27 Become Our Consort

Outside a dense forest, an entourage of well-equipped guards and palace maids in palace uniform came. At the very front, striding stop a tall broad horse was a middle-aged man dressed in bright yellow brocade robes. This man was Hua empire’s Emperor Hua Mu Tian.

Hua empire’s emperor had a square face with thick eyebrows that were slightly raised. Bright eyes like black gemstones burned their gaze into the dense forest, flas.h.i.+ng with a hint of interest. A tall straight nose that was already starting to bead with sweat on the bridge of it. Lips tightly pursed surrounded by a dark stubble that appears as if it has been shaved off not long ago. His face showed a hint of tiredness, the cause due to being too l.u.s.tful but overall he appeared full of energy and gave off the air of danger and overbearingness.

Feng Yi Xuan carried Lan You Nian as he stood on the tallest tree in the forest. The thick tree leaves blocked the two’s figures from sight but the two were able to a.s.sess the situation below. Lan You Nian dully leaned against Feng Yi Xuan’s chest to watch as the Emperor rode astride his steed, shooting arrows. She yawned, “This Hua empire’s Emperor really gives people a feeling of discomfort.”

Right below the very tree they were in, Hua Mu Qing was embracing a palace maid dressed in a pink palace uniform as he hunted on horseback, some sleazy sounds coming from his mouth and his hands were cruising all over the palace maid’s body without any scruples.

“Can’t kill him at the moment!” Feng Yi Xuan took a glance at the disgusting scene below before returning his gaze to Nian Nian. If it wasn’t because they owed it to Hua Xiu Yi, he wouldn’t bring Nian Nian to see such a disgusting sight. Feng Yi Xuan really felt there must be some strife between him and Hua Xiu Yi. In the past, the two of them were princes of empires that many people praised and feared. Afterwards, on the battlefield the two were evenly matched opponents. Later, because of Nian Nian, he owed Hua Xiu Yi two favors. Though favors were nothing to him, Hua Xiu Yi’s actions have greatly pleased Feng Yi Xuan. Because Hua Xiu Yi didn’t think about possessing or coveting Nian Nian, Feng Yi Xuan was in the good mood to help him.

“It wouldn’t be us who should kill him. What a waste of time and means!” Lan You Nian said flippantly. Though she disliked this Hua empire’s Emperor, perhaps it was just eye-affinity, though from first sight she didn’t like Hua Xiu Yi, neither did she find him loathsome, but this Hua Mu Tian gave her a loathsome and disgusting feeling. The one who should handle this was Hua Xiu Yi. She won’t let Feng Yi Xuan do such thankless deeds.

“Your Majesty, don’t…” The palace maid dodged fearfully. The guards and such were already loitering around the outer circle of the forest. His Majesty often had matters to handle and they needed to withdraw. The palace maid in Hua Mu Tian’s arms was trembling all over. She has always lived cautiously in the imperial palace and did her duties. She didn’t expect the Emperor to take a fancy to her and bring her to attend the hunt. She had a childhood fiance in her hometown. She was planning to wait until she reached the age limit and leave the palace to marry him. But it seems her innocence was no longer safe.

Hua Mu Tian threw the palace maid off the horse. He jumped off the horse and stepped on the palace maid’s chest with his foot. He bent over and squeezed the palace maid’s neck demanding, “Don’t want?” Which one of Hua Mu Tian’s consorts didn’t obey him and fawn over him? Even if they said “no” on their lips, their body was still seducing him. But this palace maid had the guts to resist him. This made Hua Mu Tian who was at the height of his l.u.s.t angry.

“Your Majesty, I beg your majesty to let this humble slave go!” the palace maid bore the pain in her throat as she begged for mercy but her pleadings only made Hua Mu Tian angrier. Hua Mu Tian shouted, summoning those guards and then threw the palace maid at them, “This s.l.u.t, this one gifts her to you!”

Hua Mu Tian then mounted his horse and entered the thickness of the forest and scolded those guards who wanted to follow. He wanted to vent the anger caused by that lowly palace maid. He’s sat upon the throne for many years and hasn’t met a woman that dared to challenge him. This woman made him think of that disobedient son.

