Chapter 405: Apologize to Everyone
“Teacher Xi, we came to your school for the lectures. If we’re really just going to dig our heads into these books, then what’s the use of staying here? Maybe we should leave.”
Yan Wei’s voice was as calm as the water, but there was a sense of threat in between her words.
It was obvious that if Cla.s.s 20 continued acting out like this, then they’d have no other choice but to leave the cla.s.sroom.
This must’ve been bad news for the students of Cla.s.s 20.
What she didn’t expect was for Cla.s.s 20 to not react at all. In fact, as they shared glances at each other, they even wished that they’d leave as soon as possible.
!!
Yao Tang glanced in Yan Wei’s direction. “If you don’t want to stay, then get lost.”
Lin Xin was a bit more polite in that regard. “It’s a pity that you’d have to leave,” she slowly said with a shrug. “But if you think that’s best for you, it’s fine with us.”
“It’s a pity to watch you go, but we just couldn’t bend our rules for anybody else. You can either stay and follow our study plan or leave, but if the plan doesn’t work for you, that’s fine with us.”
“Which cla.s.sroom do you plan on studying in? How about we help you move your desks and chairs? What do you say?” Another student chimed in as the others nodded in approval.
There wasn’t an ounce of sadness in their faces.
In fact, didn’t they look too eager to see her leave?
Her fingernails dug deeper into her palms.
“Teacher Xi, is this how the school treats their guests?”
Xi Yan could simply smile apologetically at her. “I—”
“Whatever.” She stood up, slamming her hands onto the table. “Your princ.i.p.al will hear about this. Let’s see what he thinks about your behavior.”
Yao Tang shrugged. “You don’t have to ask our permission.”
“I can tell the princ.i.p.al right now to arrange a different cla.s.s for you. You can stay there however long you like, or you can stay here.”
Then, she glanced over at her defensive stance. “However, if you even think about disturbing us during our self-study sessions, then you can trust that we’d happily pay you back in the same kind.”
There was a sense of dignity behind her words.
This person…she was something else.
Yan Wei clenched her fists. Feeling everyone’s gaze boring on her back, she didn’t look like she had another choice but to bite back her words and bow her head.
She glanced at Yang Nian, about to say something, but he shot her a look.
She immediately quieted down.
“Weiwei,” he slowly said, his voice as smooth as the sea. “Apologize to everyone, will you?”
What?
“Yang Nian,” she stuttered. “You want me to apologize to them?”
He didn’t answer, but the expression in his eyes appeared dark.
He was really serious about this!
Yan Wei’s heart was heavy with rage and disbelief, but she didn’t take it out on anyone else. Instead, she could simply bow her head at the crowd.
Everyone blinked in surprise.
She listened to him, just like that?
Initially, they had a.s.sumed that this matter would be escalated to the princ.i.p.al. They didn’t expect that Yang Nian would be the one to diffuse the situation.
They also didn’t expect Yan Wei to listen to him so quickly.
With just a few words, he had made Yan Wei bow her head in apologies!
Yang Nian simply nodded in satisfaction.
“We understand that this is the teaching method being done in Cla.s.s 20. Given that we’re here as exchange students, shouldn’t we be more open to different learning situations? It’s only reasonable that we follow suit.”
Yang Nian turned his gaze at the students of Cla.s.s 20. “I’m sorry for wasting everyone’s time. On behalf of my cla.s.smates, I apologize, and I’m hoping to learn your way as well.”
He ended his speech with a bow.
