Chapter 879: Trouble In The Holyland Part 1
"Are we really going to do this? If Old Li finds out it was us, he will fight us to the death." An evil old goat asked. The Old Li he was talking about was Little An"s master, also known as the old goat.
"What choice do we have? He let in a divine beast into our sanctuary. As long as we dispose of both of them, we can easily handle the aftermath." Another evil old goat replied.
"He"s right. We have no choice. We can not let such a dangerous existence walk around freely in human territory. Not to mention she could be a spy altogether. We need to take her out before she reports anything back." A third evil goat replied.
"Mm… This was what I was thinking as well. Old Li is just stupid and bringing this upon himself. If he was smart, he wouldn"t have brought his own disciple into this. But he has, so he can only suffer the loss. The human race shall always be at the top of the food chain. Divine beasts are not allowed to stand above us." The first evil old goat replied.
"Then let us plan for when they leave the tower. It will make it easier for us to deal with them both and leave before anyone would know what happens." The second evil old goat suggested.
The other two nodded their heads agreeing with him. They then began planning out how they would execute their plans.
--
"Hmmm? Why are you lying on the floor?" Kana asked as she looked at the old goat.
"Ahem… I tripped on my robe just now." The old goat replied while trying to hide his embarra.s.sment.
"I see. But still, people in this world really like these robes. They should wear something easier to move in. Like my clothes. I never trip over anything." Kana never understood why everyone on this planet loved robes. It made no sense to her whatsoever.
"Ahem… it is because they are easier to make." The old goat replied as he adjusted himself. "I suggest staying here for the night. If you need anything, just ask, I will go get it."
"Then can you get me some meat? I have only eaten fish for the past few days. I would like some real meat for once." Kana was dying for some real meat. She went from cultivating for over a hundred years to flying out to the Mainland. She only ate the sea demonic beasts that tasted very fishy, which isn"t her favorite thing.
"I will get you the best meat the Holyland has to offer." The old goat replied with a smile. He then turned and took his leave. He wanted to get the meat the G.o.ddess wanted right away. Kana could only stare at his retreating back with a bit of drool hanging from her lip.
"I guess you will be staying with me tonight." Little An held her head. "There are only two rooms in this place for living, and each room is taken."
"It"s fine. We can sit and chat." Kana replied with a smile causing Little An to smile as well.
That night Kana stuffed her belly with some of the best meat she had had in a while. She then pa.s.sed out on Little An"s bed while the two were chatting with Little An lying next to her.
The old goat meanwhile stayed awake watching over everything. He wanted to make sure no one tried anything while Kana slept. But he was glad his disciple and Kana got along so well. If not, things might not have gone so smoothly. But he also realized that Kana was very friendly. A little too friendly for someone who lived in a world of cultivation. He wondered just why she was the way she was.
The next day came without issue. Kana was now getting ready to head out with Little An. "Little An, take this. While you do have my soul mark on you, this is to be used before you sustain life threatening damage."
Kana watched as the old goat handed over a white stone of some kind. She had no idea what it was used for, nor did she care. She just wanted to get some souvenirs and would head home afterward.
When she left the tower the two walked out onto the busy streets of the city. Many cultivators with high cultivation walked around with their heads held high. This place was like a city of n.o.bles who all thought they were better than the next person. Kana could feel this kind of vibe in the air as she walked down the street. Of course, she was met with many gazes filled with hatred as well but she ignored them because there was nothing those kinds of people could even do to her.
When she walked up to the first stand, the middle aged man manning it, eyes were cold as ice. "I don"t serve you d.a.m.n beasts!"
"Shut your mouth! She is a guest of my Master!" Little An yelled out as she glared at the middle aged man. The middle aged man looked Little An over and when he saw the emblem on her robes he suddenly dropped to his knees. "I was hasty with my words. Please forgive me!"
"Little An, don"t make such a scary face the old man will have a heart attack," Kana said with a chuckle. "Hey, sir, do you have anything unique that can only be found here at the Holyland?"
The middled aged man raised his head and looked at Kana and then at Little An, who had turned her head away and sighed in relief. He quickly stood up and began looking through his goods. "This here! These are all custom made by me. Although theory might not be all that useful."
Kana pursed her lip and looked at the jade hair clips. She could see that the man had put a lot of care and effort into the craftsmans.h.i.+p. "How many do you have?"
"I have ten in total…." The middle aged man looked at Kana with a bit of hope that she might buy his wares. He had tried to sell them before but no one seemed to want to buy anything he personally made.
"I will take them all, how much?"
