Searching For You

Chapter 149

"Hue Houa."

Little Superglue froze just from hearing uncle Pao Hua called his name. He turned to look at his uncle, "Yes, I"m listening." He thought that his uncle called him because he was being restless and he might be in trouble.

Pao Hua cleared his throat and inched closer to his nephew. "Uncle just want to let you know, mommy does not remember you or Uncle Pao Hua."

Little Superglue irked his brows, "Does not remember?"

"Yes, mommy is sick, she does not remember Hue Houa. So, Hue Houa will have to be patience, be good and maybe later when mommy gets better, mommy will remember Hue Houa. Don"t be mad, don"t be sad at mommy if mommy doesn"t know you." Pao Hua explained.

"Ok, I will be good, I will not get mad and will help get mommy to feel better." Little Superglue replied with a serious expression like he"s a mature adult.

Back at Mua Kong"s quarter, Elder Mae walked out carrying the food Hli Ja couldn"t finish.

Mua Kong was already outside waiting spending the last 30 minutes thinking of how to converse with her. He spent the last two and a half weeks of traveling back to the palace letting her get used to him. He didn"t rush her, gave her plenty of s.p.a.ce and time for Hli Ja to just be comfortable around him. He hoped his actions would slowly make her trust him and allowed him to open the path to her past. But the whole time, she didn"t ask him much or she seemed hesitant to know her past. He knew he could only drag that on for so long and now he has to slowly tell her about herself so she"s not freaked out when her son throws himself at her.

Hli Ja looked around the room experiencing déjà vu as if she had seen all the items, the walls, the curtains and layout of the room previously. Her eyes studied the room, one area at a time feeling fidgety trying to recall the familiarity experience.

After Elder Mae left out of sight, Mua Kong enters their sleeping quarter. Seeing him shut the door closed, Hli Ja tensed up a little, wondering what he wants. She pulled her shirt collars tighter while trying to clear her throat. "You don"t have to worry, there is no way I can escape this place with the amount of bodyguards you have on guard."

He looked at her feeling uncertained, "I just want to talk."

Hli Ja relaxed her body gesture after he said he wanted to talk. "Well, I don"t have anything to talk to you."

"Well… I have a lot." Mua Kong replied while gazing at her full of endearments.

Hli Ja"s heart tensed up as if she"s experiencing déjà vu from the look he gave her. She spent a moment to find some courage, she muttered. "Do we really know each other?" As much as she wants to deny the answer of her past, the way he"s been treating her is not like how one would treat a prisoner of war. Mua Kong treated her as if she is someone very important to him. Could she trust him? If she"s going to be locked up in his palace, she should lay down terms with him.

"Mm... we do." Mua Kong replied.

"Then who am I?" She asked.

He locked his gaze on her, took small steps towards her, and with each step, he spoke in a soft gentle tone, "My world, my heart, my life." Before long, he was in front of her giving off the vibes of preciousness.

Although the current Hli Ja does not know Mua Kong, just hearing those soft-spoken replies from him clenched her heart like she has been longing to hear them. Without her consent, tears swelled in her eyes and a few drops down her cheeks. Hli Ja stood frozen like an idiot who cried for no reasons.
