Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 529

Eisen had a couple of different items in mind for the Wood-Giant"s a.r.s.enal. There were of course its main weapon, the katana, and it"s off-weapon, the wakizas.h.i.+. But other than that, Eisen still wanted to give the Wood-Giant a couple of other items that it could use depending on the situation. In real life it would be pretty hard to upscale them like this, but luckily, Eisen could use enchantments and magic to his advantage.

One of the items that he wanted to make was a smoke-bomb. And it wouldn"t be just any smoke-bomb, but one that was going to make use of Kirisho"s mist. Usually Eisen wouldn"t have been able to do that, it would have been impossible a couple of weeks ago, since Kirisho"s mist wasn"t a skill. It was part of her body.

But now, Eisen was able to make use of even abilities like that, as he already had with the brain of the Wood-Giant.

Kirisho"s mist was really the best choice for things like smoke-bombs for different reasons. Not only did it have the capabilities to explode outward rapidly, but its shape was also easily manipulated while capable of confusing enemies.

So, it could basically be thrown toward a group of pursuers and they wouldn"t be able to find their way out of the mist anymore, since it travelled with them.

The other item that Eisen wanted to make was a bit more dangerous. It would be basically just like a grenade that would stick to surfaces it was thrown against. For that, he would make two variants as well, both of which would be based off of the grenade that Eisen made before. One of them would simply be supersized for as much damage as possible. And another one that just had many regular-sized sticky-grenades inside of it. That one would just shatter in the air and spread out the regular-sized grenades around the area.

Beside those explosives, Eisen also wanted to create some throwing-knives to enable combat at a distance. These would end up being connected to the Giant"s hand through some magic thread that Eisen would end up using Sal"s abilities to create, just to make sure that the giant weapons wouldn"t suddenly be wasted, and to possible create different uses. Maybe it could be used to even pull the giant up somewhere or restrain other monsters.

For either of these, Eisen wanted to create roughly a dozen to start off with. Maybe he would create more of them later, or maybe he could even create systems that automatically produced them for the Giant so that it could act without restraint even when Eisen wasn"t around.

The first thing that Eisen started working on was the smoke bomb. It was actually rather simple, really. Especially for this one, the construction-method was a rather simpler one. Eisen just needed to create a sh.e.l.l and enchant the outside so that it would shatter on impact after mana was infused into it. And the inside would be made to activate the small sphere in the center of the smoke-bomb and work together to near to instantly start decompressing the highly-compressed mist inside of the sh.e.l.l.

So that he would have a proper use for all the leftover wood, Eisen got started turning it into the sh.e.l.ls and and properly enchanting those sh.e.l.ls both on the outside and on the inside. The latter was done by controlling the needles from a distance again, of course.

Eisen made a small hole in one of the sides and started holding the item quickly made to produce the same kind of mist as Kirisho had. While filling it into there, Eisen of course also did his best to decompress it as much as he possibly could. It basically turned into a solid ma.s.s inside of the sh.e.l.l. The old man pushed the three-dimensionally-enchanted ball that he just made into the center of that ma.s.s, pus.h.i.+ng it away using trans.m.u.tation.

This ball was really just made to quickly be able to decompress this mist, while also giving it something like a "command". That command could be things like "stick to the enemy" or "spread out as much as possible". Just so that Eisen didn"t need to make different kinds of smoke-bombs.

Either way, after this, Eisen just needed to close the hole up and he finished the first of the batch!

And for the next little while, Eisen was just working on the other dozen. For now, Eisen would make a baker"s dozen, actually, so that he could have one of each type to test out. Well, besides the throwing-knives of course, since those weren"t supposed to be consumed or anything like that.

Next, Eisen hurried up and grabbed one of the large ma.s.ses of crystalized fire mana and repeated the process that he went through for the first grenade that he made a few weeks ago, just supersized, then enchanted the outside of those to stick to other surfaces, and then repeated that another dozen more times.

And at last, Eisen created numerous regular-sized grenades with the same sticky properties that would activate a few moments after the sh.e.l.l was broken, and then just filled all those grenades into an extra sh.e.l.l that was made to break a few moments after mana was pulled out of it while turning the compressed air-mana filled into the gaps inbetween the grenades into regular air to make them spread out a little bit more. It wasn"t highly-compressed, really. Just a slight bit. Eisen didn"t want the grenades to be flung into all directions, after all.

