Searching For You

Chapter 39

Pa Chee signaled for her men to kill off Chue Yi, the guards and maids in front of Hli Ja. Two of her men went up to the guards, the maids and stabbed them one after another right through the heart. Blood gushed out splattered everywhere on the ground. Hli Ja screamed and begged for them to stop but no matter how much she begged Pa Chee and her men did not heard a word. Hli Ja witnessed her people go down one after another. After the guards and maids slumped down on the ground, one of Pa Chee"s men looked at Chue Yi and walked closer to Chue Yi. With tears flowing down her face like stream, sweating, and exhausted, Hli Ja shook her head, screamed and begged for them to spare Chue Yi. One of the men inched closer to Chue Yi and thrust his sword right through Chue Yi. Blood gushed out from the open wound and Chue Yi fell down on the ground once the man retracted his sword.

Pao Hua even though he was shaking and now feeling fearful, he still yelled out loud, "You evil people! You will never get away!"

Pa Chee glared at the boy and walked towards the boy. Hli Ja fearing that the boy will face the same fate, she begged Pa Chee as she wept, "Please, don"t kill him. He"s just a boy and can"t hurt no one. He has no one, I just picked him off the street a few days ago. You are soon to be mother, you should spare the child." Hoping that this would make Pa Chee think twice before harming Pao Hua.

When Pa Chee heard those words, even though the word did not resonate much to her, she did hesitated. She stopped turned around and ordered, "Tie them up," and walked out of the room.

The men tied up Hli Ja and Pao Hua inside the inn. Once Pa Chee got outside, she ordered, "Burn up this place. Don"t leave anyone alive and no evidence behind." Giving off a satisfactory expression like she single handedly just won a big war. The men surrounded the inn with torches and dropped the torches onto the house. Not long after, the house when up in flame. Pa Chee reached inside her clothes and untied the bundles of clothes she strapped on her waist to give her the pregnant belly and threw it into the fire. She turned around walked away to her carriage and signaled for her men to go.

Inside the inn, Chue Yi used his last energy to get up, untied the ropes that was tightly wrapped and tied around Hli Ja and Pao Hua. Once he untied them, he led them down the stairs to the back door but the fire was getting more intense. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. Hli Ja and Pao Hua were starting to cough from inhaling some of the fumes. As they reached the end of the hallway to the back door, the pillar collapsed. Chue Yi used all his might to hold onto the burning pillars as he shield Hli Ja and Pao Hua and shouted, "Go, just go!"

The fire started to spread and burn Chue Yi as he was holding onto the inn"s pillars. He screamed for Pao Hua to take Hli Ja away, "Aren"t you her brother? Brother must protect their sister. Take your sister away!" Hli Ja was hesitant to leave the guards and maids behind as they have always helped her along the way.

Tears streaming down her face as she shook her head in refusal. The flames grew larger, larger, and inched closer. It is only be a matter of time before they all will get burn.

The stage steamers shot out airs on the floor of the stage and followed by the flames. SWOOSH! SWOOSH! The sound effects pulled the audiences into the scene of a house burning in flames. The stage turn 180 degrees back and forth a couple times giving the audience different angle views.

Everyone was tensed and focusing on the scene of the inn burning down to the ground.

As the inn tumbled down to the ground, the noise of a gla.s.s fell and rolled on the ground pulled the groups" attention away from the play. They turned to look at Prince Hue Chi and saw the gla.s.s cup on the floor that had just rolled to a complete stop. Then there was a thump on the floor followed by Su Na"s scream, "Yu Sha! Yu Sha!" Everyone"s attention shifted to the other end of the room. Yu Sha is on the floor curled up grasping her chest wheezing for airs.
