Chapter 448: Chuxi’s Anger
There was no tragedy of thousand armies and ten thousand horses. There was no heroism of having spears like forests and arrows like rain. Yet the battle situation was still so tragic before their eyes. Even the moon had hid within the dark clouds, as if it could not bear to look on anymore and only revealed an obscure and dim moonlight.
The tragic screams stopped. There were about over ten corpses lying on the ground. Among the ten plus figures that surrounded him, only the Fifth Elder was standing alone and holding his sword. His clothes had already been soaked with fresh blood and his whole body was densely covered with cuts and bruises. Yet he still guarded Second Elder at the front with all his life.
“Looks like I cannot leave this time.” Fifth Elder laughed with a hoa.r.s.e voice.
“I had initially thought of seeing Chuxi that little brat one more time. Looks like I don’t have that opportunity anymore.” Second Elder looked at him and laughed with regret.
“Does it matter if you get to see her or not? As long as Chuxi, that little brat is around, the Ling family will definitely become the Number One Great Clan of Nan Xia Country. Look at these sons of the Ling family. Would they have their vigor today if it was not for Chuxi that little brat being their role model?” Fifth Elder laughed out loud.
“What you said is not wrong. I should be contented as well.” Second Elder smiled with comfort too.
Ling Chuxi had already become the pride of the disciples of the Ling family unknowingly. She was their hope as well as their role model. It was also because of her, that these disciples of the Ling family which had collapsed to the ground had such courage and unyielding spirits today. In fact, did the whole Nan Xia Country not feel this way too?
“Kill!” A cold shout sounded from the crowd. A chilling gleam from a sword struck out once again toward both of them without showing any mercy.
Fifth Elder gave a long howl toward the skies. He was like a mad tiger that rushed into its enemies. Despite his blood and flesh flying everywhere, the sword in his hand was piercing continuously toward his enemies.
When Ling Chuxi and the few of them arrived, they saw this scene happening. In that instant, her heart was in pain as if it was being tugged at violently. An endless fury was burning in her chest.
“Stop!” Ling Chuxi flew out like an arrow which was released from the bowstring.
Seeing Ling Chuxi, the expression of the man who was leading changed and horror could be seen. He rushed toward Second Elder and clearly wanted to kill Second Elder before Ling Chuxi caught up. Looking at that figure, he was actually at the Pinnacle of Battle Qi Level 9.
“Seeking death!” Ling Chuxi shouted angrily. The Turning Cloud Gesture and spirals of Battle Qi were condensed at the same time on her sword which formed rows of brilliant lights. It was even more dazzling than the afternoon sun in the midst of the darkness and it almost caused one to be unable to open one’s eyes.
“Chuxi!” Second Elder opened his eyes. He could vaguely see Ling Chuxi’s absolutely beautiful face with the help of the dazzling white light. He was delighted and comforted at the same time as he mumbled to himself.
It was as if time had come to a standstill at this moment. Everyone was looking at Ling Chuxi with shock as she was surrounded by the dazzling white rays. Even their thoughts had come to a standstill as well.
Ling Chuxi had appeared beside the Second Elder’s side. Wherever she pa.s.sed, everyone had collapsed onto the ground in a uniform manner like paddy fields that were harvested during autumn. Even the leader who was at the Pinnacle of Battle Qi Level 9 was no exception.
It was only until now that they knew what was happening. One move. It was only just one move. Anyone who had blocked her had their internal organs and heart pierced through by that strong Battle Qi. Even the leader who was at the Pinnacle of Battle Qi Level 9 did not have the slightest ability to withstand under her sword.
The quietness was like death. There was a blank in everyone’s minds and they had even forgotten about their fears.
“Retreat fast… The wind is tight, run fast!” Finally someone gave out a terrified roar. It was obvious that they had pretended to use the catchphrase of bandits. They realized they had shouted the wrong catchphrase after shouting out ‘retreat fast’ under desperation.
But before his voice had fallen, a sword pierced through his heart. Two figures that were standing tall drifted past like spirits among the crowd. It would take away a fresh life every time there was gleam from the sword.
