Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 720 The Fiery King of Ancient Gold

Chapter 720 The Fiery King of Ancient Gold

Eisen slowly opened his eyes and looked around in his bedchambers. Or at least, the room that used to be the bedchambers. This place could hardly be called that anymore. After all, right now, it was just turned into a realm of ashes by Eisen"s transformation.

Of course, the chains holding Eisen down were still attached to him even now. There was no way that the barely level 350 Eisen would be able to break chains created by a max level Eisen. But now, the old man could relax because the chains slowly crumbled away, noticing that the u003cTrue Demonic Transformationu003e had ended.

Eisen stood up in the ashes of his room and let out a deep sigh as he looked at the piles that used to be his furniture, "What a bother... Well, at least everything seems to have worked out properly. Now... onto the next journey."

[You have completed your u003cTrue Demonic Transformationu003e]

[You have received your true demonic name, Hilmir Rogmalm de Grandour]

[Instead of being known as u003cGolden Eyed Demonu003e, you will be known as u003cThe Fiery King of Ancient Goldu003e]

[Your ability u003cDraconic Demon King Transformationu003e has grown and turned into u003cTrue Demon"s Transformationu003e]

[You have gained the ability u003cTrue Demon"s Domainu003e]

[You have gained the ability u003cTrue Demon"s Sp.a.w.nu003e]

[You have gained the ability u003cTrue Demon"s Willu003e]

Eisen looked at the notifications in front of him. Really, everything seemed to work out instantly this time. There was a reason why Eisen didn"t want anyone else to know about this, and that was because of the possible consequences.

Simply put, the chance for Eisen to complete the u003cTrue Demonic Transformationu003e on his first try was slim to none. Maybe he managed it because his soul already went through it once. But either way, if Eisen hadn"t managed to complete this transformation, well... Eisen would have been forced to feel torturous pain for hours on end.

If Eisen hadn"t regained the ability to feel pain in this world, that wouldn"t have been an issue. But considering that he really did regain that actually quite basic physical ability, he didn"t want the others to worry about him, maybe even trying to stop him.

It was easier this way, so that he could just pa.s.s it off as things taking a bit longer than expected if he had to try multiple times. However, this worked out to Eisen"s advantage.

The first thing that Eisen chose to do was rather simple. While Serio and Girland didn"t have access to this place due to the protective barrier that had been set up, Eisen wanted to test his abilities out a bit. He didn"t want to accidentally injure them as he tried these rather unpredictable abilities out.

While they had rather generic names, the true effects were different for each individual. So even if he wanted to guess, he wouldn"t be able to. Sure, they would probably somehow help him out with Craftsmans.h.i.+p, but beyond that, there was no way that he could really guess what was going to happen.

And also... He wanted to take a look at this room a little more. It had changed quite a bit, after all. While Eisen went through his transformation, his "Demon"s Domain" spread out around him and changed this room. The barrier created by the former Eisen would negate this Domain and get rid of it, so there was no need for him to worry about that.

But... This already gave Eisen some sort of hint at what his other abilities would be like. The ground and walls were covered in a thick layer of rock with cracks of glowing golden flames flowing throughout it.

It looked like the Demonic Eisen"s skin, really. Eisen didn"t know what sort of effects this Domain Gathered right now, since this place was too "corrupt" to display those, but they should be rather powerful ones at least.

The old man took a deep breath and activated his new Demonic Transformation.

His skin slowly changed color and started to look gray like rock, as golden lines that were almost like tattoos formed on his skin in intricate patterns that nearly seemed like carvings. Eisen"s skin in this form was no longer true rock, but it was resilient like it used to be. And the golden lines were what the cracks in his skin used to be. As they fully formed, they even started to slightly glow, and ever so slightly flowed around Eisen"s skin as if they were alive, or just some paint floating on the surface of still water.

Eisen felt the horns atop his head that really seemed to be made of solid gold, even if they didn"t weigh nearly as much. The old man"s hair as well was made of metal strands, with glowing gold flowing between them.

"Seems like this transformation truly did change quite a bit." The old man said with a smile on his face. He quickly tried out some of the different fullbody-enchantments that he created for himself in the past to see if they would still work. Luckily, instead of carving into his skin and causing him to bleed, since his skin didn"t grow any thicker anymore, the golden lines across his body s.h.i.+fted and simply formed the enchantments.

