Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 383

"Alright, Judah, are you just connected to the Town or also the Golem that the town is placed on?" Eisen asked, and judging from the Guardian"s appearance, Eisen could already guess what the answer to that question was, but he simply wanted to be sure.

"The Town is the Golem, and the Golem is the Town. I can dictate its path, the creation of more golems done by this Town, and the behavior of said Golems." Judah replied immediately, so Eisen grinned broadly, as this was just what he was hoping for.

"Now then, how are all the Golems actually created?" Eisen asked next, so Judah quickly replied. "A special crystal of divine nature is set on the underbelly of the Golem. While the Golem is moving, it creates more Golems along its path."

"Huh... Well, that"s perfect, then." Eisen said with a smirk on his face, before the others looked at him confused. "How"s that perfect? Isn"t it just annoying to have an infinite amount of enemies around?" Evalia asked, but Eisen immediately shook his head.

"Of course it is, but you have to think about it. Golems need to be created. They aren"t like monsters that can breed and multiply their numbers that way. At some point, we"re letting people get here, right? So of course, some of those people would want to be able to go out and level up a bit, especially the Artificials. But the Golems would at some point run out. Since we can manipulate the creation of Golems through Judah, and manipulate those Golems afterward, we can create safe routes for people that just want to travel, and specific hunting-grounds for those that want to level up." Eisen explained to them, before he turned back toward Judah.

"And most importantly, we have a basically infinite workforce as well. Judah, it would be great if you could get to the reconstruction of the town and make the golems both not attack anyone, and help out with that reconstruction as much as possible. Xenia, can you supervise all of that, and that we have all the special buildings we need as well?" Eisen asked her, and the High-Elf immediately nodded her head in response, before the old man looked toward Brody.

"Then if everyone is alright with it, I think Brody and I should get to the long parts of our Level-Up Quests. After that we"ll help out with whatever is needed, of course." Eisen told the others, and the three others were happy to make sure everything would work out properly, while Brody stepped up toward Eisen, and the old man slowly crossed his arms.

"Now, do you need to meditate in a special place, or can you do that anywhere this time around?" In response, Brody just began to laugh and shook his head, "Nah, don"t worry. It"s just basic old meditation. Time pa.s.ses a bit quicker now while I"m meditating, and I can set a "timer" as well. And other than that, I can practice stuff like my energy control, so I"ll be fine. What"re you gonna do in your "Deep Visualization" thing?" Brody asked, and Eisen just smiled back at him, "What do you think I"m going to do?"

"Fair point... Well, then have fun with that. Let"s just sit down here or somethin", I"ll wake you up if something"s wrong." The Demon-Orc told Eisen, and the old man nodded as the two of them sat down against the wall of the room so that they wouldn"t bother anyone.

And then, while Brody sat down cross-legged and started his Meditation, Eisen quickly did something similar, although he just sat down regularly and closed his eyes, trying to quickly get into the state of "Deep Visualization", which would bring him into his Soul Realm.

And just a little while later, he found himself inside of the same room that he was in this time, even if the room was a little bit larger this time around. Either way, immediately, Eisen got to work with what he wanted to practice.

And what he wanted to practice was the item that he wanted to get Fluke"s help with. The two of them were already talking quite a bit about different methods of creating things like automata beforehand, and Eisen got a few really neat ideas through that conversation. But for the most part, Eisen just needed to play around a little bit.

The best thing about all of this was that he was technically meditating right now, which would heavily slow down the rate at which he lost stamina, meaning that he could just stay inside of his Soul Realm the whole 24 hours that he needed to straight.

"Alright then..." The old man started, but was soon put off by the echo that appeared through his talking. He wasn"t in here for a good amount of time, so he would just need to get used to this again over a little bit of time, but it didn"t seem like the kind of thing that would take long.

First, Eisen created a few different materials with his will so that he could experiment with the perfect material for the metal base. He was first thinking about using bra.s.s like with his two Automata, but he figured he should use a different material to fit better with his plans. The material that Fluke was using didn"t necessarily seem to be the best material there was for Eisen"s items, but they were surprisingly efficient when used for tinkering like Fluke was doing.

The reasons for that were relatively simple. For one, the crystals inside of the metal, and gold inside of it. It seemed like some of the negative qualities of gold were lost through the qualities, for example the low melting temperature, how soft it was, and the weight seemed to have decreased a little as well.

