Right now Hydra, and his group of fellow Bread cultists were in a bind. Why? Well after gathering all the loot, which turned out to be hundreds of weapons and equipment. While all rusty and worn out, in its previous condition they were definitely amazing goods, it was Hydra’s regret they he couldn’t save them somehow. Even if he did use [Trans.m.u.tation] it would turn the product into its original state before it was melded into equipment! Without a proper recipe Hydra, would need hours of practice before effectively being able to create a weapon! That was why a recipe was needed in the first place!
With a recipe he could have the plans directly injected into his mind and perfectly know the flow of how the item was created! After all this game was a virtual reality and followed many similar rules as Naturals had to live properly somehow. This was the reason why HYdra had spent 12 hours just to create a single small rough key, one could imagine the difficulty behind a durable sword or armor.
As for the problem that was at hand, Hydra and his companions were lost! They had left out one of the exits and immediately happily strolling off without a care in the world, if they saw a monster the army of bread followers utterly destroyed them. Everything was good, as they were humming happily and Hydra was skipping after hearing about his loot.
Of Course his emotions were soon turned upside down upon hearing they took a wrong turn, in fact maybe a few dozen wrong turns. The first thing that happens when a convict gets sentenced to Yorula is they are sent blindfolded and cuffed with their belongings. In this case all of the bandits didn’t have any important belongings other than money and worn down equipment but for someone like Cline he naturally had rare items to utilize.
And because they all entered blindfolded, no one knew the exit out! Hydra didn’t care about the choices of his followers due to being so overly happy, he was stuck in his own little world. The result of this was everyone fighting to look good in front of Hydra! Falcon and Valeria, being the worst were arguing on which direction to go at every turn. While Cline felt it was needed to fix things, he was simply unable to persuade them to negotiate.
Thus the only result was getting lost, and after walking for over a day even Hydra’s happy go mood was spoiled. Although it was a gradual change, and happen all at once. Noticing the change in Hydra’s expression all the bread followers immediately bent down and apologized. They only wanted one thing and that was to be praised by their leader! The one closest to the Bread G.o.d! An honour, they would all die for! That was just how intense the bread followers currently were.
“Okay.. Let me get this straight. You guy’s have made marks in all the entrances you’ve entered correct?”
Hydra stared at Valeria and Falcon with furrowed brows. Falcon then stepped up and apologized as his face was full of regret and spoke out.
“Yes, as your Lordship says, we have marked all the cave entrances we have tried once before. An effective measure in forests when we bandits are looking to venture unknown territory.”
“Okay… First of all… Everyone listen up. For now on, I command you all to call me Hydra. As I too am a believer of the Bread G.o.d let us all be equal.”
Hydra spoke up about the ongoing ‘lordship’ that was starting to bother him. There was nothing wrong with being in power but to be put above the rest, was unsettling for someone like Hydra who didn’t care about such trivial matters. Although everyone felt somewhat shocked and alerted, they didn’t dare to argue a command of their exalted leader! That was what it meant to be a true leader, as your subjects would follow your orders even if they were somewhat strange! Although in this case it was but a simple order, but for this world acknowledging power was one of the most important aspects in life.
“Next…. If you marked all the entrances, why are the only exits always the ones we have already marked?!”
“Uhhh…”
Falcon was stupefied. He was unable to answer Hydra clearly, as right now they were noticeably in a labyrinth underground. Without a known path they could only keep on attempting to check each and every cave until they found the exit!
However it was just then that a message popped up for Hydra. A long-awaited message that Hydra brightened Hydra’s mood instantaneously. Why? Because a certain few days ago a certain pet of his was hibernating. Now the message told him he could summon his pet! Hydra immediately pressed the summon key on the message and a bright light appeared in front of the entire group!
What appeared next was a the long-awaited appearance of Pan! In his small body with three tails, it cutely stared up at Hydra with its deep dark black eyes. The only thing Pan could be called was the most adorable creature in this game. Maybe not the world, maybe not in this game, but to Hydra at the very least nothing was better than the beautiful crimson fur and white patches to give personality.
Naturally, Pan’s first reaction was what it was taught best! As Pan stood up on its hind legs pawing at Hydra’s leg. Staring straight up and him and crying softly.
“Arooo.”
At this moment Hydra immediately picked up Pan and hugged him tightly. Hydra had never had a pet, but when he found Pan a companionship was immediately created between the two, and when Hydra had lost him he felt a feeling of loss without seeing the cute little guy walked around. In response to Hydra’s loving hug, Pan returned it by wrapping its three tails around his arms as tightly as a baby holding their mother’s pinky. It was an loving sight, however in an awkward timing!
Finally noticing the blank expressions of everyone including Cline, Hydra couldn’t help but cough lightly and continued to babble an excuse to his fellow followers!
“Rejoice! The Bread G.o.d has sent us a messenger in order for us to follow the Bread G.o.d more faithfully!”
Everyone immediately changed their expressions into excitement and even some of them went ‘oooooooooh!’ as a reaction. After gaining the crowd’s attention Hydra continued to pull ahead.
“This is Pan! And he will show all of the believers how to truly pray for the Bread G.o.d! Now Pan please do us the honours!”
As Hydra put Pan slowly onto the ground, Pan was unable to understand the currently predicament, but he would follow his master’s orders regardless of the situation and thus crawled on his legs towards the front of the group. With all eyes patiently staring at Pan in excitement the movements of Pan finally started to take form!
Pan had sat on his behind and raised his paws, slightly resting them on his slanted snout. At this Hydra didn’t waste time and copied. Only instead of sitting down he kneeled, as to represent a more graceful appearance as a human, as naturally a four-legged animal could not kneel as a two-legged. In return everyone responded in turn kneeled. The Bread followers followed Hydra, who had intertwined his fingers and rested them onto the bridge of his nose, with his thumbs softly resting on his temples.
At this moment it was the final piece needed for a religion and that was a way to properly pray to their G.o.d! A place to pray and an offering were simply added benefits and did not mean anything to G.o.ds, it was simply the belief and the show of appreciation for the G.o.d that mattered! First Hydra had gather members to spread their religion and now, with Pan’s help, they had created a way to show their appreciation! It was at this moment that Hydra heard a particular noise.