After these were done, Eisen got started with the throwing knives, the last step. He chose to go with the cla.s.sic Kunai design, simply because they were a pretty good fit for what Eisen had in mind. After all, that design already had rings that the thread could very easily be attached to.

This was all a really easy job when Eisen fully increased his size and activated his draconic demon transformation. From this size, it was basically just like he had to make a kunai that was twice the size to normal, after all. And that wasn"t all too hard in the slightest, and Eisen was able to finish this within a couple of hours somehow. The Mastered-Blacksmithing skill made shaping metal nearly as easy as forming soft clay, while not getting rid of the satisfying resistance it had to it. It was a nice feeling really.

Once the twelve kunai were done, Eisen added the thread-reels into the rings. The total length of the thread in there was actually roughly five kilometers. It was really, really thin, after all, while also being incredibly strong. Eisen was using a mixture of thread that he made himself using the spinnerets from the Mother of Spiders that was just so slightly changed around by Sal, who gave an extra twist to it so that the threads could be relatively easily controlled.

After that, Eisen added a small part to those rings that could be detached and actually worn as a ring if needed to, so that the wood-giant couldn"t lose the other end of the thread.

Eisen quickly filled everything into the right storage segments before finally starting to work on the last two items. The Katana and Wakizas.h.i.+, supersized for the wood-giant. The old man chose good, high-quality steel as a base and created an alloy using some minor parts of other crystals. Some were enchanted with swordsmans.h.i.+p, while others were just there for their natural properties. But those weren"t the only things Eisen added into the materials for the swords as an extra. He also added some parts of souls so that he could turn both the katana and the wakizas.h.i.+ into high-tier ego-weapons. He had a couple souls that were meant to have their shape, after all, so it was a good start even if the size was in completely different worlds.

Either way, once the mixture was done, Eisen got started with shaping them. Once more, this was a relatively easy job when Eisen was in his largest possible size. He just had to make both of the blades twice as large as he would when making a regular blade.

He folded mana into the blades and gave each of them a slight curve, before he set them to the side and tempered them in the probably largest furnace Eisen had created with his element just yet, and while that was happening simply chose to get started with making the handles.

They wouldn"t be so complicated, really. They were just regular handles made so that the Wood-Giant would be able to hold onto it properly with the help of the enchantments on its hands.

When he was done with the handles, the blades were fully tempered and Eisen could just attach them properly before wrapping them in a thin layer of leather that was specially treated with a mixture to once more increase the grip. That was the biggest problem with these blades. Due to their size, they were so enormously heavy that if they ended up slipping out of the Wood-Giant"s hands, they would kill anyone they landed on instantly.

And that wouldn"t be really that great, as far as Eisen was concerned. But at the very least that meant that using this, no regular players would be able to stand a chance against him.

When the old man was done, he just quickly pushed the blades into the wood-sheats that he decorated and clothed in some metal to see if they would actually fit properly, and then moved on to enchanting the blades themselves with some more things to increase their sharpness and durability, before placing two small weapon cores into the bases of their blades, right where the handles met the blades, and placed the soul nuclei into those weapon cores to finish up.

All that he now needed to do was properly sharpen them, which took quite long since Eisen didn"t have proper spinning-wheels to help him at this size, but soon enough, Eisen finally finished. He was fully done with this giant project that he worked on all alone. It felt like an amazing accomplishment, really.

"So, are you going to activate it now?" Kirisho asked curiously as she appeared next to him after leaving the amulet around the old man"s neck, and Eisen quickly nodded his head as he stared at the large figure.

"Of course I am. I can"t wait to see it walk around." The old man chuckled, before increaseing his size to the maximum and leaning over the Wood-Giant"s body. He placed his hand onto its chest and pushed his mana throguh the layers upon layers of crystals, wood and metal, and then just listened as the Wood-Giant"s body started creaking and moving. It didn"t take long until it pushed itself off the ground and so, in front of the giant old man stood an even more enormous wood-giant.
