Chapter 851: Sick In The Head
On Ako"s side of things, she watched as the disciples in front of her fought each other as if they had gone crazy. Unlike Mei Ling, Ako did not care if they were fighting to see who could battle her. She actually sat down cross legged and placed her sword in her lap. She decided to just cultivate until things were finished and she could fight.
For Bell, it was a different story. The whole stage had become a blood bath. She stood on the stage, her chest heaving up and down as she yelled out: "So what if they"re small!?"
On Tim and Sara"s stages, the two were definitely brother and sister because they both decided to join the fun and began fighting in the brawl with everyone else. The battles went on for almost three hours before, finally, only one person still stood on each stage.
The announcer once again appeared in the middle of the battle stage platform. "The prelim and top one hundred have now been decided. All names have been added to the one versus one battles. And the list of battles is as so!"
The announcer raised his hand, causing a stream of spiritual qi to shoot up into the air creating a large tournament chart in the air. Everyone who had won the prelim battles began searching for their names. Mei Ling looked left and right, and after reading each name, she finally spotted hers "I am in the fifth battle! My opponent…. Is not someone I know…."
Pursing her lips, she jumped down off her stage and began walking back to the waiting area. She hoped she would actually get to fight in the next round. She also hoped she wouldn"t be scolded by her Mama for killing all those disciples. If it was her old self, she probably would have felt bad and maybe even have cried, but now she felt no emotion after taking so many lives. She only cared about her family members" lives, and that was it. It seemed her Big Sister Yana"s att.i.tude towards life, in general, had rubbed off on her.
However, she did notice that as she walked to the waiting area, everyone made way for her. It was as if they were trying to escape the plague with how quickly they moved away. She knew she messed up, but this shouldn"t cause those around her to despise her, right? Mei Ling pursed her lips more as she reached the waiting area. But she only got to take two steps in before a familiar scent filled her nose as she was pulled into a warm embrace. "You did well."
Kana had appeared in front of Mei Ling and hugged her tightly while stroking the back of her head. Her baby made a small mistake, but she still did very well. "Mama, you"re not mad?"
"Hmm? Why would I be mad? You didn"t do anything on purpose, right?" Kana asked as she looked Mei Ling in the eye.
"No…. But they only died because I forgot to hold back my power." Mei Ling lowered her head. She was told to hold back as much as possible, and she forgot.
Kana sighed and patted her head. "Don"t worry about it. The old men didn"t complain either, so there is no need to worry about things that no one is complaining about. While you should have held back, you are still getting used to your new strength, so accidents are bound to happen. Just try your best to hold back next time."
"Mmm… I will do my best." Mei Ling leaned into Kana like a kitten as she felt her head being patted. It was such a soothing sensation that it made all her worries disappear.
"Mama!" Bell ran over, covered in blood. She did not kill anyone, but she did beat everyone up to the point that they were just barely alive.
"Bell…." Kana looked at her daughter covered in blood and shook her head. She wanted to know when had her baby turned so violent. "What happened?"
"They said my chest was too small! Mama, my chest isn"t that small, right!?" Bell asked while patting her chest. Kana stared at her daughter and then looked down at herself and suddenly had the sudden urge to spank Bell.
"Yo-You are fine…." Kana reluctantly replied. Bell smiled brightly, feeling much better now.
"Master…." Ako walked over. And bowed her head.
"How was it, Ako?" Kana asked. She only had Ako join because Ako wanted to fight others besides Kana and Kana"s family.
"They talk too much. And like to yell out moves left and right. Master, why do they announce that they are going to do some kind of move instead of just doing it?" Ako had never seen so many idiots. Even while they all fought for the chance to fight her, they were shouting moves left and right as if it did something. And it was not even moves that needed activation keys like the stances that Yana uses of her Master"s magic, but simple sword swings. Like one person yelled out: "Super ultra mega triple a.s.sault!" Only for him to strike out three times, and he wasn"t even fast at it!
What angered her even more, was that the one who did face her went into some kind of strange monologue telling her some kind of backstory that she didn"t even care about. In the end, she walked up to the young man and punched him in the face sending him flying out of the battle stage. She felt…. Cheated! This place was supposed to have the best of the best, but they all just talked too much!
Kana chuckled and nodded her head. "Yeah, well… You will get used to it. Maybe the later fights will be better." Kana really did not want to tell Ako that she also says her moves out loud too. It was kind of infectious.
"Grandma!" Two voices came from behind Kana, she turned to see Tim and Sara walking up. "Grandma when we beat everyone up on stage they all seemed to be very happy about it. Are they sick in the head?"
