Chapter 395: Earth
"By the way, what are these swords, Creige? They look really good." Kana asked. She had remembered Creige putting down three swords earlier. She knew who they were for but wanted to make it a surprise.
Luckily Creige understood what Kana was getting at by her words and smiled as he looked at the three girls. "You girls do not have weapons yet, so I made you some special swords with some of the rare materials found in the realm of G.o.ds. Each sword needs a drop of your blood to bind it to you. Once bound, it will turn into a ray of light and form a special sword tattoo on your hands. You can then summon it and de-summon it at will. Come let"s get them bound to you first before I go over all its functions."
"Yay! Sword!" Rain and Angelica yelled out. Yana, on the other hand, was not as excited, but she was more of the bookworm type.
Kana watched the girls go through the binding process with a smile on her face. Those swords were indeed special. She could tell right away that Creige had put a lot of thought into them. Not only did it give the girls a small regeneration effect so that they will heal a little, but it also had two other options forged into them. The first was a small defensive array to block an attack that would kill them, and the other was a teleport function that would teleport them straight back to the house. These two were both triggered when the girls were on the verge of death. By having these three abilities in a weapon bound to them. Even if they were to let go of their sword, they would still receive its effects. And the combination was perfect. After being hit by a blow that would kill them and then teleporting them away, the regeneration effect would allow them to slowly begin healing, keeping them from dying afterward.
Eie flew up and perched on Kana"s shoulder as she looked at the scene in front of her. "You two are really good parents."
"We try to be. I may not be the most experienced mother in the world, but I will never let harm come to my babies ever again, even if I must die to save them. This is why I am working hard to ensure their safety now just in case anything happens in the future." Kana explained. Just the thought of when she almost lost her babies at that time made her realize how much she still needed to learn.
Eie heard the words ever again and knew something must have happened, but she did not pry. But she did have one question that came to mind. "This world doesn"t seem to have much technology or any at all for that matter. Can I ask how you know so much about it? I mean, earlier, you seemed to understand what my projector was doing."
"Hmm? Well, first, it didn"t take a genius to know what was going on, and second, it is because I am not from this world. Or I should say I am supposed to be from this world, but I was originally born on another world by mistake. It probably sounds confusing, so do not look too much into it. Just know that I once lived in a place where no magic existed, and science ruled."
Eie.s eyes opened wide, her hands trembling as she clenched her little fist. "Can I ask if that place was called Earth?"
"Hmm? You know of Earth?" Kana asked, feeling a bit stunned.
"Do I know it! I was originally from there!" Eie yelled out. She never thought she would ever meet someone else from Earth!
"Then how did you come to be like you are now?" Kana was confused because she knew Earth didn"t have any b.u.t.terfly people when she lived there unless things had changed drastically since the time she was there, which could be a big possibility.
"It"s like this..." Eie went and explained everything to Kana about what happened. For the first time since she left Earth, she was able to finally tell someone about her true self. She could feel a weight being lifted off her shoulders.
After hearing Eie"s story, Kana fell into deep thought. She would do anything she could as well to get back to her babies, even if it took millions upon millions of years to do so. Until the day she finally died, she would keep trying. "We might be able to open up a portal to Earth at some point, but Earth is a planet without magic… So I am not sure if you go that you can return. As a being such as yourself, you may need magic to live. The same goes for me. And I do not think there is any magic on earth."
Hearing Kana"s words made Eie"s mood gloomy, that was until she heard what Kana said after. "But, this doesn"t mean we can not send a probe to do readings. I know the academy back in the mortal realm does that when they are inspecting magical realms, they opened up. They send in some probs using magic to figure out the composition of the world that lies beyond the portal. So we would have to make something like that anyway so if one day we do open a portal to earth why not make something that can search for your son? We can then send it along with a message."
"This… This is a good idea! Kana you are a genius! But how are we going to make a portal? I do know the basic functions of creating one but the materials needed to just use it once is huge, not to mention they are rare." Eie"s little brain was turning, she wished there was a way to get an infinite amount of resources. But that was when something clicked in her head. "Wait, how did you make a portal to my world?"
"Oh that? I just created one using magic. But you guys seemed to have snagged it on your side so before I make one again We will need a way to prevent anything coming through without our permission."