The palace maid was surrounded by those guards who were going to rip open her clothes. The palace maid looked with despair at them and smashed her head against the rock walls of the forest, immediately dying. Without blinking an eye, those guards returned to their post to patrol. The corpse on the ground slowly turned cold.

Feng Yi Xuan and Lan You Nian watched the tragic scene below without any opinions. They weren’t good people, so naturally, they wouldn’t ruin their own plans for a stranger. This girl made Lan You Nian feel shamed. In Lan You Nian’s eyes, since this palace maid committed suicide without even fighting back or running away, then she deserved to die. Don’t call her cold-blooded but she, Lan You Nian, has always been cold-blooded.

“An San should be ready. We originally planned to lure this Emperor over but now he went himself. It saves us the trouble!” Lan You Nian smiled. They planned to lure Hua Mu Tian into the dense forest and didn’t expect such an event to happen.

“Want to go see?” They didn’t have to come today but Nian Nian was bored and wanted to see the drama. Feng Yi Xuan was happy to accompany her so the two came to the forest.

“Of course. I taught An San so many tricks. If she doesn’t do well, you don’t have to give her her salary!” Lan You Nian pouted. To make An San get rid of her tomboyish habits, she taught An San several times before making her appear somewhat normal.

“Alright, whatever you say!” Feng Yi Xuan wasn’t even conscious that he sold off his own subordinate.

Hua Mu Tian rode his horse and saw a white rabbit. Taking up the bow, Hua Mu Tian prepared to shoot at the white rabbit, but at this moment, the horse under him suddenly went mad for some unknown reason and threw Hua Mu Tian off. Coincidentally Hua Mu Tian crashed into a hard rock, nearly fainting over.

Hua Mu Tian looked at his legs that were motionless from the fall and prepared to take out the signal he carried to let the guards come over but at this moment a woman dressed in pink and carrying a medicine basket on her back appeared from within the forest. There’s no need to suspect for this woman was An San.

After much discussion, they thought of this way of making her appearance. The gorgeous clothes Lan You Nian had prepared for An San weren’t of any use but fortunately makeup was still needed.

An San wore a pink outfit that was slightly faded from was.h.i.+ng and had two braids that Lan You Nian deliberately styled for her which made her appear lively and cute, paired with An San’s hot body and inadvertent seduction, she was even more alluring. Even Hua Mu Tian who was used to seeing beauty was dazed.

“Young master? What’s wrong?” An San’s voice was lowered and pinched her own voice, making it sound sweet but it made Lan You Nian shudder on the branch. Hiding in the shadows, An Yi and San Si also had gooseb.u.mps. They felt such an An San was even scarier.

Hua Mu Tian felt his feelings stir as he looked at the woman, his eyes were practically stuck to An San. As an Emperor, he’s seen a lot of beauties but those beauties were offered up by his ministers and were all dressed up beautifully. None of them were dressed purely and still such an alluring air. In an instant, Hua Mu Tian put the signal back. Though he was a lover of beauty, he was aware of the dangers to his life. On the outside was his guards, so there wasn’t any danger. If this woman wanted to kill him, she would already make her move.

“This one…uh..this young master was hunting and fell off the horse by accident!” Hua Mu Tian’s face turned pleasant when facing beauty. He didn’t even consider his own age yet he still called himself a young master, an uncle was more like it.

“Why were you so careless?” An San hastily came over to Hua Mu Tian’s side and her eyes turned red from seeing the blood on Hua Mu Tian’s leg, “My family picks medicine. I know some medical knowledge. If young master trust this girl, this humble girl will take a look for young master?”

Hua Mu Tian has seen plenty of false concern by his consorts and ministers yet this woman he has never met was so kind and caring towards him, Hua Mu Tian felt something different inside. This feeling of being cared for was wonderful. He was no longer the emperor who needed to be suspicious of everything.

“Of course. I’ll have to bother the young lady!” Hua Mu Tian said. It’s been a long time since he’s been so polite with anyone but occasionally it was something different.

