Searching For You

Chapter 21

Scene two:

In a little hut deep in the mountain, the little girl was sleeping on a wooden bed next to a wall. She opened her eyes and slowly blanked a few times. It took a few seconds for her blurry vision to adjust. When her vision became clear, she glanced around the room but she was not familiar with the surrounding. Knowing that she is alive and not dead, she pulled herself up looking around trying to figure out where she was. The little girl stood up from the bed and walked out from the small room to the next room. The stove was on but there was no one around, maybe they could be nearby? It was then she heard noises coming from outside. The girl walked outside and saw an elderly woman hauling a log to the little shed.

The elderly woman saw the girl standing in front of the door, "You"re awake? Go inside and have some stew."

Inside the hut, the elderly lady scooped a bowl of stew and handed over to the little girl, "Eat it all up."

The little girl reached her hand to receive the bowl, "Ah, thank you." She looked down at the bowl on her hand with a solemn face and a glint of sadness in her eyes, she continued, "And... thank you for saving me."

The elderly woman glanced at the little girl for a brief moment and muttered, "Hmm.. If you don"t have any place to go, you may stay here with me."

Scene three: On the screen, the word "One year later" appeared.

Deep into the mountain, a boy and his bodyguard was running away from some a.s.sa.s.sins. The a.s.sa.s.sins were closing in on them and soon they were surrounded. The boy unsheathed the sword he had on him and went on defense mode. The a.s.sa.s.sins charged in, the bodyguard blocked the sword that was aiming for the boy. Once he knocked the sword off he shifted his sword to aim for the a.s.sa.s.sin. The a.s.sa.s.sin backed away and at this time, four a.s.sa.s.sins charged in towards the bodyguard. The boy was also fighting and defending the swords coming at him. Soon, they both were overwhelmed by the a.s.sa.s.sins and got split up.

The bodyguard was distracted for a split second shifting his attention towards the boy, "My Lord!" It was then that an a.s.sa.s.sin slashed the bodyguard across the back.

The boy yelled, "Don"t worry about me, I can protect myself! Just get them!" It was then that the bodyguard started attacking fiercely, but soon enough, he started to slow down. His cut was bleeding and he was starting to run out of strength.

The boy ran away trying to split up the a.s.sa.s.sins. The best thing to do is run and see if he could take them down one at a time when he is outnumbered. He ran deeper into the mountain and took down the a.s.sa.s.sins one by one.

Soon, the boy was also running out of breath and as he was busy fending the a.s.sa.s.sins coming in front of him, he got stabbed right from behind. It was one of the a.s.sa.s.sins that went down earlier. He probably missed the vital parts when he stabbed the a.s.sa.s.sin, so the a.s.sa.s.sin got back up and stabbed him while he was busy. The boy turned around and thrust the sword right through the a.s.sa.s.sin"s throat. The a.s.sa.s.sin dropped dead. Now the boy is injured, his strength is starting to deteriorate and there are still a few a.s.sa.s.sins left. He planned on taking all of them down before going down himself.

At this time, the bodyguard had killed off all the a.s.sa.s.sins on his end but he became too weak to go after the boy. His vision was getting blurry and soon enough, he slumped down to the ground feeling regretful that he could not protect his Lord.

Not far from where the boy is, the girl was out hunting with her bow and arrows. For a whole year, she learned how to survive in the mountain. She learned how to hunt, she learned how to protect herself from the wild creatures in the mountain.

As she was scouting her surrounding for animals, she heard the sounds of swords clashing. She ran towards the direction of the sword clashing that was just up ahead of her. The girl hid in the bushes nearby. She saw an injured boy being chased down by four a.s.sa.s.sins. Flashbacks of when she and her older sister was being chased down by their pursuers popped in her mind. Her gaze sharpened and she reached for her bow and arrows.
