Chapter 35 This Kind of World

In a brightly lit lounge, a couple seniors were sharply sweeping their gaze in amazement over Ye Fan and the others.

“Why are the clothes you’re wearing so strange?”

“Why would you cut your hair so short?”

“You guys are just ordinary mortals. Why would you enter into the Ancient Desolation Forbidden Land?”

“Your speech is weird; where are you from?”

“With just your level of strength, how could you get near the Ancient Desolation Abyss and obtain the legendary sacred fruit…?”

The seniors were all extremely carefully questioning them, attempting to understand where they came from.

Having come from the other side of the starry sky that was tens of light-years away, how could they so easily explain this? Even flying for thousands and millions of years wouldn’t allow someone to travel that distance. Ye Fan and the others were all silent.

“Why aren’t you speaking?” One of the senior’s gaze became extremely cold and severe.

“Even if we tell you the truth, would you believe it?” Ye Fan calmly looked at the various people inside the lounge. “Our hometown is very far from here. It’s only because we climbed up an ancient mountain that somehow sent us to another part of the world that we’re here. Now, we can no longer go back.”

The couple old people looked at each other. One of them eventually nodded their head, saying, “It’s possible. A strong person might have set a certain ‘power’ over that ancient mountain which can absorb the energy of the sun and moons to warp people to distant places. But such a strength is simply…absolutely terrifying!”

Since they no longer questioned them so closely, Ye Fan and the others didn’t bring up the nine dragons pulling a coffin. They also didn’t bring up how they had drifted through the empty universe to arrive on the other side of the starry sky.

At this moment, the bronze lamp, alms bowl, ancient bell, and the like attracted the seniors’ interest.

“These are…”

One of the seniors’ gaze concentrated on the bronze lamp in Ye Fan’s hand. Taking it, he carefully examined it for quite a while before sighing, “What an absolutely excellent technique! I suspect the lampwick has already given birth to a ‘spirit.’ But it’s a pity that it’s already been destroyed and the inside no longer has any circulation system.”

Following that, hecarefully examined the alms bowl, ancient bell, copper plaque, and the rest, and his entire face grew shocked. Continuously sighing in pity, he said, “They were originally so amazing, how could they all become trash now?! The valuable ‘Dao Glyphs’ have all been destroyed. It’s impossible to understand even a hint of their technique.”

“How did you manage to obtain such things?” The seniors seemed to all be full of regret as they continuously sighed about how it was such a pity.

At this moment, Ye Fan didn’t have an answer. His words from before were air-tight; even if Zhou Yi or the others were to explain further, the words he had said did not contradict the truth.

The others also understood his line of thinking with his response. They all stated that these divine relics were found on the ancient mountain with the ‘power.’ They said that they had just kept them when they arrived at the Ancient Desolation Forbidden Land.

Obviously, it wasn’t just Ye Fan who didn’t want to speak about travelling from the other side of the universe. The others all understood that such an important secret couldn’t be carelessly talked about.

“So it was like this. I’m getting more and more interested in this ancient mountain. I really want to go check it out.” One of the seniors was smiling so hard that his eyes turned into slits; who knew whether he was being sincere or just suspicious.

“Around where did you come from?” Another senior asked.

By now, everyone had understood Ye Fan’s link of thinking and all began to tell lies. One of the women said that they had come from the west.

“The western region? Then you must have come from the vast and boundless Western Desert…” One of the seniors knit their brow. “To step from the Western Desert to the Eastern Wastelands, the distance is endless. Even if I were to use a rainbow to travel all the way there, it would take me around thirty years. Just what kind of person who possesses the power to warp heaven and earth would set up such a strong ‘power’ over that ancient mountain? Unbelievable!”

“Then that means we’re now in the Eastern Wastelands. How large are they?” Zhou Yi quickly took the opportunity to ask.

“The Eastern Wastelands are absolutely boundless. An ordinary person could live ten lifetimes and still not manage to walk out of it.”

“It’s that huge?!” Ye Fan and the others all felt that it was inconceivable.

“In the mortal world, the nation that owns the area around the Ancient Desolation Forbidden Land is called ‘Yan.’ From north to south, it is a thousand kilometers long, and from east to west it is one thousand five hundred kilometers long. This kind of territory is not even a drop in the ocean compared to the whole Eastern Wastelands. There are a countless number of these nations.”

