dragon. But from how the old Grantoiran was speaking, it seemed that moon fire dragons were special in some way.
"Mmm… To be honest, I do not know much myself. But what I do know is that moon fire dragons are very special and are known to be the mother of all dragons. They are able to evolve into many different kinds of dragons, some of the rarest and most powerful dragons in the universe, while retaining their birth evolution. As they evolve, new elements that most have never heard of begin to become available. Their only limit is having to change between these elements. But now, with you taking on this trial, you are able to break the binds baring you from using more than one element at a time.
"You could say that out of all dragons, you will become the most powerful dragon ever known to exist. Other than this, I do not know much more about moon fire dragons. I am not sure if even the dragon elders of this world would even know. There are only a few who have such knowledge since the moon fire dragon race disappeared long ago and the ability to evolve into one is not possible. Well, I guess that possibility was not zero." The old Grantoiran explained. His explanation shocked but also made Kana excited since she no longer had to switch elements to use the other magic elements.
"Dean William! We have a major issue!" A cow man ran into the dean"s office, breathing heavily. It was evident that he had rushed there.
Dean William lowered the papers in his hand and asked: "What is the problem?"
"Sir, the yellow magic realm we used for the outing was also used by the humans! Multiple of our young female students have been captured and are being subjected to… to… I do not even wish to speak of it… But the worst part, sir is that The Hero of Rural"s friend, Miss Kiliffia, was captured." the cow man explained.
Dean Williams" face fell. He knew how much Kana cared about those around her. She had delt easily with two high ranking n.o.ble families as if it was nothing, and the king even backed her up. Tapping his finger on his desk, Dean Willam tried to come up with a way to rectify the issue. "Have you sent men out to rescue them?"
"We tried, sir, but we were a step too late. The n.o.ble human child already left with over fifty of our female students, including Miss Kiliffia." The cow man had sweat forming on his brow. He knew that this was a huge issue! And it was his oversight that had allowed his own students to be in the same magic realm as the humans.
"I see… Which kingdom is this lecherous piece of s.h.i.+t human from?" Dean William"s anger began to rise. He wanted to kill that d.a.m.n human who touched his students!
"From what we have found out so far, he is from the Botus Empire, the royal line, the fifth prince Hermile Botus..." The cow man answered.
"Contact the king. We will need to see where to go from here… I have a feeling once that girl finds out about her friend, she will stop at nothing to retrieve her friend." Dean William let out a long sigh. "It seems another war is brewing."
