Reborn As A Mom

Chapter 78

"A walk through" ceremony with uniformed members and dignitaries pa.s.sing by the casket one by one. Each firefighter stopped briefly at the casket, wearing his hat again and giving her a salute, to pay tribute to the deceased hero.

Many fires shot in the air by rows of armed men to honor the dead.

The funky, full of life but frank and outspoken girl was no more. Ira was crying that day. Her thoughts entirely made of the girl, her teasing and their conversations. It was unusual for girls to talk to Ira even after being ignored by her. They became friends due to Reeya"s att.i.tude and her clingy nature.

"Ira, Are you still thinking about your kiss?" waving her hand in front of her face, Reeya smirked.

"Red, You haven"t changed a bit. Always speaking rubbish." Walking up from the memories, she replied, however, can"t help but blush at her words.

"I will think about the kiss for eternity." she deliberately teased Ira.
The kiss was truly deserving a praise, while others removed their gazes. She was only one who watched it shamelessly.

Slapping her head "Bad Girl, I am your senior, Where are your manners?"

"Look at you; I can"t recognize you anymore." Reeya was more astonished at Ira"s att.i.tude. Yes, she was a friend but one with a very few words.

"Marriage and a kid made me calm and sensible. You should try that too maybe it would make you sane." Ira enlightened the girl.

Reeya added in a faint murmur "and shameless too."

Thankfully Ira didn"t hear that.

"So, How is your life? Met someone new." Ira wanted to know more about her.

"Kinda. Wait how did you know I broke up with Victor." Reeya was doubtful "Has the news of my breakup spread so fast? "

"So it was true, I made a random guess. Victor was never worthy of you." Ira corrected her words.

It was not a random guess. Years after the incident of her death, a biographic movie was made on this female firefighter, which displayed her miserable love life. The Man she trusted for five years was already married with a kid.

It displayed her pitiful life, with her father"s death at a young age, similarly as a firefighter in the line of his duty. Carrying his dream on her shoulders, she saved many. Though at last, her luck seemed to have vanished. She died a heroic death.
Her name remembered by many.

Even if one is remembered after death by many, death is always a cruel end.

What is the use of being known after your death?

Do we even have a conscience after death?

Would you choose life or a heroic death?

Life is the truth — Life after death: an illusion.

"I should save her" Ira decided.

"Can I save her?" Ira questioned herself.
