Chapter 492

Chapter 492

In this current society, people’s att.i.tude isn’t black and white like in the movie. Everyone has a complex individual trait that might differ from what society implied. For example, a villain might be a good husband, a good father, and a well-respected neighbor to somebody.

Then came a question on why Tony didn’t invite Peter Parker to join the Avenger. It came with his affection towards Peter that he saw himself in Peter’s. Tony knew that the Avengers couldn’t protect themselves and that one fact may become Peter’s downfall if Tony invited him to Avenger. After all, Peter was just a child, waiting to be guided to the right path.

Tony knew that Peter wouldn’t be able to handle the public pressure that would come as he joined the Avenger, and he wouldn’t want that to happen to Peter. Society would prey on Peter without mercy.

Dio smiled and patter Peter’s shoulder as he gave him another piece of advice. “Remember to throw those two thieves to the police.” As he walked away from the scene, Peter who surely wasn’t quite sure what was happening, scratched his head confusedly.

. . . . . . . . .

But as Dio got back into his car, a dagger suddenly flew towards him from behind. Dio immediately raise his hands to block the dagger’s path subconsciously. Although his Hamon Energy armour would make sure that he was safe all the time from something like this, he still reflectively blocked it.

But the attacker didn’t seem to get the idea and attacked once more, this time aiming for Dio’s head. But this time, Dio didn’t even try to block it as his Hamon Energy armour wouldn’t be penetrated from some measly dagger.

“This is impossible!” the attacker said as he fell down on his knee. He couldn’t explain why his dagger couldn’t hit Dio.

Dio didn’t know why the enemy was so surprised. Could it be that blocking a projectile was supposed to be that surprising?

Although the attack was very precise, the dagger itself was nothing special. Maybe if it was the same Vibranium bullets that Tony once used on him, he would be on edge.

“Who sent you?” Dio said coldly to the attacker, who has already lost his will to fight. Dio then grabbed the man’s shoulder menacingly as he really wanted to get it over with. But as he expected, the a.s.sailant wouldn’t open his mouth that easily.

Dio then heated up his Hamon Energy on his hands, burning the attacker’s shoulder little by little.

“I’ll give you one last chance, but if you choose not to say anything, you will be burned here!”

“No! you are not my real target!”

“Who is your real target? Say it! otherwise, your arm is toast!” Dio asked menacingly. He then took off the mask that covered the attacker’s face and was shocked to see that the attacker was a woman! “You are a woman?”

“I am looking for Scott Lang. My father was a former colleague of Dr. Hank Pym, and I need their help!”

Dio was surprised to hear what the woman said. But Dio believed nonetheless since it was hard to stay with your conviction when you see yourself began to burn.

“You are weird! You need their help, but you choose to attack me? I advise you to think clearly before I send you towards them inside a body bag!” Dio said coldly.

The woman was clearly stiff due to fear as she sensed Dio’s killing intent. But she knew that Dio wouldn’t kill without any reason. “Can you let go of me? I swear I wouldn’t run away!”

If this was a movie, this woman would surely try to get away, but here, Dio had the upper hand, and this woman would be a fool to try out her luck right now, so Dio let her go.

At this moment, Dio looked like a villain that has dominated the hero that he was supposed to fight. Dio’s confidence was tied with the ability of his trusted Stand and he already transformed the woman’s hand into a bomb using [Killer Queen] ability.

But surely this woman wasn’t keen on living as she suddenly turned blurry as soon as Dio let her go and walk out of the wall.

“Ahh, that ability, I remember it now!” Dio said as he remembered who she really was. Thus, he decided to let her live as she would have a profound role for Hope Van Dyne and Scott Lang later on.
