Chapter 1138: In the Future
Xia Qingwei smiled at them. “I’m sorry I can’t teach you all any longer.”
The children were dismayed. “Why can’t you teach us anymore? Ms. Xia, are you no longer our teacher?”
“That’s right. ” Xia Qingwei smiled, reaching out to touch the child’s head.
But the child’s parent immediately pulled him away, as if Xia Qingwei had a contagious disease. The parent looked at her, nervous and alert, ready to prevent Xia Qingwei from touching her kid.
Her child could not have any interaction with such an unethical person who’s a third party!
Xia Qingwei dropped her smile and heard the parent say, “What d’you ask so much questions for? Doesn’t matter if she doesn’t teach you anymore, it’s the same if someone else teaches you!”
“It’s not!” the child argued. “Ms. Xia is so nice and patient. I can learn a lot of things from Ms. Xia. The other teachers speak too fast and I don’t get some things, but I could understand everything Ms. Xia taught.”
“Ask if you don’t understand! It’s the same no matter who teaches you!” The parent pulled the child farther away.
Other kids were saying, “I don’t want Ms. Xia to go, I want to learn from her.”
However, the other parents reacted similarly, pulling their kids away and telling them to stop such nonsense.
Xia Qingwei sighed and said, “Be good students, children. Other teachers can teach equally well. If there’s anything you don’t know, don’t be shy and be sure to ask. I’m really sorry, but I won’t be teaching you all today. You’re all good children who learn well. I’m thankful to have had such wonderful students like you.”
Hearing Xia Qingwei’s gentle voice made the children more upset. Recalling her patience and gentleness in cla.s.s, they started bawling.
“Don’t go, Ms. Xia, I won’t let you go!”
“We want Ms. Xia to teach us!”
The parents got angry when they heard this and dragged their kids aside to scold them.
Xia Qingwei sighed, looking at this mess.
She turned and said to Director Sun, “Thank you for taking care of me during this period of time, Director Sun. And thank you for standing up for me earlier.”
Director Sun exhaled. “It wasn’t much. But I believe in you because I know you.”
Xia Qingwei smiled. “I won’t let you down.”
“Then…” Xia Qingwei took a deep breath. “I’ll be going. I’ll come and see you guys in the future.”
“Okay.” Director Sun felt regretful.
Xia Qingwei had a good personality and was mild-tempered. She could get along with everyone easily too.
And the kids liked her.
So Director Sun felt disappointed that she was leaving.
As Xia Qingwei waited for the lift, she called w.a.n.g Juhuai.
“Why is it this early? There’s no lesson?” w.a.n.g Juhuai questioned as he drove to pick her up.
“No, I’ll tell you when I see you,” Xia Qingwei said. “The lift’s here and the reception inside is bad. I’ll hang up first.”
“Alright.”
Hanging up, Xia Qingwei entered the lift.
When she exited the school’s building, w.a.n.g Juhuai’s car was already waiting by the gate.
w.a.n.g Juhuai asked the instant she boarded the car, “What’s wrong?”
He was looking at Xia Qingwei’s dejected face, which was unable to perk up.
“Let’s go first,” Xia Qingwei said.
She was afraid that w.a.n.g Juhuai would go to the school if she explained now.
Normally, people would have heard of w.a.n.g Juhuai’s name but would not be able to recognize him instantly.
But this was a music school, and w.a.n.g Juhuai worked in the music industry. It could be said that here, he would be easily recognizable.
