Until next time  Ciao Cubs

Currently Hydra was in a predicament. There was a beautiful elf, who wanted to scrub his back. now while he was surprised at first it would be after all quite nice to have someone wash your back especially someone as pretty as Lixiss. However, Hydra knew that if he did, the next thing that awaited him was death. No matter what, Irina would find out, he could try to bury it in the deepest parts of his heart, but the moment she would stare at him his face would be full of guilt. Of Course it might not be something to be guilty of because it was just getting his back washed however, he knew for some reason deep down within his heart Irina would be p.i.s.sed!

Hydra was one to wear his emotions on his face and naturally guilt wouldn’t be any different. Irina knew this as well that was why she so often like to tease him, and for that matter every other person as well! Although the bread followers and Cline didn’t tease him because he saved their lives and created entirely new ones for them as they worshipped him, it would be inexcusable to act in such a way towards Hydra their savior.

Now for Laxiss the moment she heard about Hydra from Irina she too wanted to test and tease him for herself. She naturally also knew of Kurgal through her family’s history and thus heard when Kurgal and Irina had both been able to tease Hydra, she too had wanted to give it a try.

The results were greater than she hoped and although she was only kidding about washing Hydra’s back she almost wanted to push a little farther to see how much more interesting it could get. However, she came for a serious topic and she would only have a bit of time before Irina realized that illusion magic was casted for her and Valeria to run towards a different bath.

Illusion magic was naturally best suited when the environment would compliment their magic. As for Laxiss and Irina they both used illusion magic, Irina for her elf ears to appear shorter while Lixiss had used the steam from the bathes to hide the illusion magic. It was important to not over due illusion magic as the stronger it is the more noticeable the usage of illusion magic. However the flip side can be said as well, the stronger the illusion magic the harder it is to break through it. It took a lot of effort to use illusion magic to that degree however thus Illusionists mainly like to use their environment to their advantages to compliment their illusion magic. This was one such time for Lixiss.

Hydra all this time stared at Lixiss with anxious feelings. Although she was clothed it was only a thin silk like robe. Although it looked like silk it might be better to call it a silky like leaf material, as everything the elves used were naturally made out of natural resources. Finally Lixiss decided to speak while Hydra merely listened.

“*sigh* Where to start?….. Hmmm… How about we talk about the beginning of the elves? Yes that will do.”

Hydra’s ears unconsciously perked up! While he had read about elves it was a topic that came about numerous times and all kinds of theories were made on how elves came to be in their respective stories. Now Hydra was about to listen to an entirely new history, it was something he was clearly excited for! Thus he didn’t dare delay an nodded lightly towards Lixiss. At this she smiled and with a wave of her hand, the ground lit up with a vibrant green light. Out of the ground appeared a ripe leaf that was young of colour and not yet st.u.r.dy from just growing, however withut hesitation Lixiss sat down on the leaf and surprisingly this young leaf was able to hold her weight without any problems. It was not the fact that Hydra had thought she was heavy but that the leaf and stem were so weak looking that Pan could use his 3 tails to break the stem.

Without giving time for Hydra to recover from his surprise she spoke up with a proud expression.

“Hydra, you and infact nearly all of your species do not know of our true origins. Naturally the other two main races wouldn’t know either. Truthfully we are not much different from the G.o.dkin to the south, however at the same time we are entirely different people as well! Unlike the rest of the humanoids, we were not created through a G.o.d that you would know of!”

Hydra stood there flabbergasted.

‘Not born from the G.o.ds? What else could the be born from?!’

Hydra didn’t know a lot of the story of [Second Saga] however to keep science entirely out of the mix the general consensus of the game was that all species were created from some sort of G.o.d, including the monsters! That only showed that G.o.ds also were not united and tried to fight for control of the mortal world as well! But this was different, as Lixiss specifically said they were not born from a G.o.d if not G.o.ds what else? Of course for dramatic effect and to lightly tease Hydra, Lixiss only stood there for a few moments allowing the tension to rise. Then she finally continued when Hydra looked as he was about to jump out of the bath, of course this kind of surprise was not something she would want.

