"Are you okay?" A voice came from the man holding her, and she looked up to see who it was.A familiar but long forgotten face came in her view.
"Steve," she said absentmindedly.
His eyes were fixed on her face for a while then slowly moved to her belly which she was caressing a moment ago.
"She is pregnant," he thought.
They stood silent for a long time.
She thought to herself, "How can he be here? Shouldn"t he be in the USA like my past life?"
"Ira," Steve called out to her. His words were low and carrying a hint of pain.
The man was Steve Owen. He was the only person who saw her when she was the most vulnerable in both her lifetimes. He had seen her losing her composure and act like a weak, pitiful woman.
Her mind was blank for a moment over his sudden appearance. However, soon discovering that she was still in his arms she stood up and took a few steps back.
"Ira, you are here." the words from Reeya broke the awkward atmosphere.
"I was looking for you. Come." Reeya said the words and pulled Ira back to the compartment.
Steve"s eyes were still on the woman"s back who made a turn and disappeared from his sight. But he was still looking at the same direction for a long time.
"Reeya, I don"t feel well. I should go back." Ira said. She wished to get out of this place as soon as possible.
Reeya said, pulling and waving her hand. "Okay, I will come with you." She picked up her handbag and was ready to leave.
"No! You have just got here. I can leave on my own. You enjoy the party." Ira, who was walking by, paused and said to Reeya in a concerned voice: "Don"t go on dangerous missions. Take care of yourself first."
Reeya was visibly stunned by Ira"s word, and with smiling eyes, she replied: "Yes, I will."
Even though there was a time for the incident, Ira now felt insecure seeing the person who shouldn"t have appeared before her this early in life.
"Is it b.u.t.terfly effect. Will the future change?" Her mind was in a mess like a chaotic sea in a storm.
When Ira was ready to go out, it was only then she remembered that Vivan seemed to ask her to wait for him to pick her up.
However, this place was a long way from her home. Even if she called him now, he would not arrive in time.
At the hotel gate, she was considering leaving by herself in a cab.
When she was still thinking about whether or not to call Vivan, a black Bentley appeared in the front of her eyes.
Then she saw a man in a formal dress with a suit and tie, walked down from the driver"s seat. He looked at her and smiled then just said two words: "Come here."