Eisen looked over his shoulder. Surprisingly, he didn"t have any wings in this form. However, the moment he thought of that fact, it was like certain things that shouldn"t be there were pulled out of the air itself and gathered on the old man"s back, forming the wings that he was supposed to have in the first place.

And in a similar way, as if they fell to dust, Eisen was able to get rid of his wings as well. Similar to that, when he tried to create his claws or his fangs, it was as if that which they were created out of were pulled out of thin air and became part of the old man"s body.

Eisen slowly looked down at his body, happy that everything seemed to have turned out quite well. It would be easier to walk around in this form if he was able to control even his wings this easily.

He had two out of four of his "True Demon" abilities figured out. The next one was u003cTrue Demon"s Willu003e. Eisen could already guess what this was about, though. It was most likely just the power that Eisen had to influence other people.

It didn"t seem like he would be able to test this out here yet, but he tried at least. As Eisen activated this ability, he could quickly feel a difference in the air itself. As if it started to s.h.i.+ft around him. He took a step forward, and the rough ground changed to be flat.

It was as if the world around him was changing to allow him to do what he wanted to do at the moment. This should be pretty interesting to try out, although there really wasn"t much left to try it out on.

So now at last came the ability that was truly the most "New" ability that Eisen gained, even if it seemed slightly similar to another one of his abilities.

Eisen held his hand forward and activated his u003cTrue Demon"s Sp.a.w.nu003e ability. Right in front of him, the ground started to convulse as if it was alive. It was pushed up and grew like a balloon filling with water. Until that growing ma.s.s split off from the ground and turned into a perfect sphere. Soon, parts of the sphere crumbled away and a small figure stood there. Barely a meter tall, with thick legs that ended in circles instead of proper feet, and similarly tube-shaped arms that ended in four thick "fingers" that could barely be called a such.

It didn"t seem to have a neck and the top of its head was perfectly flat with the exception of the two small spike-like horns sprouting at its front edge. The whole body of this Summoned Creature looked as if it was made of Eisen"s element. With black, beady eyes, the creature looked up at Eisen curiously.

"So this is my "Demon"s Sp.a.w.n", huh?" The old man muttered quietly as he squatted down and pressed his hand onto his head.

If this one was really supposed to help with Craftsmans.h.i.+p... Eisen still had to see how that was going to happen at all.

With a smile on his face, Eisen looked at the short figure in front of him and tried to think about how to best use this. But since he could hardly figure out what it could do here, Eisen instead just tried to summon as many of them as he could.

For now, it seemed like a Dozen seemed to be his limit, although that was still fairly many. Depending on what they were able to do individually, they would certainly be quite powerful.

And on top of that, each of the "Sp.a.w.ns" seemed to have their own sort of personality. They were either cowardly, brave, mean, pranksters, huggers, and probably anything else that came to mind was possible. As if they were truly alive.

For now, however, Eisen just unsummoned them. Within the ability"s description, Eisen could see a list of each individual "Sp.a.w.n". They all had their own levels, although they were still at 1 right now.

This was basically like having a dozen Tamed Monsters, huh?

"Really, quite interesting." Eisen muttered quietly, as he slowly walked through the room. The old man sc.r.a.ped away the thick layer of rock that covered the barrier and placed his hand onto the magical s.h.i.+eld. It noticed that Eisen returned to normal now and quickly turned off, making all of the rock crumble away in the process, leaving Eisen standing in a completely empty room, as if someone was yet to move into here.

The next instant, two Guardians stood behind Eisen. He turned around and looked at them with a smile.

"Could you get me my Armor and Suit again?" The old man asked, still in his new Demonic form, as Serio quickly bowed forward and nodded, "Of course, your Majesty."

Serio"s body disappeared in a blue mist and then reappeared just before that mist dissipated, with two Golem Mannequins next to him that were each wearing either Eisen"s suit or the Armor.

"They were both cleaned and properly taken care of for this, your Majesty." Girland explained, so Eisen slowly nodded his head. He put his suit onto his currently unclothed body. In some places, faint light was s.h.i.+ning through his s.h.i.+rt, but it could barely be seen when Eisen wore the full suit.

And especially when he merged it with his Armor, it was nearly invisible. At least for a moment, before Eisen did something else as well. He merged his u003cTrue Demon"s Transformationu003e with the suit, making the intricate patterns lightly glow and his whole form took on a weirdly more dignified shape, even if it physically didn"t change much.

Slowly, Eisen walked toward the door and left, ready to show the others what had changed.