An San blushed and looked over Hua Mu Tian’s injury but in actuality, she was vomiting blood inside. She wasn’t really blus.h.i.+ng. She pinched her thigh and her face turned red from the pain.

“Young master’s injury isn’t serious and is just a flesh wound. Fortunately, this girl picked some herbs that can stop the bleeding! Young master, bear it a little and let this girl apply the medicine!” An San put the herbal compress onto Hua Mu Tian’s injury. Seeing Hua Mu Tian pained look, An San very virtuously comforted him which made Hua Mu Tian’s thoughts even more prominent. He must have this woman enter the palace. This woman was like a clean spring.

“Thanks young lady. This young master’s leg seems much better!” Hua Mu Tian felt his favor of this woman rise as he looked at the leg that already stopped bleeding, “I haven’t asked for the young lady’s name yet? What is young lady called?”

An San’s cheeks became pale and then with embarra.s.sment said, “This girl’s family is poor. My father and mother have long pa.s.sed and didn’t give this girl a name. Because I am ranked third in the family, those in the neighborhood call this girl San’er.”

Seeing the beauty upset, Hua Mu Tian’s l.u.s.tful heart ached even more. Such a poor yet kind girl, Hua Mu Tian felt the palace lacked such a woman. She wasn’t like those consorts in the palace who only knew to fight for imperial favor.

“Miss San’er don’t be upset…” Hua Mu Tian comforted.

“It’s late, there are many wild beasts in the forest. This girl will help young master leave!” An San can’t stand Hua Mu Tian’s gaze. If it wasn’t for master’s plan, she would have thrown a fist and wouldn’t waste her breath.

“alright, many thanks for the young lady!” An San helped Hua Mu Tian up. She was clearly able to do it easily but still pretended as if it was strenuous for her as her forehead beaded with sweat. Her kind nature made Hua Mu Tian’s eyes light up.

When An San was about to burst with fury, they finally walked out of the forest. As soon as they came out, they saw several troops of guards. An San fearfully trembled. Those guards and ministers seeing His Majesty appeared hurt hastily came over to inquire and pushed An San to the ground.

“b.a.s.t.a.r.d! Leave!” Hua Mu Tian shouted in fury. He usually didn’t feel these people were bothersome but now realized they were truly annoying. Hua Mu Tian came over to An San and helped her up, “Miss San’er, are you alright?”

He didn’t expect the woman who showed such great concern for him along the way now dodged him. Hua Mu Tian asked in confusion, “Miss San’er, what’s wrong?” If it wasn’t because he was truly interested in the woman, just based on the woman’s move, he would have killed her.

“You’re the Emperor?” An San asked faintly.

Hua Mu Tian remembered those people’s address of him and knew his ident.i.ty was exposed. However, usually if people knew he was the Emperor, they would fawn over him but this girl evaded him. This woman was truly different and wasn’t greedy for power. Hua Mu Tian’s voice softened, “Yes, This one is Hua empire’s Emperor!”

“Greetings to the Emperor!” An San kowtowed and said hastily, “This girl will retreat!” And prepared to leave. Her expression like a frightened rabbit made Hua Mu Tian unwilling to part and hugged An San, “San’er, this one likes you, become this one’s consort?”

“Ah?” An San seemed to be frightened, “No, no, I…this girl’s ident.i.ty is lowly, how can I tarnish the dragon’s face?” Saying this, she prepared to leave but didn’t have as much strength as Hua Mu Tian.

“San’er, you are truly kind. This one says you’re his consort, then you’re his consort!” Then he hugged An San onto the carriage and left the forest.

“This Hua Mu Tian isn’t stupid,” Though Hua Mu Tian was injured, he was able to walk. From this Lan You Nian knew Hua Mu Tian was merely pretending. If An San was an a.s.sa.s.sin, Hua Mu Tian would give a fight.

“To sit on the throne, how can he be careless?” Feng Yi Xuan said flippantly and carried Lan You Nian as they left the forest.