Pang Bo almost jumped into the air when he heard this. It was actually so huge? ‘Yan’ was already so large, yet it was absolutely nothing in the Eastern Wastelands. It was impossible to count how many similar nations existed alongside it.

The Eastern Wastelands could truly be described as a boundless ocean. Its size was hard to imagine!

“How could it be this big?”  Pang Bo’s eyes shrunk, and he felt that all of this new information was absolutely inconceivable. But when he thought of how this world even had G.o.ds in it, he only shook his head.

When the seniors saw Pang Bo so shocked, they all laughed. This person who only appeared eleven or twelve would now become one of their important ‘seedlings.’ One of them continued, “Yan might just be a drop in the ocean of the Eastern Wasteland, but it’s not completely without any reputation. The Ancient Desolation Forbidden Land is one of seven regions that are forbidden to life in the Eastern Wastelands.”

Everyone was shocked speechless by this information. Huge waves billowed in their hearts.

“Just now you mentioned the Western Desert. How does it compare it to the Eastern Wastelands?” w.a.n.g Ziwen was always a very detailed person, so he couldn’t help asking for more details.

“The Western Desert is about the same as the Eastern Wastelands; they’re both endlessly vast.”

Hearing this response, everyone felt great waves once more in their heart. This land was absolutely gigantic!

However, they were even more shocked one when another senior continued, “The Eastern Wastelands, the Western Desert, the Southern Mountains, the Northern Plains, and the Central States; of them, the region called the Central States is the most vast. The number of cultivators in it is hard to imagine…”

By now, all of them were completely petrified and their mouths felt dry.

The seniors were all very satisfied and continued to encourage them. “A mortal’s lifetime is as insignificant as an ant. They are unable to even comprehend how vast this world is. But all of you now have the chance to overlook this boundless land. As long as you diligently cultivate, there will definitely come a day that you can look down from the peak of the clouds.”

A long time pa.s.sed before they recovered from this shock. Some people were doubtfully muttering, “Us…cultivate…”

“That’s right. Although you lost your youth from entering the Ancient Desolation Forbidden Land, life is always fair. How much you lose is how much you can gain. The th.o.r.n.y path of cultivation might be filled with hards.h.i.+ps, but you guys have already opened up an initial track.”

“With your ‘Seas of Bitterness’ activated, if you can pa.s.s the ‘Sea of Bitterness’ and step onto the ‘Divine Bridge,’ it might even be possible for you to become a ‘G.o.d.’

The seniors took turns motivating them onto the path of cultivation.

“We still don’t even know who you are…” Zhou Yi took the opportunity to ask.

“We are one of the six Blessed Paradises within the nation of Yan. Of course, our main location is not here in the mortal world,” laughed one of the seniors.

“Yan Nation is just a drop in the ocean in the corner of the Eastern Wastelands, but it already has six Blessed Paradises. Just how many cultivation sects are in this world…?” Pang Bo quietly muttered.

The seniors obviously treated Pang Bo and Ye Fan with favoritism. They weren’t displeased when he said this, and instead one amicably smiled, “Don’t bite off more than you can chew. The most important thing is the foundation, and our Blessed Paradise’s holy land has a foundation building technique that is definitely top quality in this world. Moreover, if you were to soar in the future, we will provide you with an even greater s.p.a.ce.”

“Right!” enthusiastically exclaimed another senior. “Although we are just one Blessed Paradise, we belong to one of the Eastern Wastelands most outstanding and famous Sacred Lands. If you were to display a shocking enough talent, it’s possible for us to send you to that Sacred Land’s sect to cultivate.”

The seniors turned to proudly look at Weiwei. “Weiwei is the most talented person from our Blessed Paradise in over a thousand years. We’re a bit sad, but she will soon be sent to that Sacred Land. We are even more unwilling to see your cultivation be held back.”

At this moment, a laugh suddenly came from outside the lounge. “Your ‘Blessed Ground’ is insufficient. I heard that you found over ten good seedlings for cultivation? With their talent, they should be sent to our ‘Paradise.’”

Over ten rainbow beams landed from the sky. These people all directly entered into the lounge without an invitation.
