Tatsumi said with a sigh. The three of them suddenly closed their mouths.
“Um&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;?”
“Well, she’s the type of person whose resentment gets blown out of proportion by a hundred fold, probably.”
“But, it must have been even more unbearable for the person it was happening to&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;so, we wanted to apologize for thinking it was more trouble than it was worth, and pretending not to notice.”
“Sorry for everything.”
Ichikawa and Yamanoi once again apologized with their heads lowered. Unable to follow the course of the events of their conversation, Tatsumi became fl.u.s.tered.
“Please lift your heads.”
He a.s.sured them frantically.
“That was my chance. Everyone seemed to be worried about the princess’s bullying, but when I brought you doc.u.ments, she just seemed to get angry, saying it was her job!”
“But, I never knew there were rules about that sort of thing, and it wasn’t like it was decided that you would obviously need a point of contact. So I figured it was just her bullying, and I felt awful just watching.”
Tatsumi was shocked that all of these things he didn’t know about had caused such tension. Perhaps thinking a battle would break out, Yamauchi kept quiet about Shimura’s confrontation, and took a break from work for a while. Once she did, Shimura and the other employees used that opportunity to talk to him.
“So, well, a bunch of things happened, but the princess seems to have finally quit.”
“Eh, really!?”
