Chapter 307: The Provocative Little White

When night came, Ling Yichen was setting up the tent with great familiarity while Ling Chuxi was roasting meat by the campfire. The roasted meat was dripping with oil as it made sizzling sounds and small burst of flames kicked up when the oil dripped into the campfire, emitting fragrance. Little White sat by Ling Chuxi’s side as its head leaned on Ling Chuxi’s thigh and narrowed its eyes comfortably.

After Ling Yichen set up the tent, he turned around and saw this peaceful scene. Ling Chuxi smiled as she was tearing small pieces of meat and feeding Little White while Little White opened its mouth and elegantly ate the roasted meat, squinting its eyes in the enjoyment of Ling Chuxi’s service. Sometimes, Ling Yichen was a little jealous of Little White. Little White’s treatment was better than any of theirs. Seeming to have felt Ling Yichen’s gaze, Little White turned its head slightly and glanced at Ling Yichen from the corner of its eyes before turning its head back. Ling Yichen’s eyes widened as he stretched out his hand to rub his own eyes. Did he see it correctly? Why did he feel that a fox was showing him a provocative gaze? Such a humanistic fox, was it really just an ordinary fox?

“Yichen, sit down and eat.” Ling Chuxi turned her head to call Ling Yichen.

Ling Yichen nodded with a smile and sat down, accepting the roasted meat Ling Chuxi offered. One could not deny that Ling Chuxi’s cooking was really amazing. Even he who had little desire or demand toward food also could not help but praise Ling Chuxi’s roasted meat. He had never tasted such flavorful roasted meat. How would he have known the strength of a foodie? As a qualified, strong foodie, Ling Chuxi did not only know how to eat, she also knew how to make a lot of good food.

They continued on like this, walking and stopping. They acted more like it was an outing. They finally found the position of the treasure map and after more than ten days, the two of them stopped in front of a rocky cliff.

“It’s here.” Ling Yichen held the treasure map as he compared it against the surrounding peaks and said with certainty.

In the middle of the treasure map, a rocky wall went straight into the sky, obviously a lot higher than the other peaks. In the middle of this cliff, within the cloud of mist floating around, a conspicuous red dot marked the location of the treasure.

Comparing the terrain and peaks around them, they were exactly the same as where they currently stood. There was no doubt that this treasure was definitely hidden in the midst of this stone wall.

The two of them made some preparations and then started climbing the endless cliff. Little White sprawled on Ling Chuxi’s back and hugged her neck.

This cliff was very sharp and it was so smooth that there is almost no place to grab a handle. The higher one went, the stronger the mountain breeze would be. If one’s cultivation was a little bit weaker, even if one knew the location of this treasure, it would have still been, fearfully, too difficult to climb up.

Faint mist was slowly floating around by their side as the two of them climbed up. The higher they got, the thicker the mist became, and it encompa.s.sed the two figures.

On one hand, Ling Chuxi used her Battle Qi to get a tight grip of the stone wall and on the other hand, she paid attention to her surroundings to check.

“Found it.” In the midst of the thick mist, Ling Chuxi saw a cave that was only as tall and as big as a single person in the cliff. However, the mouth of the cave was tilted and faced the sky. If it were not for the fact that she was constantly paying attention, it was fearful that she would not even have noticed it.

No wonder even after so many people came to the Silver Ancient Mountain Range to gain experience and seek treasures, n.o.body ever noticed this treasure. Beneath the cliff, a layer of mist blocked their sight and who would have been able to see the opening of a cave that tilted toward the sky? And who would have climbed up for fun without reason? And such a rocky wall, even if one wanted to climb it for fun, how many people actually had the ability to do so?

“Okay. I got it. Don’t move first. I’ll go over.” After speaking, Ling Yichen’s figure quickly went over and leaped into the cave before Ling Chuxi.