Fluke luckily told Eisen what kind of crystals were inside of the alloy so that he could figure all of that out. Because normally, it seemed like Gold also had a lot of qualities of magical nature that it obviously didn"t have in the real world. For one, it worked as an amazing mana-conductor! So when it came to making magic items, Gold was always a good material to use for smaller parts at the very least.

So first, Eisen created an alternate verison of Bra.s.s that had some crystals alloyed inside of it to increase strength and mana-flow. And other than that, Eisen also chose to "Imagine" a bit of that alloy infused with mana. It was pretty weird sometimes in this s.p.a.ce, while Eisen could imagine whatever he wanted, things still seemed to work like they usually would if he didn"t just imagine in, and the bra.s.s seemed to be actually a little bit different in how it acted after being infused with mana. And Eisen was actually pretty glad to see that, because that meant that he wouldn"t end up thinking up an item that wouldn"t actually work when trying to actually create it.

So then, Eisen swiftly got to work with all the materials that he now had, and then began to work on the different parts for it. The item that Eisen wanted to practice creating now was a small mechanical Fox similar to an Automaton in its structure, but also fairly different.

As Kirisho explained to Eisen, she wasn"t able to tame anything in the form she was now, but considering that she had mana, it would surely be possible for her to connect to a Golem if she tried to. And if not, then Eisen would just activate the Golem and tell it to treat Kirisho like its owner, like a small loophole.

And later on, Eisen would also switch the Golem Core inside of the Fox out for an Ego-Golem core so that Kirisho could actually have something like a proper tamed animal that she could raise from the get-go. Or rather, if Eisen was lucky and his occupation skill for Level 200 was the Ego-Item creation skill he wanted, then he would try and Rank that skill up as much as he could and then, when he could create proper Ego-Golems, would go ahead and make the first version an Ego-Golem right off the bat.

But for now, he needed to work on this. To start it off, Eisen had to figure out the actual body of a Fox. He already had a rough idea of what it was like, but he would need to first get Jyuuk"s help with this before actually properly making the item. For now, it would be fine if he just did it how he thought it would be good, because he wasn"t really creating an actual item anyway.

First, Eisen created all the different parts, starting out with the bones. It was something that he had done a few times before, so it wasn"t that big of a deal, it was just a slight bit smaller than the other ones he made so far, that"s all.

So, Eisen soon enough finished everything for that, and then he sat down and got to work with the things he "learned" from Fluke and the Guardians that he repaired and built so far.

What was important for something like this was a properly artificial mana-flow. If something was there to dictate that flow, in the shape of something like mana-crystal thread, then the mana would flow along that path. It was basically like blood-vessels, just that the mana was flowing through them instead, as if carrying "Magical Nutrients" through your body to keep you running.

Usually that wasn"t something you were able to see all that well, especially not with a low Mana Manipulation Rank, but at this point Eisen could also somewhat feel that there were these small flows of mana throughout his body other than the central clump in the center of his body where his heart was.

So, Eisen figured he should try and simulate those kind of "Mana Vessels" as well, and even if they weren"t normally something physically there, with Golems it might be a good idea to do so.

And then, Eisen got another idea for how he could work with that. First, he imagined a roll of somewhat thick mana-crystal thread, together with a source of mana thread. And then, he attached the mana thread to a mana needle and slowly moved it through some of the mana-crystal thread, before placing the mana needle into the actual steel needle. And just like that, he had some mana thread encapsuled inside of mana-crystal thread. Eisen wasn"t actually sure if this really did anything or if this was just a waste of time, but as far as Eisen was concerned, it seemed like a relatively good idea.

And so, by slightly hardening the mana-crystal thread so that it would keep its shape more easily, Eisen created what for now seemed like just a model of a Fox"s skeleton and bloodflow. Although, the bloodflow would be coming only now. What Eisen wanted to do for this was also something similar to the mana-crystal thread, just that he wanted to try something else out. He wasn"t entirely sure if it would work like that normally, but Eisen quickly created a second flow of the mana-crystal thread encapsuling the mana thread, and then manipulated the mana thread to act as if he was using trans.m.u.tation, so that he was able to practically pull the core of the mana-crystal thread out of it using the mana thread to get a thin, hollow tube that Eisen would be able to fill up with a fitting type of potion to act as support to the whole body. Of course, all of that was already hooked up to a small "placeholder" golem core inside of the ribcage, which was basically just a small crystal sphere in the size that Eisen wanted to have the actual golem core to be later on.
