Chapter 147: See How Kind I Am?

“Qin Nanfeng, what do you need your arm for?” said Ling Chuxi lightly, a peculiar smile appearing on her face.

Qin Nanfeng was stunned and his face changed the very next moment as he understood what she Chuxi meant. His right hand suddenly felt incomparably heavy. He was actually unable to raise it! He lowered his head, yet he did not notice anything out of the ordinary about his right hand. It was just that his arm had no strength whatsoever.

Ling Chuxi’s somewhat cheeky voice spoke, “The moment you lowered you head, I could have totally slaughtered you. However, I did not do so. See how kind I am?”

Greatly shocked, Qin Nanfeng took a step back. As he cautiously looked at Ling Chuxi, he switched his sword to his left hand.

“You actually poisoned me?” asked Qin Nanfeng. He sounded hesitant because there was nothing out of the ordinary with his arm.

“Wrong!” replied Ling Chuxi seriously. “I used a hidden technique: Moving Mountains Beating Cows. (T/N: It’s like a Chinese mythological palm attack that you can use from a distance.) Your arm was hurt by it. You don’t feel any pain, and your arm doesn’t itch either, does it?”

Although she was smiling, it did not quite reach her eyes, as there was nothing but icy coldness in her eyes.

“Bullsh*t!” yelled an angry Qin Nanfeng.

Of course he could tell that his opponent was actually mocking him. Naturally, he also knew that it was not possible for such methods to exist. He definitely must have been poisoned!

“Give me the antidote!” he demanded anxiously.

As a cultivator, what would it mean to lose his right hand? It meant that his whole life would be ruined—living would be worse than death! Killing him with a single strike would have been less painful than this.

Tilting her head, Ling Chuxi laughed. “Goodbye. I’m off to have supper now.”

With that, she turned around and left.

“Where are you going?!” shouted Qin Nanfeng, intending to pursue her.

As she turned to leave, Ling Chuxi threw something, scaring him so badly that he took a few steps back. By the time he took a good look and realized that it was just a stone, she was long gone. When he ran out the door to chase her, he found that the people in the courtyard were lying on the groung, having been knocked unconscious.

“Guards! Somebody, come!”

Qin Nanfeng fet both angry and afraid. His right hand could not be crippled just like this. He needed to see a doctor to gain an understanding of what was happening.

After Ling Chuxi left, n.o.body noticed the figure perched on the rooftop. The wind was blowing at his enchanting silver hair. Huangfu Qingjue was quietly standing there, shaking his head helplessly as he watched Ling Chuxi.

“Little thing, how could you fight with someone so desperately? Putting your life on the line like that…”

When Ling Chuxi attacked as if she was going to die with her opponent earlier, Huangfu Qingjue understood that she had no intention of actually dying. She could accurately guess that her opponent would not dare to do so, thus she attacked like that.

However, watching her use such methods made his heart clench.

Raising his head, Huangfu Qingjue looked at the overcast night skies. With a tap of his toe, his figure disappeared into the night. He quickly chased after Ling Chuxi as she headed towards the Luo family residence.

With the same determination and the same method, she crippled Luo Qiying’s arm too. But this fight was a little more dangerous, as Ling Chuxi almost got injured.

In the deep of the night, when everything was quiet, the Qin family and the Luo family were left in a mess whilst Ling Chuxi returned to her own home. With a yawn, she changed her clothes, took off her mask, and was getting ready to hug Little White to sleep. But after looking around, she could not find Little White anywhere.

Ling Chuxi started to panic. “Little White? Little White?”

‘Why was Little White missing? Could it be that it left to follow after her by tracing her scent? That would be bad!’
