Chapter 785: Outside The Mystic Realm Part 1
Once Kana was healed enough to move, she opened her eyes and stood up. Elder Ning looked at Kana, who was struggling to stand on one foot and frowned. "All set? What about your leg?"
"It will heal in time. I already expelled all the devil qi. Luckily tribulation lightning seemed to be very useful for that." Kana replied with a smile. The hole in her leg did stop bleeding, but it still had a while before it would fully heal. Kana wrapped it up to keep things out of it before looking towards the east. "I want to reach the mystic realm before it opens."
Elder Ning thought for a moment before pulling out an item from his storage ring. It was a small wooden boat. But after he tossed it out in front of him, it grew to be five times the size of Kana. "Come, with your leg like that, if you run into a demonic beast at this time, it will be hard for you to fight properly. I will say you should wait for it to be fully healed, but I know you will tell me you want to go anyways, so I can only suggest that you heal up as much as possible now. If we leave here now, we will arrive a week early before the mystic realm opens. It should be enough time for you to make a decent recovery."
Elder Ning was truly worried someone would try to take advantage of Kana"s injury, or she would run into a demon beast that she would need to run from. Kana smiled and nodded her head. She stepped on air and hopped onto the deck of the flying wooden boat. Elder Ning followed her up. "Elder Ning, I thank you for this…."
"It is no problem. You are the future of our sect. Even though you will sooner or later leave, you are still the s.h.i.+ning star of our sect. The sect master also thinks highly of you as well. As long as you are in Moon Crest Academy, we will do what we can to a.s.sist you." Elder Ning said while sending his spirit power into the wooden boat, making it lift off the ground and begin flying off towards the east.
Kana felt lucky she had met such kind people. If she had not run into Nana and the rest when she first came to this world, she would not be where she was today. While she never planned to be friends with so many people. She has come to care for those she sees as friends and would protect them with her life.
A few days later, they arrived at a large clearing near a rocky outcropping deep in the forest. There were already many cultivators here. Kana had never seen so many cultivators from other sects before. She had seen a few here and there but not this many. There was also a distinct line between two groups. One side was devil cultivators, while the other side was the righteous path of which Kana was part of.
"Elder Ning, why are there so many devil cultivators here?" Kana asked, her nose wrinkling. She already despised devil cultivators with a pa.s.sion and wondered why they would be allowed to roam around at this time.
"This is something you will need to get used to. The world is full of places where both sides will face off to get as many treasures as they can. This mystic realm is one of those places. They will also send in their own disciples to get as many resources as they can to supplement their cultivation. Because they knew there would be many core formation elders here, they also sent their core formation elders. This keeps both sides in check. No side is willing to begin fighting when the results would be a b.l.o.o.d.y battle, and no one knows what the outcome will be." Elder Ning explained.
"What if I reaped their souls?" Kana tilted her head. Her eyes said it all. She was dead serious.
"If you did that, you would be hunted down by more than just the devil cultivators." Elder Ning smiled bitterly. If she exposed her strength here, even those of the righteous path would see her as a threat. "Don"t use your soul unless it is absolutely necessary."
"Alright." Kana pursed her lips. She understood what Elder Ning was getting at.
The wooden boat landed, and both Kana and Elder Ning jumped down. Everyone looked over at Kana and wondered why a peak qi condensation realm cultivator was doing here. Everyone else was at least in the foundation establishment realm. It was said that this mystic realm had a cultivation realm restriction. That those who enter must be from the foundation establishment and below.
Kana ignored the strange gazes and found a quiet spot by a rock to sit before fis.h.i.+ng out some healing pills and taking them. She knew she would need to be in top form now, seeing that the devil cultivators were also here. Elder Ning stood beside her to guard her. But not long after she began circulating her spiritual qi, an old man with a white beard walked up with a young man following behind him.
"Haha, Elder Ning! Long time no see. Is this one of your disciples?" The white bearded old man eyed Kana. He scanned her up and down and was quite surprised to see that she had quite a few injuries. Her leg being the worst of it. "Looks like you ran into trouble."
Elder Ning snorted as he answered: "Trouble? That b.a.s.t.a.r.d Di Sang actually tried to a.s.sa.s.sinate her."
"Di Sang? Didn"t he suffer a huge blow to his soul, and his cultivation dropped to the peak of foundation establishment? Why would he be out and about?" The white bearded old man found this to be strange.
"How would I know? As soon as he saw my disciple, he attacked her. Luckily my disciple is capable and was easily able to get rid of the old man." Elder Ning lied about not knowing but his words still shocked the white bearded old man.
After a moment of shock, the white bearded old man let out a loud laugh: "Interesting! To think that old goat died to a junior! Hahahaha!"
