The Evil Consort Above An Evil King

Chapter 2904

"He is not the right man for you, which is why I have brought you here."

He made a good point. Gu Xijiu could not think of anything to argue with him at the moment.

Little did she know that he would seize the window of opportunity to grab her hands. "Little Jiu."

"Splas.h.!.+ Bam!" Meng Wuya was thrown into a thermal pool nearby with a splash.

Shocked, Meng Wuya emerged from the water and looked at Gu Xijiu in utter disbelief. "Little Jiu..."

She literally threw him out, overarm. Even Gu Xijiu herself was bewildered by her quick reaction. She had not put much thought into her decision. Innocently, she blinked her eyes at him and said, "My prince, are you all right?"

"Great Kung Fu, Little Jiu." Meng Wuya had to admit it.

Not even a Great Deity could send him across the air so easily, even though he was unprepared. How could a lady with the strength of a Golden Immortal throw him out so effortlessly?

"I am flattered. It is nothing more than a self-defense skill pa.s.sed down to me in my family," Gu Xijiu gave him a smart answer.

"Your family? Where are you from?" Meng Wuya seemed a little curious.

Gu Xijiu raised her index finger to her lips and replied, "It is a secret."

Dumbfounded, Meng Wuya did not know what to say.

Meanwhile, Gu Xijiu began yawning. "Thank you for your hospitality over the past two days. It is time for me to go."

She needed more spiritual stones to complete her task. Another day of work should do it, and she did not want to be delayed. After she got the stones she needed, she would leave the Devil Kingdom. Anything that happened between her and Di Fuyi would remain in the Devil Kingdom.

"Where are you going?" Meng Wuya asked.

Gu Xijiu did not look back but walked straight to the exit. She could have used her teleporting ability, but it would immediately give her ident.i.ty away. Exposing herself was the last thing that she wanted right now.

Smilingly, Meng Wuya looked at her in disbelief. He a.s.sumed that she would never be able to leave this place without his help. Right at that moment, a dense cloud of devil spirits surrounded the entire crystal palace. Without the right ability, she would instantly be shredded into pieces after one tiny step out of the safety zone. He was confident that she would change her mind once she was reminded of them.

He decided to take his time and slowly emerged from the thermal pool and started combing his hair calmly. There was no rush at all since she was not going anywhere. Unhurriedly, he followed her to the exit and was ready to tell her that she could never make it out alone.

On his to the exit, the howling of the devil spirits startled him. It was a sign of the spirits being triggered by something. Swiftly, he sprung into action, knowing that any delay would result in her untimely death.

The lady clearly had guts, that much he knew. She should have stopped at the sight of the devil spirits; instead, she went on.

Upon arriving at the exit, his eyes caught hold of Gu Xijiu in a bubble of light while making her way out of the water. The devil spirits clearly chased after her and screeched at the horizon of her bubble of light, but none of them dared to go any closer. Oddly, she could glide her way through the dangerous water with no resistance at all. The devil spirits even gave way to her automatically, like how Moses parted the Red Sea.

Meng Wuya stared at her in silent amazement. In order to safely travel through the water, he had to apply a layer of Devil-Spirit Resistant Herbs to keep him safe. Even then, occasionally, some spirits would still attack him.

To his utter surprise, the lady only wrapped herself in a layer of wizardry barrier, and somehow that seemed to be enough to keep her safe even in the presence of the fiercest spirits. "How powerful can she possibly be?" He pondered.

Could she be the creator of the universe? He s.h.i.+vered at the thought and refused to think about it anymore.

"Little Jiu! Wait a minute!" He called out loud while making his way to her.

However, Gu Xijiu never turned back. She only waved him goodbye.
