Chapter 774: A New Door Ornament
"No, please! I will never do anything wrong again, I swear!" Elder Ye was so frightened that even though he was in his soul form, he still soiled his pants.
"Regret is not something you can just wash away. Since you dared to do it, you should have been ready for what was to come. My family is not to be touched. No one is allowed to harm my family." Kana reached up and pulled a bit of the black flame in her hand off and flicked it with her finger. The flame flew through the air and landed on Elder Ye.
"Ahhhh! It burns! It burns! Just kill me!" Elder Ye had only withstood the flame for a fraction of a second before he began screaming out loud. The people in the treasure pavilion all s.h.i.+vered in fear. Even if they could lift their heads, they would not dare to do so. They all came to the same conclusion: Stay away from Kana and her family, or else you might end up like Elder Ye.
Elder Ye"s soul burned in the flame as he let out horrific screams of pain for almost ten minutes before finally going quiet. Kana watched as he had a peaceful expression on his face knowing his soul was about to disappear. He seemed to have forgotten that Kana said that he would never truly die. He would only experience death before being resurrected once more.
Not even a second went by when the sound of Elder Ye"s screams filled the pavilion once more. Kana stood there with a cold expression looking at the soul withering in pain. She felt no sympathy for this man. He not only tried to kill her but also hurt her handsome husband.
"Mama, he"s loud…." Rain walked over with pursed lips. Kana nodded, agreeing. This Elder Ye was not even trying to withstand the pain he was just screaming nonstop.
"I do not understand how someone who could not resist the pain for even a split second dared to try to commit so many evil deeds. But this screaming is just too much…." Kana frowned, she did not know what to do with him.
"Mama." Rain pulled on Kana"s arm, causing Kana to look at her. She watched as Rain lifted her hand and extended her index finger, pointing it at Elder Ye. "I will put him in a void of time. Not only will he be burned and revived, but he will experience the pain a million fold within the void. I will split the void into multiple dimensions and have them all connected to one. If I then crystalize the void and shrink it, we can make a trinket."
"Rain you? You can still use your powers!? I thought they were sealed." Yana yelled out in surprise. She felt it was completely unfair! Her control over gravity was completely sealed off!
"Mmm…. I think it is because I am kind of like Angelica. I think there are spirits in this world as well. And I think there are also those who can control time and s.p.a.ce in this world. So in a way, I am not sealed off by this world"s heavenly laws." Rain was correct in her a.s.sumptions. The world of cultivation was vast, and there were spirit beasts in the world that were simpler to Rain. There were also techniques that used time and s.p.a.ce to unleash attacks.
So she was able to use her powers at will. She was just more low key. Unlike when she was younger, she no longer liked to show off. And after spending so many years in the void, she had grown to be more isolated from the rest of the world.
"So unfair!" Yana pouted, not realizing she was basically still on par with them because she still could use her sword without issue.
"Now, now. Yana, you just need to cultivate hard and become stronger so you can break part of your seal." Kana sighed and rubbed Yana"s head. She then looked at Rain and smiled warmly. "Go ahead. We will make him a door ornament outside our immortal cave."
"Mmm…" Rain smiled and nodded. She then sent out a black ball that distorted the air around it. When it reached Elder Ye, it opened up as if it was a mouth and swallowed him whole. The black ball then turned clear and began to crystallize, revealing multiple Elder Ye"s souls inside that were all burning in the black flame. Rain motioned with her finger, and the crystal ball floated over to her hand, landing in the flat of her palm. Rain then turned to Kana and handed it to her. "Here you go, Mama."
"Thank you, baby!" Kana smiled and hugged Rain, rubbing her cheek on Rain"s cheek. Rain blushed but did not try to push Kana away. This was her mother"s warmth. Something she truly missed all these years.
With everything settled, Kana returned to her body, causing the pressure in the air to finally subside. Kana"s eyes fluttered, and with Creige"s help, she stood back up. The sect master had a strange expression on his face as he looked at Kana and the crystal ball in her hand that showed Elder Ye suffering in the endless cycle of burning to death and then reviving.
"Kana, are you really going to put that on the door to your immortal cave?" The sect master could not help but ask. He felt that it was quite a terrifying thing to put on one"s front door.
"Hmmm? Why not? My baby made it for me, so I will display it for all to see." Kana said proudly. She would always show off the things her daughters made her!
Kana"s words made the sect master speechless. He had no idea how to reply to that. Wasn"t this doting mother a bit too much!? He, of course, would not say anything against it. He also felt that maybe it would be a good reminder to those who would go to cause her trouble. "Then I will have some people stop by later to set it into the door for you."
