Chapter 151: Awakening of Consciousness (8)

Jin Xiangdong looked at how shocked Lu Jia’er was. He understood Ian’s worry. Nevertheless, at the same time, another force inside him was urging him to tell her everything.

Jin Xiangdong nodded. “Yes.”

“My memories with you were replaced? How is that possible?” Lu Jia’er could not bring herself to believe this statement.

“I know that it is hard for you to accept.” Jin Xiangdong patted Lu Jia’er’s shoulder gently.

“Hypnosis?” The first idea came to Lu Jia’er’s mind was hypnosis.

Jin Xiangdong looked at her. He didn’t nod, or shake his head.

Lu Jia’er immediately remembered the last time Jin Xiangdong brought her to Liu Qiming for hypnosis. Liu Qiming arrived at the conclusion that she was not under hypnosis.

“It is not hypnosis!” Lu Jia’er negated this idea at once.

Jin Xiangdong put his arm around her shoulder. “Jia’er, I will be with you as you recover your memory.”

But Lu Jia’er would not give up. “You know how my memory was replaced, don’t you?”

As Jin Xiangdong gazed at Lu Jia’er, he hesitated for a second. If he had told her the answer directly, then it would affect the awakening of consciousness for Lu Jia’er to a certain extent. On the other hand, if he had kept such information, Lu Jia’er would try to get to the root of the issue no matter how.

For his selfish motives, Jin Xiangdong chose not to tell her the answer directly. “I am unaware of the details!”

Those words must lacked credibility because Lu Jia’er made another inquiry, “Then how did you know that my memory had been replaced”

“I realized that you had forgotten about me. I visited the hospital many times to check your medical records. Then, I tricked you into going to the hypnosis session but that was also a dead end. Afterwards, I visited Ian. However, he did not give me answers, either. It is just my speculation.”

“Speculation?” Lu Jia’er’s eyes twinkled.

“I cannot explain anything! The best I can do is to speculate!” Jin Xiangdong produced a remark, against his will.

Lu Jia’er stared at him. “Just speculation? Are you sure?”

Lu Jia’er, as a professor in psychology, could perform “mind-reading”. One slip and she could see through the lie.

For all this time, Jin Xiangdong had been tormented by the matter of losing Lu Jia’er. Now that she had come back to him, why wouldn’t he cherish this hard-earned quality time together? If he let this chance slip by, he might not get a second chance ever again.

Jin Xiangdong nodded, against his conscience. “Yes!”

Lu Jia’er’s looks were filled with confusion. She might not know the truth. But what was the truth?

Jin Xiangdong was so close to her. That tenderness in his eyes was enchanting. She lowered her head and looked at her hand in his. “I have treated you so coldly. It must have hurt you!” A moment later, she said.

Jin Xiangdong gazed at the side of her face and corrected her. “It did not just hurt me. I cried my heart out.”

Lu Jia’er could not help but burst into laughter when she heard this. “Was it really that bad?”

“I was forced to steal your kisses twice and both times, you slapped me. What do you think?” The corners of Jin Xiangdong’s mouth were curled up.

Speaking of that stolen kiss, Lu Jia’er involuntarily steered her looks towards Jin Xiangdong’s lips. They were s.e.xy. One look and she was feeling the urge to kiss him.

After confirming that he was her boyfriend, she could not help but feel some s.e.xual thoughts emerging in her heart. Was she like this before, or even more so?

Noticing that Lu Jia’er’s attention was on his lips, Jin Xiangdong grinned and then moved in closer.

Looking was not kissing.

Jin Xiangdong pressed his lips on hers. This time, the kiss was not offensive but it did come out from nowhere. In her mind, in her memory, Jin Xiangdong had still not replaced Ian completely. However, fortunately, her heart and her body no longer rejected him.

The kiss was gentle, pa.s.sionate as well as overwhelming.

For Jin Xiangdong, Lu Jia’er was still the way she was. No matter what she was, his heart was still pounding for her. In his arms, she was no longer struggling or fighting back. In fact, she was welcoming the kiss.

He was fond of interactions like this. Subconsciously, he deepened the kiss. It was as if he had tasted rare gourmet food and did not want a single piece to go to waste. He had explored every corner of her mouth.

Guided by him, Lu Jia’er found herself lost, as if she was drunk on aged wine, she was intoxicated, drowning, and losing herself.

Losing herself! In an instant, she remembered a moment of intimacy between them!

He was her boyfriend! Her love!

She was fortunate that she had found out the truth in time. It was not too late. Otherwise, what should she do?

On the couch, the kiss deepened vigorously. It appeared that Jin Xiangdong’s lips had some sort of magic. Lu Jia’er’s mind was blurred and she found her body tender and soft. She leaned against his chest and noticed her skin was hot. The blood that was flowing through the blood vessels underneath her skin were boiling like hot water.