“Hydra how much of the white tree do you know of?”

“Nothing.”

Hydra knowing full well of his ignorance in the subject admitted it readily. At this Lixiss was even slightly startled he answered immediately without hesitation. Usually one would look down upon others when they had a lack of knowledge however instead of Hydra being down, he was even slightly looking forward to finding out more. With this Lixiss gave a light approving smile and continued on.

“We call it the [White Winged Tree]. Although the name sounds weird it infact describes it perfectly. Usually one would never be able to see the crown of the tree do to its enormous height and even on a clear day the surroundings of the tree would be covered in mist clouds. However at the very top of the tree are two giant branches covered in white leaves that beautifully spread out in the shape of two magnificent wings. This tree is in fact an existence that can not be explained by anyone in this world. There are countless things in the world but only this ancient tree and a few other areas are older than the G.o.ds themselves.”

Hydra had no idea how to react in such a situation. The words ran through Hydra’s mind over and over again.

‘Branches and leaves shaped in the form of wings?’

‘A tree older than the G.o.ds themselves?!’

What kind of existence was that?! Hydra confused, looked back at Lixiss for answers. Without a doubt she understood the hardships in Hydra’s mind right now after even she and the rest of her people felt it was impossible if not seeing for themselves what the tree looked like.

“Even as G.o.ds it is still impossible for them to create the world, and only when they arrived did they notice such a beautiful and incredible world in front of them. Painstakingly they created the few lives of humans, Barbarians, Lichs, Undead, Dwarves and many other numerous life forms to inhabit this world. This was when the [White Winged Tree] also had the urge to create its own life!”

“What?!”

Hydra was able to put two and two together at that moment. If the elves were not created by the G.o.ds and the [White Winged Tree] also wanted to create life what else could those lifeforms be other than the Elves?! Not only was Hydra surprised at the origins of the Elves he was even more surprised that the [White Winged Tree] had contained a conscience! Lixiss knew he would be surprised and only continued on.

“The [White Winged Tree] indeed has a conscience and is able to feel the world in its entirety. The Tree itself probably knows all of the world and its secrets! This is why the monsters never dare to come make problems for my clan. They know full well during the [War of the Ancients] how terrifying the [White Winged Tree] can be. However the humanoids are short-lived creatures and were nearly eradicated during that time period. Thus they would not know of its power.”

There was simply too much information for Hydra to cope with. Thus Lixiss upon noticing that, quickly decided to finish up the main point.

“Now as for Irina…. We are the direct descendants of the [White Winged Tree] and because of that, we will undergo a trial during our coming of age ceremony. Thus when she succeeds her hair too will turn into this platinum color and she will awaken her true powers. Now, to pa.s.s the coming of age ceremony she must find a husband if she does not she will die! And what better person than the successor to the [Aether Bladist] profession, namely you Hydra! So won’t you marry my daughter and help her pa.s.s her coming of age ceremony?”

Finally Hydra collapsed, the being asked to marry her daughter all of a sudden was simply too ridiculous! But the current Hydra had heard so much information and so many ideas that he was simply unable to cope with it entirely! Thus he slipped into the bath and dove under the water to refresh himself.

“Wait! Stop, you said your name was Valeria!?”

“Yes I serve Lord Hydra, as one of his new commanders in the Bread Order!”

“I don’t care about that! We have a bigger problem now! If Hydra isn’t here where he’s supposed to be, that can only mean that my mother is up to something we must hurry!”

“Hmm… What you say is understandable for the sake of protecting Lord Hydra’s chast.i.ty and keeping it for myself I will agree to overlook your intrusion of his bath this once!”

“I… I what do you mean intrusion?! Ah forget it! Mother you better not tell him any lies!”

“Aro?”