Once again, her mind was in a trance. It was not here, nor at her place, that they were hugging and kissing. They should be on a couch in a hotel.

Jin Xiangdong let go of Lu Jia’er gently. In his arms, she had a flushed face, rosy like peach blossom in spring. Her breaths shortened and her chest was moving up and down.

He caressed her flushed cheeks. In his eyes, she was so charming. Whether it was in the old days or in the future, whether she was a human or an AI, she had always been so out of the ordinary. Of course, he himself was no ordinary man. So, it could be said that they were made for each other.

It took Lu Jia’er quite a few moments for her blurred mind to clear up again. Her heart was still beating fast and uncontrollably as she gazed at the touch of tenderness in the depths of Jin Xiangdong’s eyes.

Lu Jia’er had yet to steady her breath. But her first words were, “That kiss reminded me of something in the past!”

“What was it?” Jin Xiangdong’s deep voice was filled with gentleness.

“It was not clear but we were on a couch. You hugged me and we were kissing, not here, though!” Lu Jia’er explained.

Upon hearing this, Jin Xiangdong said, “It was in the hotel at Phi Phi Islands!”

“Right, we should have been in a hotel!” Lu Jia’er agreed.

“Really?” Jin Xiangdong’s smile carried volumes of meaning.

Lu Jia’er was baffled. “Was it not?”

“Yes, it was. But back then, our kiss was more intense than now.” While Jin Xiangdong was casual when he mentioned it, but his eyes gave her b.u.t.terflies.

“How intense?” Lu Jia’er was curious.

Now that Lu Jia’er, who was in his arms, was wondering about what happened then, Jin Xiangdong naturally would want to help her recreate that scene. He put his hands over her b.r.e.a.s.t.s.

Out of instinct, Lu Jia’er shied away. “You…”

“Scene reconstruction.” Jin Xiangdong used the two words.

He was being naughty with his hands but sounded so serious.

The flush on Lu Jia’er’s cheeks had not faded away before it grew even rosier. She tried to push away his hands. Little did she expect that Jin Xiangdong put more force in his hands?

Lu Jia’er felt as if he was scratching her heart. She trembled again.

“Such a sensitive bunny!” Jin Xiangdong put on a grin that carried s.e.xual intentions.

Lu Jia’er refused with a blushed cheek, “There is no such saying!”

“I have created one for you!” Jin Xiangdong’s lips curled up.

Lu Jia’er smiled a shy smile. “There is this saying though, a cultured ruffian is horrible!” With that said, she pushed his hands away.

Jin Xiangdong’s smile grew even deeper at this. He tried to put his big hands on her again but Lu Jia’er reacted in time and grabbed his waist so that he could not have his way.

Jin Xiangdong had to give up. He pulled his hand away. At the same time, he fondled around her waist while saying, “I am not a ruffian! This is boudoir pleasure!”

Lu Jia’er felt even shyer. But she did not have time to respond to Jin Xiangdong’s words because Ake ruined the moment. “Boudoir pleasure!”

Hearing the voice, Lu Jia’er, who was still leaning in Jin Xiangdong’s arms, sat up straight at once and tidied up her clothes. Ake had come to them.

AI and humans were still different. If it were a human being walking in on this situation, he or she would have stayed away, and not have come over to be the third wheel like Ake.

“Is lunch ready?” Jin Xiangdong asked Ake.

“Yes!” Ake answered.

Jin Xiangdong was holding Lu Jia’er in his arms. He turned over to her and said, “Let’s go!”

The flush on Lu Jia’er’s cheeks had yet to fade away. Ake asked, “Professor Lu, what is the matter? Do you have a fever?”

Lu Jia’er felt a bit embarra.s.sed. She hurried to explain, “No!”

Ake blinked in confusion and looked at Lu Jia’er. “You do not have a fever but your face is rosy. You were kissing, weren’t you?” Ake observed.

Jin Xiangdong grinned and corrected Ake. “We were enjoying the bliss of being a couple. You can say it is boudoir pleasure!”

Lu Jia’er was even more embarra.s.sed. She reached out and pinched his arm which made Jin Xiangdong frown a bit.

What he said made Ake more interested. The latter recited what he learned from Baidu Baike, “Boudoir refers to the residential s.p.a.ce that belongs only to girls. The traditional boudoir is a special s.p.a.ce in the home for families with daughters. But with the growing number of single white-collar women in cities today, boudoirs are no longer limited to one room. In more instances, boudoirs actually refers to a complete residence. Diverse and colorful boudoirs can vary in form, but there are always two solid basic requirements to be considered in interior design, one is to protect privacy and to make the residence highly confidential, and the other is to consider sensibility and adopt fancy decoration. So, the boudoir pleasure refers to the fun in the boudoir. But the modern meaning of boudoir pleasure is the fun shared between a couple on their wedding night.”
